Since the whole deck is based around summoning Relinquished as soon as possible, use all the cards you have just to summon him as fast as you can. Always play "Sonic Bird" and "Senju of the Thousand Hands" in face up position in order to trigger their effect.
Lava Golem is like an unstoppable monster removal, no way to negate it, and no way to prevent it unless your opponent controls less than 2 monsters. Then suck up Lava Golem with Relinquished leave your opponent open for a 3000 direct attack.
There are now many cards that your opponent can use to prevent Relinquished from sucking up their monster leaving Relinquished a defenseless zero attack and defense monster, but most of these are only temporary solutions so if you manage to protect your Relinquished for one turn you're most likely gonna be okay.
Sphere Kuriboh can prevent an opponent's attack and can be used as ritual cost even while in the graveyard.
Use Enemy Controller to prevent an attack, or take control of your opponent's monster by tributing your own.
Super Rush Headlong destroys any monster of an attribute of your choice when battling your monster.
Swap out sonic bird for Seargent Electro; this causes problems with your enemy's backrow and has higher attack and defence to last you longer to bring out Relinquished.

This is my current relinquished deck which has gotten me from bronze 1 to silver 2 already. It is quite versatile for a starter relinquished deck with cards locking spells and traps which can spells and traps being used in a duel, lowering/destroying opponents monsters and easily bringing out monsters to go for an easy kill to taking your monster that is tributes to your side.
My deck consists of (because won't let me post image):
Exiled Force x1
Gale Lizard x1
Senju of the Thousand Hands x1
Sphere kuriboh x1
Axe dragonute x1
Seargent Electro x2
4-starred ladybug of doom x1
Double cyclone x1 (can also use galaxy cyclone or cosmic cyclone)
Forbidden chalice x1
Super rush headlong x1
Black illusion ritual (essential)
Mirror Wall x1
Embodiment of Apophis x2 (Easy for ritual summon)
Wall of disruption x1
Wild tornado x1
Xing Zhen Hu x1
Golden Apples x1
(I know these are high rarity cards but these work well together) for example double cyclone can destroy Wild Tornado to destroy on spell card your opponent has, then Wild Tornado has an effect of when it is destroyed you can "Destroy 1 face up card on the field" (includes monsters).
So im pretty new to this stuff... but here is my first attempt at a relinquished deck.
2x Relinquished (Boss)
2x Djin's (Trap/ Tribute)
2x Spere Kuribo (Defence / Tribute)
2x Winged Kuribo (Defence)
2x Senju of a Thousand Hands (Drawing)
2x Sonic Birds (Drawing)
1x Ritual Cage (Effect Negation)
1x Fullfillment of the Contract (revival)
1x Riryoku Field (counter darkcore, tribute to the doomed and other mean cards like super rush)
1x Curse of Anubis (Protect backline)
1x Mirror Wall (protects monsters multiple turns with 1 card)
The idea is to protect your already hard to kill monster ass far as possible and then protect what is protecting him... creating layers of defences on 1 monster...
lets just keep this simple... you don't. 3350 gems till first mirrorwall drop... still not 1x senju drop... so dont shit yourself... if your prepared to pay that for it... sure... but you need to know you aint getting around the fact that its gonna cost a ton...
I've been trying out Djinn Disserere of Rituals in a Relinquished deck recently and it's been putting in work. A lot of times I discard it for Ultimate Providence and it continues making itself useful from the grave for Relinquished's ritual tribute.
i feel sad reading this.. :) lol... i dont even have 1x senju... and too make matters worse... even by the time this deck is done.. its a 7/10 deck at best... for a fraction you can go sylvan, aroma, blue eyes and and and and and... and most of those will probably be beter decks... but from a collecters point of view... WELL DONE MATE!
