Updated Information

  • Aromage Synchro Decklist Budget Version Added

“Aromage” is an archetype that mostly consists of Plant-Type monsters with two different effects: a Continuous Effect that is active as long as their controller’s Life Points are higher than the opponent's and a Trigger Effect that activates when their controller gains Life Points.

Yet another “Aromage” monster has been added to the Card Trader, actually solving a few of the issues the archetype previously faced and keeping this deck a relatively good and viable option for new players that would like to save their gems.

Budget Version

Note: More Synchro Monsters can be added to the Extra Deck, but my intention here was to keep the Example Deck on a budget.

How to Use

Aromage Cananga

As long as your Life Points are higher than your opponent's, Aromage Cananga will lower the ATK and DEF of your opponent’s monsters by 500. While this effect may not seem that relevant at first, once you take into consideration the 500 ATK and DEF boost from Aroma Garden and the one provided by Aromaseraphy Rosemary, you can start to see how this deck can get to deal with high ATK monsters such as Blue-Eyes White Dragon without the need of Enemy Controller.

Once per turn, if you gain LP, Aromage Cananga allows you to target a Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls and return it to the hand. Aromage Cananga essentially gives this deck an alternative way of dealing with the back row. I would still advise running at least one copy of Rose Archer or Galaxy Cyclone since Cananga can only deal with a single Spell/Trap Card at a time and it doesn’t actually get rid of it permanently, unlike Cosmic Cyclone, but this is definitely still an improvement.

Aromage Jasmine & Aromage Garden

While your Life Points are higher than your opponent’s, Aromage Jasmine allows to Normal Summon a Plant-Type monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set and, once per turn, when you gain Life Points, it also lets you draw a card.

Aromage Jasmine synergizes perfectly with Aroma Garden as the Field Spell can, once per turn, make you gain 500 Life Points while also increasing the ATK and DEF of all of your monsters by 500 until the end of the opponent’s turn.

Aroma Garden’s effect can only be activated if you control an “Aromage” monster, but it’s such a great card in this deck because it enables the effects of three different monsters.

Aromage Rosemary

While your Life Points are higher than your opponent’s, Rosemary prevents your opponent from activating monster effects until the end of the Damage Step when a Plant-Type monster you control declares an attack. Rosemary can shut down Sphere Kuriboh, D.D. Assailant, Silent Magician, Silent Swordsman and even Gozuki.

When you gain Life Points, Rosemary switches the battle position of a face-up monster on the field. This effect is mandatory, so be careful when you activate The Spell Absorbing Life or Aroma Garden’s effect and the only suitable targets are your own monsters.

On the bright side, you can use Rosemary and the Spell Absorbing Life to prevent an opponent monster from attacking you by switching it into Defense Position.

Aromaseraphy Rosemary

Just like Aromage Jasmine and Aromage Rosemary, Aromaseraphy Rosemary has two different effects. While your Life Points are higher than your opponent’s, Rosemary will increase the ATK and DEF of all your Plant-Type monsters, including itself, by 500, which means that, after the boost from the Field Spell, this Level 5 Synchro will tie with Koa'ki Meiru Maximus and Blue-Eyes White Dragon.

Once per turn, if you gain Life Points, Rosemary will target a face-up card on the field and negate its effect until the end of the turn. Use The Spell Absorbing Life to take advantage of this effect during your opponent’s turn or use Aroma Garden to use it during your turn and maybe negate the effect of a card like Yubel - Terror Incarnate.

Armades, Keeper of Boundaries

When Armades, Keeper of Boundaries declares an attack, your opponent can’t activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step; cards like Wall of Disruption, Drowning Mirror Force and Sphere Kuriboh are essentially rendered useless by this Level 5 Synchro.

This Skill gives you direct access to Armades, Keeper of Boundaries and Aromaseraphy Rosemary by simply Normal Summoning Naturia Rosewhip.

  • The deck needs a bit of time to properly set up, which is definitely not great in the current meta, but, once it gets going, it’s very powerful and efficient.

  • Back row-heavy decks can be problematic to deal with and the fact they usually run cards like Lava Golem, Wall of Disruption and Drowning Mirror Force that can punish you for swarming the field definitely doesn’t help.

  • While Aromage Cananga and Aromaseraphy Rosemary can be used to either lower your opponent’s monsters’ ATK and DEF or increase the ATK and DEF of your monsters, dealing with cards like Blue-Eyes or Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon can still be difficult, especially early on.

Hot New Top
Always a kog worthy deck.
A possible tech is child’s play as with Rosemary as it negates whatever’s summoned, and one in a blue moon you may get the battle protection

i would not like a speed duel to last that long
Aromages about to be great again thanks to the new box.
I still prefer Spore over Junk Synchron, but I understand the reasoning
Would snyffus work with aromage rosemary to make aromaseraphy?

Yes, you can use Synffus.
i hate canadia on this deck ,

Don't we all hate canadia? And FG trap hole
Should i go with 1 draining shield and 1 spell absorbing life or 2 spell absorbing life? I run WoD ×2 and SRH, FTH, widespread ruin ×1
You can also trade out the junk synchron for Naturia Rosewhip if you'r broke like I am-
master of akiza

I personally would like to see a version that uses AFD and ASW.

What do you mean by AFD and ASW? Pretty vague...

Yeah, it's Ancient Fairy Dragon and Ancient Sacred Wyvern.

Bonus point if the deck is used with Luna as the character.
wth happened to rose lover + bergamot?

Thing is this deck FOCUSES on bringing out the Synchro. So stuff like Bergamot is taken out as it will unbalance the deck. It's not that Bergamot or Rose Lover are bad but this is more if you are going to main the Synchro.
(Bonus is that no Rose Lover gives too to use Hey Trunade!)

Bergamot is a brick that’s why.l

It's not a brick, in its own deck that is. In this deck, it's kinda useless.

Basically you have to choose between maining Bergamot or the Synchros.
Auto lose vs Yubel

If you think Yubel can win against Aromaseraphy Rosemary, then you still lack knowledge about the game and needs to learn more

The effect negation should work against yubel. I used it against jack's dark resonator and I was able to destroy it on the first attack.

I've literally been crushing yubel decks all night, I'm really happy when I run into a yubel deck instead of AG. AG is kind of iffy if I don't start with a nice hand, but yubel gives me plenty of time to set up

Really? "plenty of time to set up"? Pure Yubel gives you a plenty of set ups but Yubel-Nephthys gives you a knock out.
With the new pack, use Naturia Rosewhip, a plant level 3 tuner, it activates Dark Vergers effect, and is a plant, so you can use it with Rose Lover
