Tag Duel Opponent's Decklists

Event information

Announced at 8 Jan 2019, the Tag Duel Tournament is back again! You can earn tag coins to draw from the lottery which can get Exclusive Reward Cards as last time but this time, you can Tag Duel alongside "Yugioh 5D's" Characters.

How to Play

Duel in Duel World and Ranked DUel to obtain Frienship Letters
Use Friendship Letters to Tag Duel
Obtain Tag Coins by Tag Dueling
Save up your Tag Coins to draw from the lottery
Obtain Completion Rewards by winning Tag Duels

Features

Difficulty levels

You can now choose the difficulty of your opponent's team before Tag Dueling them.
If you win the Tag Duel at a higher difficulty, you will receive a bonus on your Duel Assessment.

Tag partners can be controlled

You can now manually control your tag partner for tournaments you have won.
Manual control can be turned on and off from your partner's Deck screen.

Free lottery

Once a day you can draw from the lottery 10 times for free.

Tournament selection screen

You can select which tournament to enter from the "Change Cup" button in the upper-left corner of the event page.

Friendship Letters

You need Friendship Letters to enter in the Tag Duel Tournament
Friendship Letters can be obtained by Dueling in Duel World or Ranked Duel

Dark Magician Cup

The Dark Magician Cup has been unlocked after 10 Jan 2018 13:00 if you have complete the Neos Cup.

Duel Challengers

There is a chance that Challengers will appear after a Tag Duel. If you duel against Challengers, you will have high coin multiplier than usual to obtain alot of Lottery Coins.

Note: Dueling against Challengers doesn't require Friendship Letters.

Challengers

There is a chance that Challengers will appear after a Tag Duel.
Duels against Challengers will have a higher coin multiplier than usual, making it a prime opportunity to obtain lots of Tag Coins.
Challengers will disappear after a set period of time, so make sure not to miss the opportunity.
Duels against Challengers does not require Friendship Letters.

Tag Coins

You can obtain Tag Coins by Tag Dueling. Tag Coins can be used at the lottery to obtain cards and items.
The higher your Duel Assessment score, the more Tag Coins you get.
In addition, your Tag Coin Multiplier will increase at higher difficulties.
Players recieve 1 Tag Coin per 100 Duel Assessment score (max. 80)

I've seen the Congratulations for one or two dozen times now on completing master. Still not a single Salamander drop from the lottery.
True RNG will mean a few of the millions of people who play this game will never see that drop. Can Konami at least give weights to the RNG until you have 3 of every card??

I mean 🔥, it is UR after all right? You have three statistics you have to beat in order to get Salamander. First one is the rarity of getting a UR pack. The second is the probability of a UR being in that pack. The third is a chance of it being one or the other URs in the pack. If they give weights to RNG only after 3 copies of each card has been gathered, that defeats the purpose of rarity.

You know you're pretty much fcked when Kaiba summon BEWD on his early turn, only to get taken by Reliquished.

Also there's twister there but he just leave it alone instead of using it on relinquished equip all the time.

Why the hell would you set metamorph. I had the opposite problem. I ran a gem Knight deck with Joey and he sacrificed all my material monsters.

Somehow konami manage to irritate me so much lately. From limited time box with friggin new cards that I spectacularly fail to obtain and now they want me to farm an event with shaky npc partner. Maybe I should take a break or even quit this game.

After a while, you will realize that the RNG in Duel Links is manipulated/rigged. That's enough to keep me from spending money on this game, but I will still play it casually.

Your Assessment score fool. There's literally no point beyond reaching for 8k Assessment, even then, just ending any duel w/ 100LP is an instant +3k Assessment, which can almost guarantee you a 7k Assessment in the last duel.

So, what's the point of "farming" and these poor decks if its that easy to near max your single duel tag coins?

I’m also use similar deck like yours, with changing a couple of backrow cards, but i think so far, this deck it’s just works to farm meg’s, joey’s, marik, and paradox team.. it’s not working well against pegasus and yugi.

just add 3 Ritual Sealing in your deck. That will destroy Relinquished. and add 3 Super Rush Headlong. easy

To be honest, I like the concept of the Tag Duels. I just hate the AI partners aside from Joey. He's the only one who hasn't p*ssed me off yet. When I ran a Heroes deck, Yami Yugi would always sacrifice my Elemental HERO Flame Wingman to get his Dark Magician onto the field, even though FWM had a great effect. Kaiba's the same way when it comes to trying to get his Blue-Eyes on the field. Not to mention both of them prioritize using my Metalmorph on their own monsters when I set it.

I would like this event to return with the ability to chose the deck your partner has. I know, it would make the game too damn easy. However, it would be fun as I doubt they will ever make it so you can tag duel in PVP.

Also, they need to update this page, Kaiba had Dimensional Transporter replaced with Negate Attack for a while now. Thanks to that I managed to beat Yami Yugi and Yugi at least twice now.
