Last Gamble Simochi
-- | -- | -- | -- |
This deck works differently than the other versions since you don't need to destroy your opponent's back row or care about sphere kuriboh. Use the Skelengels and mimics to draw some cards and set a Simochi when you get it to your hand. Activate Simochi when you have the required cards to OTK, which is: Rain of Mercy, The Immortal of Thunder, Mystic Box, and Dark-Piercing Light. You only need 1 of each in your hand. Fiend megacyber is to special summon and attack the immortal of thunder after you use mystic box and you don't have dark-piercing light, but it's risky to do since your opponent can negate the attack.
Last Gamble Final Destiny
-- | -- | -- | -- |
Use Regretful Rebirth on Mimic lv1 or lv3 to get more draws. Set an Armageddon Designator if you get it in your hand. Once you have a lot of cards. You can activate last gamble and activate the armageddon to target your sphere kuriboh, then final destiny after using smoke grenade and special summon necrofear (or any special summonable monster) and Diskblade Rider. Don't activate armageddon if you end up low on cards for final destiny.
[Skill] description | User |
[Last Gamble] Can be used in your Main Phase, starting from the fifth turn. Upon activation, reduces your LP to 100 and discards 2 cards from your hand. You roll a die and draw that number of cards. This skill can only be used once per Duel | Joey |
Last Gamble OTK decks are made with the aim to One Turn Kill your opponents when you have the right combination of cards. You will need to stall for the first few turns by using cards that can help you with your draws. It's recommended to not activate the ability right away at turn 5, keep drawing more cards until you can't or when you are about to lose.
There are some important aspects to know if you want to make these kinds of deck.
Being able to draw a lot of cards is important in the deck to get your required cards. Cards like skelengel and mimic lv1 is good since it can be activated when it's flipped instead of destroyed by battle. Use regretful rebirth on mimic lv1 and on your next standby phase, special summon lv3 and normal summon another mimic or any other card to help with the draws. Cards that can search for other cards like Blue Dragon Summoner are also quite useful. Instead of getting more draws for other cards, search for the one you want/need by using it instead of cards like skelengel.
It's important that you clear your opponent's back row to prevent your attack from getting stopped. The safest and easiest to use is Storm, but there are other cards that you can use to deal with them like: Straight Flush, Xing Zhen Hu, or Stamping Destruction.
Since this card can stop your attack even if you clear the back row, it's recommended that you either see that your opponent doesn't have it in their hand or discard it from their hand/deck. Smoke Grenade of the Thief is used for this situation, but you can also use Armageddon Designator if you have one yourself.
Card | Explanation |
---|---|
Victory Viper XX03 | Can work in the gradius deck, along with its support spell Power Capsule. |
Jar of Greed | Can substitute for any card you are missing. |
Big Bang Shot | Equip this to your opponent's monster and use storm to banish their monster and be able to destroy a spell/trap. |
Appointer of the Red Lotus | If 1 turn is all you need, you can use this to remove Sphere Kuriboh. Use it before using Last Gamble skill. |
Divine Wrath | Can also stop Sphere Kuriboh for the price of 1 discard. |
If the field is clear and you have no threat of being stopped with a Sphere Kuriboh, then there are multiple combinations of cards to OTK your opponent, here are some examples:
