You can Ritual Summon this card with any "Vendread" Ritual Spell. You can banish 1 "Vendread" card from your GY and declare 1 type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); for the rest of this turn, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects of that type. If this Ritual Summoned card is sent to the GY: You can add 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand, and if you do, send 1 "Vendread" monster from your Deck to the GY. You can only use each effect of "Vendread Battlelord" once per turn.

Just had him destroyed by Divine Wrath and when in GY he had the icon stating that can't be special summoned. Can someone explain? Was properly summoned to the field...

Do you check the field? Is there any skill, such as sealed tombs or cards such as necrovalley on the field? What card are you using to bring him back? And also, if you happen to have at least 2 of them, did you somehow banish or return the properly summoned battlelord? This tends to happen

It depends. For a matchup against daklord, battlelord is much more better since you can disable monster eff for one turn. If you use revenant as its material, then right after using battlelord effect, the darklords will use their monster eff to chain. You can chain it with revenant eff in battlelord to banish the monster on that turn. Chain order is really important

Seems like battlelord. Battlelord cant negate anything. It prevent you from actived it in the first place. Combined with hellhound+ Revenant as the material, it can banish any spell/trap and special summoned monster every turn.

The reason why they can do it isn't because of this card, but because of their 4* monster vendread revenants. The vendread non-ritual monsters all give their ritual monsters effects if you use them as materials while on the field. Revenants effect allows you to banish the monsters, not battlelord. Hope that clears things up.

this monster only negate monster... tramps or spells every turn. the banish effect come from the monster card used for the ritual.

It doesnt say that but 3 some reason it let my opponent banish my dark paladin when I summoned it. How tf did it do that

Duel link doesnt include an updated monster effect which is inherted by the materials. You just have to check beforeward.

I think everyone is underestimating how useful this card can be if you can get it out. Pretty much every meta-deck relies on monster effects to get things done (Desperado, Yubel, Shi-en) so being able to seal them off for a turn can really turn the duel back in your favor.

Just keep in mind that it only stops the activation. Continuous effects won't be negated (like the "destroy another Six Sam" effect from Shi En)

True, but with it's ability to stop your spell/traps disables it's far easier to get rid of considering you now have options to backrow removal/creature removal.
