---|---|
Harpie's Hunting Ground Can only be used at the beginning of the Main Phase of your first turn. Return 1 card fronm your hand to your Deck and place 1 "Harpies' Hunting Ground" to your Field Zone from your Deck. If you control a Field Spell, place it in the Graveyard. | Mai Valentine |
Harpie's Last Will Can be used if you have 4 or more "Harpie" cards from your graveyard. Add 1 Harpie's Feather Duster to your hand from outside of your Deck. This Skill can only be used once per Duel. | Mai Valentine |
Harpie Oracle | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1300 / DEF 1400 |
Tag Duel Tournament [UR] | |
This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while on the field or in the GY. You can only use each of these effects of "Harpie Oracle" once per turn. ● If you control a Level 5 or higher "Harpie" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. ● If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 Spell/Trap from your GY to your hand, that specifically lists the card "Harpie Lady Sisters" in its text, during the End Phase of this turn. |
The "Level 5 or higher Harpie monster" mainly refers to Cyber Slash in this Deck, so Oracle can be Special Summoned when you have it on the field.
The search effect effectively lets you recover any of their support Spells. Most notably you can recover Elegant Egotist, preparing to make another Cyber Slash with Oracle as one of the materials. Harpie's Feather Rest is another good option since Oracle's Special Summoning condition lines up with the condition to maximize Rest.
Harpie Channeler | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1400 / DEF 1300 |
Sign of Harpies [SR] | |
You can discard 1 "Harpie" card; Special Summon 1 "Harpie" monster from your Deck in face-up Defense Position, except "Harpie Channeler". You can only use this effect of "Harpie Channeler" once per turn. While you control a Dragon-Type monster, this card's Level becomes 7. This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. |
Channeler is an Extra Deck play enabler. Generally, you use her effect to Special Summon another Level-4 Harpie from the Deck then use both monsters to either Synchro Summon into Cyber Slash, or go into your Rank-4 toolbox.
Harpie Harpist | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1700 / DEF 600 |
Sign of Harpies [SR] | |
This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while it is on the field or in the Graveyard. You can only use each of these effects of "Harpie Harpist" once per turn. ● When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 Winged Beast-Type monster you control (other than this card) and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; return them to the hand. ● During the End Phase, if this card is in the Graveyard because it was sent there this turn: You can add 1 Level 4 Winged Beast-Type monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand. |
Harpist is mostly used for her second effect. Specifically you Special Summon Harpist with Channeler's effect, then use both monsters to make Cyber Slash. Harpist's search effect will then activate during the End Phase.
The first effect can be used for on-demand removal in the right situation. This is assuming you have Harpist on hand and another Harpie on board, exactly when your opponent has a powerful monster you want to get rid of.
Harpie Perfumer | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1400 / DEF 1300 |
Sign of Harpies [SR] | |
This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while on the field or in the GY. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand that specifically lists the card "Harpie Lady Sisters" in its text. If you controlled a Level 5 or higher "Harpie" monster when you activated this effect, you can also add a second such card, with a different name from the first. You can only use this effect of "Harpie Perfumer" once per turn. |
Perfumer has two search targets: Harpies Feather Rest and Elegant Egotist.
Perfumer can be an Extra Deck enabler when comboed with Elegant Egotist. First summon Perfumer then fetch Elegant Egotists. Activate Elegant Egotist to Special Summon Harpie Lady 1 from the Deck. With both monsters you can proceed to make Cyber Slash. So generally if you don't have Cyber Slash on the field yet, fetch Elegant Egotist with Perfumer.
If Cyber Slash is present on the field, Perfumer allows you to search both its search targets. This is especially good because Harpies Feather Rest works best if Cyber Slash is on the field.
Harpie Lady 1 | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1300 / DEF 1400 |
Mai Valentine at level 35 [SR] Card Trader [SR] [SR] | |
(This card's name is always treated as "Harpie Lady".)All WIND monsters gain 300 ATK. |
Boost Up all the Wind Monsters with 300 ATK.
Cyber Harpie Lady | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 1300 |
Blades of Spirits [R] Sign of Harpies [R] | |
(This card's name is always treated as "Harpie Lady".) |
Cyber Harpie Lady is statwise the strongest Main Deck Harpie Lady. Basically she is the Harpie we run as a beater.
Hysteric Sign | Continuous Spell |
Sign of Harpies [R] | |
When this card is activated: Add 1 "Elegant Egotist" from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. During the End Phase of the turn this card was sent from the field or hand to the Graveyard: Add up to 3 "Harpie" cards with different names from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Hysteric Sign" effect per turn, and only once that turn. |
Activating Hysteric Sign to fetch Elegant Egotist can save you in a pinch, if you really need to make an Extra Deck play but don't have the enablers to do so. Such as when Harpist or Harpie Lady 1 is the only monster you have on hand.
Hysteric Sign also comes with a very powerful search effect. One way to trigger this is by destroying Hysteric Sign on your field with Harpie's Hunting Ground. Or you can discard it as cost for generic techs like Karma Cut.
Harpies Hunting Ground | Field Spell |
Blackstorm Rising [SR] | |
All Winged Beast-Type monsters gain 200 ATK and DEF. When any "Harpie Lady" or "Harpie Lady Sisters" are Normal or Special Summoned: The player who conducted the Summon targets 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target. |
The archetype's Field Spell lets you pop enemy backrow for free when you summon a Harpie Lady. But it has the odd trait of forcing the destruction effect, so if no other backrow is present you'll be forced to destroy one of yours, or even destroy this card. Because of this, you should be careful to summon your Harpie first before activating this Field Spell if you go first.
Harpies Feather Rest | Normal Spell |
Special Pack Vol. 02 [R] Duelist Chronicle: Battle City Showdown! [R] Tag Duel Tournament [R] | |
Target 3 “Harpie Lady” and/or “Harpie Lady Sisters” in your GY; shuffle them into the Deck, then draw 1 card. If you controlled a Level 5 or higher “Harpie” monster when you activated this effect, draw 2 cards instead. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters, except WIND monsters. You can only activate 1 "Harpie's Feather Rest" per turn. |
Harpies Feather Rest is your in-archetype draw engine; and if Cyber Slash is on board you effectively get a free card. Returning Harpie monsters to the Deck is good because you don't have any way of recycling the graveyard.
Elegant Egotist | Normal Spell |
Mai Valentine at Lvl 7 and 21 [R] Mai Valentine's starter deck [R] Ranked Rewards [R] | |
If "Harpie Lady" is on the field: Special Summon 1 "Harpie Lady" or "Harpie Lady Sisters" from your hand or Deck. |
Elegant Egotist in this Deck only used to Special Summon Harpie Lady 1. Do this if you need another body on board to use as Synchro or Xyz material, or even if you just want Harpie Lady 1's ATK boost.
Hysteric Party | Continuous Trap |
Blackstorm Rising [R] Selection Box Vol. 03 [R] Sign of Harpies [R] | |
Activate this card by discarding 1 card; Special Summon as many copies of "Harpie Lady" as possible from your Graveyard. When this face-up card leaves the field, destroy those monsters. |
Hysteric Party instantly swarms your field with monsters. Because most Harpie monsters are treated as Harpie Lady in the graveyard, you'll have a ton of revival targets. This Trap can revive multiple Harpie Ladies for you to use as Synchro material, or even directly revive Cyber Slash Harpie Lady.
You can very easily special summon 3 harpies on the field since the usual combo(s) to make Cyber Slash already uses 2 or 3 (if you use Channeler's effect).
Since the monsters aren't negated, you can make strong follow-ups by reviving Harpist, Channeler, or Perfumer.
This is also a pretty easy way to bring back Cyber Slash to the field without having to commit a lot of resources.
Mystical Space Typhoon | Quick Spell |
Antinomic Theory [UR] Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR] | |
Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target. |
Lets you deal with your opponent's backrow without having to commit any Harpies to the field, preventing commonly used disruptions like Floodgate Trap Hole, Book of Moon, or Treacherous Trap Hole. Recommended to bring some MST if you use Mind Scan skill.
Also stops continuous spells that other decks might need for their plays, like Dark Magical Circle, Dark Contract with the Gate, field spells, etc.
Book of Moon | Quick Spell |
Chaotic Soldiers [UR] Selection Box Vol.04 [UR] | |
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position. |
Always a strong card to have. Can disrupt your opponent and also lets you trigger Cyber Slash Harpie Lady's effect to return another monster your opponent controls.
Swallows Nest | Quick Spell |
Aerial Assault [SR] | |
Tribute 1 face-up Winged Beast-Type monster; Special Summon 1 Winged Beast-Type monster from your Deck with the same Level the Tributed monster had on the field. |
Swallow's Nest is a versatile card to mix into most Winged Beast Decks. Aside from the combo to summon Dark Simorgh mentioned in a previous section, Swallow's Nest also helps unbrick your hand or generally just help enable your Extra Deck combos. If Hapist or Harpie Lady 1 is the only monster you have on hand, you can summon it and then target it with Swallow's Nest to Special Summon Channeler.
Some more ways to use Swallow's Nest include:
Karma Cut | Normal Trap |
Arena of Sanctuary [SR] Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR] | |
Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish that target, then banish all cards with the same name as that monster from your opponent's Graveyard. |
A pretty good monster removal that also has an added benefit of removing multiple copies of them if they're also in the graveyard. Great against the mirror match, or other decks that uses same name monsters, but good in general too.
Cyber Slash Harpie Lady | WIND Winged Beast ★8 ATK 2600 / DEF 1400 |
Sign of Harpies [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters For this card's Synchro Summon, you can treat 1 "Harpie" monster you control as a Tuner. This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while on the field or in the GY. When a Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated (except during the Damage Step) (Quick Effect): You can target 1 monster your opponent controls or 1 "Harpie" monster you control; return it to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Cyber Slash Harpie Lady" once per turn. |
Cyber Slash has a unique Synchro Summoning condition that allows us to run no Tuners in this Deck. Additionally, since any Harpie Lady can act as the Tuner, summoning Cyber Slash is made much more consistent. Cyber Slash's stats are nothing special, but her effect lets you bounce one enemy monster if a Spell/Trap is activated. This can also be triggered when your Spell/Trap is activated; so best case you activate Harpie Feather Rest, draw two cards and bounce an enemy monster.
Number 106: Giant Hand | EARTH Rock ★4 ATK 2000 / DEF 2000 |
Arms of Giant [UR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters During either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's field (except during the Damage Step): You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; while this card is face-up on the field, that Effect Monster's effects are negated, also it cannot change its battle position. |
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon | DARK Dragon ★4 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Phantom of Rebellion [UR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK. |
General Rank 4 Xyz Monster for players to use so far. Its effect essentially lets you deal 2500 (its own ATK) damage if this attacks the monster you targeted. The advantage is that your opponent's monster's ATK is also lowered, allowing you to attack over it with your other weaker monsters.
Number 70: Malevolent Sin | DARK Insect ★4 ATK 2400 / DEF 1200 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3. |
Malevolent Sin is an anti-Xyz tech. Summon Malevolent Sin and use its effect to temporarily banish an enemy Xyz monster. The Xyz monster will return with no materials attached to it.
Steelswarm Roach | DARK Fiend ★4 ATK 1900 / DEF 0 |
Photons of Galaxy [SR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it. |
Roach is great for monster suppresion, much like a Trap Hole card. When your opponent summons a boss monster, use Roach's effect to immediately destroy it. This is an especially good counter against Synchro Decks. But most of the time, just Roach's presence on the field is enough to deter the opponent from making big monsters.
Fire Fighting Daruma Doll | FIRE Beast-Warrior ATK 1500 / DEF 2 |
Arms of Giant [SR] | |
2 Beast, Beast-Warrior, and/or Winged Beast monsters This card gains 100 ATK for each Beast, Beast-Warrior, and Winged Beast monster on the field. Once per turn: You can target 1 Spell/Trap on each field; destroy them. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can target 1 of your Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast monsters, that is banished or is in your GY; add it to your hand. |
Harpie Conductor | WIND Winged Beast ATK 1900 / DEF 2 |
Arms of Giant [SR] | |
2 WIND monsters This card's name becomes "Harpie Lady" while on the field or in the GY. You can only use each of the following effects of "Harpie Conductor" once per turn. ● If a "Harpie" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy 1 Spell/Trap you control instead. ● If another face-up "Harpie" monster you control returns to your hand (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls; return it to the hand. |
Neos Fusion Engine is to allow you to setup Graveyard by sending Fusion Materials from your Deck with Neos. In this Deck example, you can send "Harpie Harpist" with Neos to bring out "Brave Neos" on your field. During the end phase, you can activate Harpist's effect to search out another copy of Harpies monster from your Deck.
Brave Neos lets you search your second copy of Neos Fusion after destroying an opponent's monster by battle. After searching all your copies of Neos Fusion, Brave Neos just becomes a big beater. With Neos Fusion, you can protect Brave Neos from battle or card effect destruction.
Elemental HERO Brave Neos | LIGHT Warrior ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Neos Fusion [UR] | |
"Elemental HERO Neos" + 1 Level 4 or lower Effect Monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Gains 100 ATK for each “Neo-Spacian” and “HERO” monster in your GY. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand that specifically lists the card “Elemental HERO Neos” in its text. |
Elemental HERO Neos | LIGHT Warrior ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 2000 |
Jaden Yuki [UR] Special Pack Vol. 02 [UR] KC Grand Tournament Celebration Campaign [UR Glossy] | |
A new Elemental HERO has arrived from Neo-Space! When he initiates a Contact Fusion with a Neo-Spacian, his unknown powers are unleashed. |
Neos Fusion | Normal Spell |
Neos Fusion [SR] | |
Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that lists exactly 2 monsters as material, including “Elemental HERO Neos”, by sending those monsters from your hand, Deck, or field, ignoring its Summoning conditions. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters. If a Fusion Monster(s) you control that lists “Elemental HERO Neos” as material would be destroyed by battle or card effect, or shuffled into the Extra Deck by its own effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. |
Simorgh of Darkness | DARK Winged Beast ★8 ATK 2900 / DEF 2000 |
Infernity Destruction [UR] | |
While face-up on the field, this card is also WIND-Attribute. You can only use each of the following effects of "Simorgh of Darkness" once per turn. ● If you Tribute Summon a DARK or WIND monster: You can Special Summon this card from the GY (if it was there when the monster was Tribute Summoned) or hand (even if not). ● When a Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can Tribute 1 WIND Winged Beast monster; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. |
Harpie Lady 1 is the simplest of all Harpie monsters, because she just gives a slight ATK boost to all WIND monsters. But, it is also because of this simplicity that she is the Main Deck Harpie most worth keeping on the field. Additionally Harpie Lady 1 is the only monster in this Deck you can Special Summon with Elegant Egotist.
Glife the Phantom Bird | WIND Winged Beast ★4 ATK 1500 / DEF 1500 |
Dimension of the Wizards [SR] | |
You can discard this card; add 1 "Golden Castle of Stromberg" from your Deck to your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 card in your opponent's Spell & Trap Zone; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Glife the Phantom Bird" once per turn. |
Glife isn't part of this archetype but its effect works well with this Deck's playstyle. Being a WIND Winged-Beast means Glife will also benefit from most of the same support. The often comes to play when you Special Summon Glife from the Deck with Swallow's Nest for quick backrow removal.
Forbidden Lance | Quick Spell |
Valhalla Calling [UR] Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [UR] | |
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target loses 800 ATK, but is unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards. |
An alternative to Swallows Nest if you want to bring another semi-limited card like Treacherous Trap Hole. This helps you survive so you can pull off the combos instead of getting Floodgate Trap Hole'd on summon.
Raigeki Break | Normal Trap |
Soul of Resurrection [UR] | |
Discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. |
Similar to Ballista Squad, except this uses cards in your hand, which works better if you get good card advantages through something like Feather Rest or Hysteric Sign.
Ballista Squad | Normal Trap |
Fortress of Gears [UR] Selection Box Vol.04 [UR] | |
Tribute 1 monster, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. |
You can get some monster advantage since the deck has good swarming potential, especially if you also play Hysteric Party. Ballista Squad can make use of an extra monster for a card removal, or to clear up your monster zone if you want to make a different play.
Maestroke the Symphony Djinn | DARK Fiend ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 2300 |
Shark Fang [UR] | |
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up Attack Position monster your opponent controls; change it to face-down Defense Position. If a "Djinn" Xyz Monster you control would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from that monster instead. |
