This card is a very powerful attack machine that can go straight for your opponent's’ monsters or even attack your opponents directly, disregarding any face-down Spell/Traps they have in place, or face-down monsters that has effect of destroying the monster that destroys it.
However, Sphere Kuriboh can still be used to switch your Ancient Gear Beast’s position so do take note on that.
Always remember, Ancient Gear archetypes have access to both Machine-type support cards and Ancient Gear support cards, so you can build your deck with the best support cards among them.
There are pros and cons between selecting Ancient Gear Engineer and Ancient Gear Beast as your main choice of attacker (Since they both require 1 tribute to summon). Ancient Gear Engineer might be weaker in ATK and DEF, but it is immune to Trap effects and even able to destroy 1 Spell/Trap every turn it attacks. - Ancient Gear Beast comes out as a strong monster in terms of ATK and DEF, can even negate opponent monsters’ effects without using Gravity Blaster, and it can also be equipped with Rare Metalmorph, something which Ancient Gear Engineer isn’t capable of.
Do take note that before/during attack declaration, your Ancient Gear monsters are still susceptible to cards like Forbidden Chalice, which will negate your Ancient Gear monsters suppression effect until your End Phase, in which this will allow your opponents to respond with their face-down Spell/Traps during your Damage step.
These are among the most prominent Spell/Trap cards in current meta that are triggered during Battle Phase, to protect monsters on the field and it will be suppressed by Ancient Gear Beast during its battle phase.
This is the recommended support card for Ancient Gear Beast. The main usage here is to continuously increase its Attack Points by 400 every turn. And as a bonus, the 400 attack increase will continue every turn, even after this card is removed from the field.
