Notes

  • Discard Warrior of Atlantis to search out A Legendary Ocean.
  • With A Legendary Ocean on the field, you can summon Level 5 WATER monsters without tribute.
  • Special summon Fortress Whale with his own effect to search out Sea Stealth Attack.
  • Your stall setup should be A Legendary Ocean, Sea Stealth Attack, and up to 2 high-leveled WATER monsters.
  • Keep destroying Syrus' monsters so that he will have less chance to fusion summon.
  • You can use Sea Stealth Attack to temporarily banish your monsters dodging the effects of Shield and Sword and Inverse Universe.
  • Make sure you activate Anti-Magic Arrows during your final battle phase so that Syrus cannot activate No Entry!!.

Notes

  • In order to get 8k+ pts, you will need to destroy 10 monsters and at least 2 glossy cards (even during the +1000 extra campaign bonus), so keep using Medusa Worm more than Guardian Statue.
  • Use Restart skill to make sure you get Array of Revealing Light or Planet Pathfinder. Ideally, with a Medusa Worm or Guardian Statue as well.
  • Use Array of Revealing Light and choose Machine type monsters.
  • Set at least 2 monsters on the field since Syrus has Shield Crush and keep destroying/returning his monsters until the last turn.
  • For monsters Syrus summons with Vehicroid Connection Zone, you will need to use Guardian Statue for non-destruction removal.
  • Summon Planet Pathfinder when you are safe so you can use its effect to thin your deck if you haven't drawn your field spells.
  • On the last turn, it's important to remember to activate Temple of the Kings first before you tribute summon for Serket.
  • Activate Serket's effect to get Oz out and use double Wild Nature's Release to reach 10k damage.

why should this deck not work? Shield Crush is a spell Card and legendary fisherman can't be touched by spell Cards while "Umi" is on the field

Welp, you're right. For some reason I thought the spell immunity was something Legendary Fisherman II had. I teched in Spell Shield Type-8 in my Legendary Fisherman farming deck, but just now realized I don't need that then. My bad.

That being said, I'd still use a fusion monster that isn't Twin Thunder Dragon. Double Union Attack with Fisherman and Twin Thunder makes for exactly 10000 damage, but if Syrus pops his Inverse Universe trap before that, you miss out on the 9999 damage. I picked Master of Oz for my deck, but I'm sure there are a ton of other possibilities. With the extra duel assess it might not even matter even.

That's what I just experienced, with the above posted dark paladin deck there's no way of dealing with that...

Absolutely, GameA must make changes to that example deck for Paladin. The current example won't work even if you negate all 3 polys in the one turn with Paladin. Still won't help farm Cyrus with that one.

Needs Curse of Anubis and Windstorm of Etiqua in there plus anything that negates traps like Seven Tools of the Bandit.

Paladin is not very good for this...inverse -> drilloid -> you lose. I am finding the same deck I used for crowler works better, but it has fail potential too...though not as bad as paladin it seems. I used the deck with medusa worm...its on youtube for Crowler lv 40.

The problem is that you don't supplant your deck with trap counters, or effect counters. Best examples are 2x chalice/ Tool of the Bandit/ Divine Wraths, and so on. You can afford to have any of these 4 tech cards at most, only if you have consistency from 3x King of Swamp and Draw Sense: Water.

Not sure what you mean. Bandit and wrath would not stop a passive effect...and I think drilloid is passive. Anyway I forgot to add in the revealing light medusa deck, that a big fusion monster is need for summoner of illusions on the last turn like Ultimate blue eyes. I have farmed lv 40 about 6 times with this deck, 5 with paladin. I lost 5 with paladin, and won 5 with medusa..

Forgot to add Ultimate blue eyes in the extra deck or some other big fusion. I also added a spell vanishing and removed a mallet. I try to save the spell vanishing for shied crush, but even without, I have been able to recover each time but one but it was my mistake. The goal with this deck is to have array of revealing light out with machines selected so they can not attack their first turn,

then have medusa worm keep flipping and destroying whatever monster he brings out. Use acid rain if he has more than one monster face up. The mosquito is to help until you get medusa and revealing light going. On the turn before last, set summoner of illusions, then on the last turn, destroy whatever monster he has out if any and then flip summoner and bring out your fusion, then vassal

Just your luck. I used Jaden due to the mission requiring us to use him against Syrus, and my first two Syrus encounter are Level 20 and Level 30.

You need to level up your stage, max gx now is 30, i always face him at lv 30 or 40

Don't put fusion gate in your paladino deck! Syrus will use it to summon his boss monster, that big drill with 3000 atk
