"50% Off Sale" - How To Invest and Which Boxes To Pick [May 21]

Duel Links, Which Boxes To Pick, Which cards are good for investing.
update 21/05/2022

Sale Duration

Period20 May 2022 - 26 May 2022

Introduction

Older Boxes mostly contain outdated cards that have not seen play in a very long time, which is why, if you have a limited amount of resources available, you should generally just stay away from them.

Nobody should have to dig through a Box like The The Ultimate Rising to try and get a copy of Sphere Kuriboh because they might end up exhausting all their gems in the process, but what if those 200 packs costed 5,000 gems instead of 10,000? Would it be worth it then to invest? This is the question that I’m going to try and answer here; I’m going try and direct you towards the Boxes that contain the highest amount of value in order for you to take full advantage of the current sale.

I will be introducing which box is worth to invest and giving each card that’s good enough to be a reason to invest in a specific Box a rating from one to three stars in order to make this guide easier to go through. Let’s jump into it!

the cards you would want to invest if you have not once touch the first 7 box as of current power level is ... to go for long lasting staples which is wall of destruction & sphere kuriboh.
The rest mentioned above are good but not worth enough to warrant an investment of your gems unless you have big surplus or are a whale.
gasthejews88
some of the mini boxes are tempting, but to put those 5000ish gems on a full box for just a few cards seems like a waste of resources

Funnily enough, I've seen Mirror Wall played in the last 3/4 Trimid decks I've played against in Legend. Dunno why, but it seems popular in that deck
<< Anonymous
Some 2 Cents Reply
Mirror Wall works better than WOD if your opponent only has one monster. Also, MW is not a battle trap so it can be activated before an attack. It can be used to threaten your opponent from attacking and survive like for example, Wall us completely useless against AG, but if you activate Mirror Wall, your opponent risk their beater's attack to be reduced to 1.5k.

Hello
You should include the cards in farming decks too. Some of them are from very old boxes. Cards like Simultaneous Loss, Sprite's Blessing, and Secret Passage should be added as well.

Dawn of Destiny is the main pack on the 50% sale(s) that's actually worth buying. A lot of value is found in the rares, and the other cards are pretty good as one-ofs.

Super Rush Headlong x1
Sacred Pheonix of Nephthyss
Magical Exempler x1
Heavy Knight of the Flame x1
Il Blud x1
Tribute to the Doomed x1
Fire King Avatar Yaksha x3
Fire King Island x3
Good Goblin House Keeping x3
Hazy Flame Hyppogrif x3

For 2,000 Gems!

All of these cards are "meta", you get some good tech options, and some core deck building material.

Not bad at all.
Anonymous
Dawn of Destiny and Servants of Kings both have some pretty viable cards in them. You can clear each of them for like, 2k gems, which isn't really a lot. Ecen if you don't want a playset, a single copy of things like Super Rush Headlong, Forbidden Chalice, and Wall of Disruption for teching is easily worth 1k~2k gems.

Agree with Dawn of Destiny. Cards like Yaksha, Fire King Island, Good Goblin Househeeping have been used for very long time in farm deck

Yeah, the other pack I mention has two GREAT cards in it... but the rest of the pack is pretty garbage. Dawn of Destiny has two great rares and 3~5 really good sr/urs. Super Rush Headlong is as good as Chalice or Wall, so Dawn is for sure the best option. Especially if you scooped up the yubel bits from the recent event and are itching to make her deck!
