Pros

  • First effect lets you grab a level 7 or 8 monster from your deck as the resource. This can help with deck thinning, or prevent card disadvantage.
  • It also works when special summoned, which lets you re-use it multiple times if you can special summon it.
  • Can special summon a level 7 or 8 Dragon-type monster from your graveyard.
  • Immune to other monsters' effect, allowing you to safely attack a face-down monster your opponent controls without having to worry that it's a card like Man-Eater Bug.

Cons

  • Only works with level 7 or 8 Dragon-type monsters.
  • Bringing high level Dragon-type monsters that require 2 tributes can be bad if you end up drawing into them.
  • Last effect requires another monster as tribute to special summon a level 7 or 8 Dragon-type monster from your graveyard.

Tips

It can be a good fit in a Red-Eyes deck since Paladin of Felgrand can be used to fuse into Red-Eyes Slash Dragon, though you can't fuse with the equipped Dragon. Paladin of Felgrand can also fetch a Red-Eyes from your deck, and if it gets destroyed, you can bring back Red-Eyes using Red-Eyes Spirit, which can also be used to bring back your Slash Dragon.

Use Paladin of Felgrand's effect to equip itself with Arkbrave Dragon, then you can fuse it with a Red-Eyes B. Dragon to get Red-Eyes Slash Dragon out and equip Slash Dragon with Paladin for a set up. This will let you special summon a Red-Eyes on the next standby phase (from Arkbrave's effec), and if your Slash Dragon gets destroyed, you can special summon Paladin and equip it with another Arkbrave (if you have 2 copies in the deck) for yet another set up, except this time, your Arkbrave can be used to special summon Slash Dragon.

Paladin of Felgrand can equip a Dragon from the deck or your hand, but Guardian can get a Dragon from your hand or grave to boost its attack. They also have the effect of summoning a Dragon from the grave if you have another monster on the field. The boss monster that the Felgrand archetype wants to summon is the Felgrand Dragon. It takes advantage of the level 4 monsters' effects of equipping a Dragon monster and sending it to the graveyard, increasing Felgrand Dragon's attack considerably.

You can also use it with Release Restraint Wave, which comes in the structure box as well. This will remove the equipped card to destroy your opponent's set spell and trap cards, making your monster no longer immune to other monsters' effects. Your opponent can still chain their cards to this card's activation to prevent it from getting destroyed though. Use these to send Arkbrave Dragon to the grave so you can special summon a Dragon type monster on the next standby phase.

[Skill] descriptionUser
Labyrinth Builder
Shuffle 2 cards from your hand into the Deck to create "Labyrinth Wall" on your side of the field. This skill can only be used once per Duel.

Paradox Brothers

Labyrinth Builder skill lets you shuffle your cards back into your deck, so in the event that you get your level 7/8 Dragon monster in your starting hand, you can activate the skill to send them to your deck, summon your Paladin of Felgrand to equip a Dragon, preferably Arkbrave. If you have ways to send a level 7/8 Dragon to the graveyard early then you can activate Paladin's last effect to tribute itself and the labyrinth wall to special summon a Dragon from the grave.

I don't know why, but sometimes, When you use paladin's effect to special Arkbrave Dragon from the graveyard, Arkbrave's backrow banishing effect doesn't ask use for activation and it doesn't activate.

Anyone can guess why ?

Yep, that's true.

The kind of things you forget 1 week after reading the card effect.

XD

I wonder when we will get more Felgran or Arkbrave cards

That sure explain why I haven't see this card being used anywhere.

A strategy that isn’t shown with this card is equipping Blue-Eyes from the deck and then activating Burst Stream of Destruction to destroy all of the opponent’s monsters. Burst Stream only requires Blue-Eyes to exist on the field in some, not specifically as a monster, and we don’t have to worry about not being able to attack with our monster.

When this card is equipped with a level 7 or 8 monster does it gain its attack and defense points

LOL what part of this card's description made you think that it would gain ATK and DEF?
That's not even mentioned!

One of best combo with paladins are felgrand statue spells. You can get it up to 3 from mokuba's lvl up reward.
1. Summon paladin, equip arkbrave
2. Activate felgrand spell, send equiped arkbrave to GY, then you'll get 1 token
3. Tribute paladin and token, SS arkbrave from GY

pros:
1. You get arkbrave 1 turn
2. You can banish any face up spell/trap cards along with additional atk on arkbrave (arkbrave effect SSed from GY)
3. Felgrand spell effect that negates SS monster effects first turn it SSed

first im an arabian i love the game
Second when i want to special summon a dragon
Do i have to tribute the paladin card with another card to summon the dragon
Or it only works with an equip spell

You need to have Felgrand AND another monster on the field to tribute both to SS a level 7/8 dragon from your graveyard. You don't need to have anything equipped to this card to use that effect.
