I put this guy in my Shiranui deck.
Send those zombie boys into graveyard, where they can activate their effects, and straight away sychro summons while clearing out opponents field.

Currently, I mix Mayakashi and Shiranui together. And this fella really help out big time.

This card and power of the guardians are two that should not be normal rarity given how strong they are with the right deck

This card now with 3 copies in Sylvan Decks is like Golden Bamboo Sword in Bamboo OTK Decks before limiting Golden bamboo sword and It is typically very easy to get like This spell so .... These two facts make me fell that there is high probability to limit or semi-limit magical merchant in the near future like Dakini and Golden Bamboo Sword

No, because pinch hoppers description says: "when this card you control is send to the graveyard", that means you must have pinch hopper on the field. Face up or set.

There are some really nasty OTKs that are made possible with Merchant. I've been testing a deck that runs 3 Lycanthrope and 2 of its ritual spell, 3 Merchant, and the rest of the deck is vannilas. You can usually end up dealing upwards of 4000 on turn 2-3 with a good hand if you use Kaiba's Beatdown skill.
