→ Pegasus: overview
By earning 1,500,000 points, you can get a copy of Relinquished (The 1st one is in Pegasus's starter deck)!
All the current toon monsters are only available from this event. Make sure you get all the ones available from duel reward and event point rewards, otherwise you will have to wait until the next event.
Since you don't have to use Gate Keys to duel against Pegasus, you can use different characters to learn new drop skills. Use decks to farm Pegasus lvl 40 that can get a high score without using any set skill.
Pegasus will start to appear in your Duel World once you reach 250,000 points. You don't need any star chips to duel him if he appears in your world. Be on the lookout for his appearance and duel him to get a x20 point multiplier based on your duel assessment score!
During the event period, players have to acquire an event item, "Star Chip", by winning a duel against Standard Duelists to challenge Pegasus at the Gate. By earning certain amount of Points from a duel against Pegasus, the character will be available to you!
Note: You can’t save star chips for next event so it is better to use them all up for some drop items.
To maximize Star Chip gains, use an auto duel deck that has a high chance of winning against the CPUs. You can also tell your friends to send you Vagabond with easy challenges instead of 1 hand to get exp. Duel Orb can also be used to instantly replenish the SDs in your duel world. If you plan on using Boosted Duel Orb, then prepare your best auto duel deck beforehand in order to not waste any time.

Card / [Rarity] | Explanation |
---|---|
Toon Mermaid [SR] | Since this card is special summon, you can summon 3 in a turn or use it to set up for an easy tribute summon into other monsters. |
Toon World [SR] | Crucial in a toon world deck, but can be unnecessary to get multiple copies since it's better to use Pegasus' exclusive skill It's a Toon World. |
Gorgon's Eye [SR] | It negates flip effect monsters and ones that have effects when they're in defense position. Does not work against cards like Yomi Ship or Blue Dragon Summoner since they activate in the graveyard. |
Toon Masked Sorcerer [SR] | Low stats and it's not a special summon monster like Toon Mermaid, but it can be useful to draw a card if you can damage your opponent using some support cards. |
Card of Sanctity [SR] | Very situational, but it can be put to good use in certain decks like Standby Burn, or Surprise Present. |
By earning certain amount of Points, you will receive Gold, jewels, Gems, Duel Orbs, Cards, and the special character, Pegasus! Here is a list of required points to unlock Pegasus and get cards.

So you have met your old friends now, but I truly recommend you having duels against Pegasus as much as you can while he is at the Gate, since the event is for a limited time.
Star Chip is an item first appeared at Duelist Kingdom in Yu-Gi-Oh manga/anime. The tournament was held by Pegasus, and that is why the item is used for the in-app event.
Yes, duelists show you unique stories of relationships between them and Pegasus based on manga/anime when they see Pegasus at the Gate first.
