How to Get Rainbow Dragon Playmat:

Duel Links deck to get Rainbow Dragon Playmat, how to summon Rainbow Dragon 100 times, the easiest way to get the playmat.
update 02/11/2018

Harpie Dancer Version

Like any other ace monster playmat, the Rainbow Dragon Playmat can be obtained by summoning Rainbow Dragon 100 times. But with such a difficult summoning condition, the Rainbow Dragon Playmat would take you ages to obtain via Normal Dueling. This deck is specifically made to summon Rainbow Dragon as many times as possible till the opponent decks out. It is best to use this deck against a helpless opponent like a Lvl10 Legendary Duelist. The skill also doesn't matter much but Destiny Draw and Restart are good ones to use with this deck.

This deck is credited to @freresduellinks. Here is a link to his tweet!

How to Use

General Rules

  • It is always best to Duel weak opponents when using this deck. We recommend any Lvl 10 Legendary Duelists as they have really weak monsters and no harmful spell/trap cards.
  • You must only control 1 monster on the field as a wall. The other 2 monster zones must always be reserved for Harpie Dancer and Rainbow Dragon.
  • If you summon Crystal Beast Sapphire Pegasus as a Wall, do not activate his effect because this will clog your backrow.
  • Only use your draw spell/trap cards if you know you can resolve them. Do not use Shard of Greed if you have less than 4 cards in your deck, and only set Jar of Greed and Legacy of Yata-Garasu if you have enough cards in your deck. This is to prevent your backrow from clogging because you need all spaces for this loop.
  • Set DNA transplant the mid game before you start your loop.

Draw Power

Simple draw effects that help thin your deck faster. The quicker you are able to cycle through your deck, the quick you can get to your Rainbow Dragon loop.

Wonder Balloons

Video

Use Wonder Balloons to discard every Crystal Beast monster you control. This Set up your graveyard for summoning Rainbow Dragon, and allows you to use practically any monster in your deck as a wall.

Anti Deck-Out

Mask of Remnants can be used infinitely and returns to the deck, meaning that you never deck out. Just remember to keep a spell/trap zone open so that you can activate this card. Its best to only put this card back into the deck after you have drawn all other cards.

The Loop

The loop is quite simple and goes like this.

  1. Have all Crystal Beast monsters in your field and/or graveyard.
  2. Summon Harpie Dancer.
  3. Activate your set DNA transplant. Declare WIND.
  4. Special Summon Rainbow Dragon.
  5. Return Rainbow Dragon to hand with Harpie Dancer's effect.
  6. Special Summon Rainbow Dragon.
  7. Since Harpie Dancer's effect can only be used once per turn you now have to end your turn.
  8. Repeat steps 5, 6, and 7 every turn.

Game Extender

Now you have a once per turn loop and you will never deck-out, the only thing to worry about now is your opponent decking out. We cannot completely prevent this from happening but we can try to extend the game by giving him more deck cards. Use Graceful Tear and Give your opponent Localized Tornado, he will then proceed to set it. Localized Tornado will sit on his field until the turn before he decks out, activating it and then returning all his hand and field cards back to the deck.

Other Useful Cards

CardExplanation
A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon
A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon
Can be used as a replacement for Harpie Dancer, returns Rainbow Dragon to the hand. Must have a spell/trap card on the field to activate.
Magical Citadel of Endymion
Magical Citadel of Endymion
Use in combination with A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon so that you will always have a spell/trap card on the field to destroy. This works because activating A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon adds one counter, while resolving its effect removes 1 counter maintaining this card on the field.
Pot of Benevolence
Pot of Benevolence
Return A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon back to your deck for reuse.
Different Dimension Capsule

Search card to help thin your deck.
The Cheerful Coffin
The Cheerful Coffin
Used to discard Crystal Beasts from your hand.
Good Goblin Housekeeping
Good Goblin Housekeeping
Can be used as a replacement for Jar of Greed but you will need to run 3 copies of this card for maximum efficiency.

Can you get the playmat even if you end in ¨Draw¨ or ¨Lose? after you did the 10 summons per duel?

Frost Reply
It's not stated that you have to "win Duel(s) with...". So, it still counts even if you lose the Duel.

are there any replacements for wonder balloons?

Wonder Balloons is unnecessary against quite a few Level 10 LD's. (Yami Yugi, Mai and Tea for example.) Just make sure they don't have a monster with 1200+ ATK in their Deck, and don't have a card like Kaiba's Twister or Joey's Block Attack that could screw up your setup.

Just use cards that let you discard cards to graveyard. e.g cheerful coffin

It should be noted that you get automatically Draw'd out by turn 50 when going for this 'farming' method.

Just so people aren't surprised by it when it happens. At least it won't be too boring.

Thank you for the video. Awesome way to summon a difficult card multiple times in one duel. Much appreciated.
