With the release of Paladin of Felgrand and Arkbrave Dragon from the new structure box: Dragonic Knights, they specialize in using a level 7/8 Dragon-Type monsters, including Red-Eyes Slash Dragon. This can make it a strong deck with their ability to bring back the Dragons repeatedly.

In the deck, you can use Paladin of Felgrand's effect to equip him with either Red-Eyes B. Dragon, or Arkbrave Dragon. Equip him with Arkbrave if you already have a Red-Eyes in the grave, which is usually from Red-Eyes Insight, otherwise, equip your Paladin with B. Dragon to set up for your later plays. Always use the monsters from your deck as the resource, in case you want to tribute your monsters later on, and to not be at a card disadvantage.
Part of what makes this deck quite strong is Arkbrave's ability to special summon Slash Dragon. If you have at least 2 Slash Dragon, you can keep a Slash Dragon on your field for the majority of the duel.
Normal summon your Paladin and equip him with Arkbrave, then fuse into Slash Dragon with your B. Dragon. This will activate Arkbrave's effect to special summon B. Dragon on the next standby phase. Equip your Slash Dragon with Paladin of Felgrand when you attack. If your Slash Dragon gets destroyed, special summon your Paladin and equip him with another Arkbrave. If it happened during your battle phase, then you can crash into your opponent's monster with your Paladin to bring back Slash Dragon again on the next standby phase.
Vyon is used in the deck to search for Polymerization. Normal summon him to send another Vyon from your deck and banish it to get a Poly. This can thin your deck somewhat quickly, but Vyon will be vulnerable for a turn, which is why he's a good monster to start early, but not late. King of the Swamp can be good for searching or simply as a fusion substitute monster. A cheaper alternative than to bring these 2 are to use Fusion Recycling Plant.
Red-Eyes support cards like Spirit and Insight are still very much needed in the deck. Insight lets you make plays very early in the duel, and Spirit can bring back your B. Dragon or Slash Dragon. Release Restraint Wave is to remove your equipped monster to get rid of your opponent's back row. Use it when your Paladin is equipped with Arkbrave to activate Arkbrave's effect on the next standby phase. Burst Breath is a tech card that you can use in the deck. It can help get over a lot of monsters, but it will also destroy your own monsters.
Card | Explanation |
---|---|
Windstorm of Etaqua Wall of Disruption | Cards like these and Mirror Wall / Super Rush Headlong are standard generic backrow for some survivability that you can use in any deck. |
Guardian of Felgrand | This lets you equip a Dragon monster that is in your graveyard, letting you use Arkbrave's effect again. |
Dragon Knight of Creation | The first and second effect might not be used that much, but its third effect lets you revive a Dragon right away. |
The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion | Fusion substitute material that can also be used for B. Skull Dragon if you have Red-Eyes B. Dragon on the field after using Red-Eyes Spirit. |
Elemental HERO Blazeman | Alternative to Vyon. There's also Fusion Sage, Elemental HERO Woodsman, or Fusion Recycling Plant. |
Parallel Twister | To send any equipped monster to good use. Can also use Storm. |
Meteor B. Dragon | High attack fusion monster that you can use if you are using fusion substitute monsters. |
Buster Blader, the Dragon Destroyer Swordsman | Very powerful if you use this against a Dragon type deck since its effect is continuous. |
