Useful searcher for main deck HERO monsters in general, but Stratos won't be summonable with Dreadmaster's effect. ​

Turn 1 Stratos to search a Stratos and setting a Mask Change + MST is a pretty good turn 1. The Mask Change helps dodge targeted cards as well as returning a spell/trap back to hand via Blast's effect, and the MST can be used to destroy another spell/trap. On the next turn, you can normal summon the searched Stratos to destroy the Clock Tower and any other remaining spell/trap your opponent might have.

During each of your opponent's Standby Phases: Place 1 Clock Counter on this card. While there are 4 or more Clock Counters on this card, you do not take any Battle Damage. When this card with 4 or more Clock Counters is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Destiny Hero - Dreadmaster" from your hand or Deck.

You can reliably get this to your hand by using the skill, which is very easy to activate since you can use any of the Destiny Hero monsters.

Which hero you send to the grave doesn't really matter that much since they will be special summoned back with Dreadmaster, but they do have effects that you can keep in mind.

  • Drilldark's effect will activate when special summoned, so it has slightly more use compared to the other ones.
  • Celestial can give draw +2 but it banishes itself and another HERO, giving you fewer targets to special summon back with Dreadmaster.
  • Decider can negate effect damage and returns back to hand. Only works once per duel.

Once you activate the Clock Tower, activate the skill again to put 3 counters on it right away and add Mystical Space Typhoon to your hand. After you end your turn, the Clock Tower will get another counter during the standby phase of your opponent.

With 4 counters on the Clock Tower, you are protected from battle damage. The important thing to remember is that the Clock Tower returns back to the deck at the end of your next turn. Once that happens, you are unlikely to be able to get 4 counters on it easily, so it's recommended to destroy it during your next turn.

Keep in mind how many Mystical Space Typhoon you put in the deck. You'll need at least 1 to destroy the Clock Tower, so you shouldn't use them all on your opponent's backrow. You might also need to at least set 1 on the field to chain it in case your opponent uses Cosmic Cyclone on the Clock Tower.

If this card is Special Summoned by "Clock Tower Prison": Destroy all monsters you control, except face-up "Destiny HERO" monsters, then you can Special Summon up to 2 "Destiny HERO" monsters from your Graveyard. During any turn this card is Special Summoned, "Destiny HERO" monsters you control cannot be destroyed, and you take no Battle Damage when they battle. The ATK and DEF of this card are equal to the combined original ATK of all other "Destiny HERO" monsters you control.

Ideally, you want to summon this when you are able to special summon 2 Destiny HERO monsters, either both from the grave, or with Drilldark and another one from your hand. Mask Change will also help dodge targeted abilities and deal damage in general.

With 2 other Destiny HERO monsters, Dreadmaster's ATK will be 3200. If you XYZ or use Mask Change, Dreadmaster's ATK will decrease since they are no longer Destiny HERO monsters.

The turn you summon Dreadmaster, all Destiny HERO monsters you control are indestructible, and you take no battle damage. You can attack your opponent carelessly to check for any backrow before you do a follow up with something like Mask Change, or even use Treacherous if your opponent only has 1 monster.

Situationally useful to block attacks if your opponent only has high-level monsters, but it's mainly to be used for its once per duel recovery effect.

The effect of blocking an effect damage is even more situational. The deck doesn't have a way to manually trigger it, so it's just a nice bonus when it works.

Helps with a draw +2 effect, but not recommended to use early since you'll need the monsters for Dreadmaster.

The face-up spell card destruction is pretty nice against opponents that use them or field spells, and you can trigger them without risk when you attack the turn you summon Dreadmaster.

Adoration can be made with Increase and Vyon if you don't have any other HEROes on hand. His free debuff effect is good for getting rid of high stat monsters and pushing damage, especially if you control another Extra Deck monster. However you do need to control another HERO monster to use this effect. And aside from being a high stat monster, Adoration is not really a good turn one play without Form Change.

Koga in this deck. Koga's ATK boost easily puts him at 3000+ ATK enough to deal with most monsters. And the stat debuff can let you deal huge damage through an opponent's monster.

High ATK and the effect helps with more follow-up. Being able to attack directly also makes this a great counter against stall decks.

The only WIND Masked HERO monster that you can go into with Stratos. Its effect helps you get over a lot of monsters and has an additional effect that can bounce your opponent's spell/trap that's usable during your opponent's turn.

The way Mask Change works is you send one HERO monster from your field to the graveyard, and then summon a Masked Hero monster from your extra deck that has the same attribute as the HERO monster that you sent. Because Destiny HERO and Vision HERO monsters are DARK attributes, they are all possible targets for Mask Change to summon Masked Hero Anki.

Well it is not that broken, but with 4000 LP this card cast provide some surprise element which is hurt. The same reason why they relase Dangerous but no Dystopia

No, if you know anything about Yugioh, this card is garbage. It'll rarely progress your own plays outside of being used as poly material, and it'll give your opponent free resources. It might see some lower level experimentation but it's nowhere even remotely close to being OP.

Fear Monger's much better than either of them (especially in a Polymerization build). Dasher's Summon effect does nothing for the deck, and Destiny HEROes don't usually run many Normal Spells, so both are pretty useless. If you want a Destiny HERO out of the norm, go for Fear Monger or Blademaster. There aren't really any other options that make sense.

With the sale, I only spent $1 for each deck (I bought 2 and used gems for the first one a long time ago). So it wasn't expensive in terms of real money. But I still wish that they would stop the nerfs already. Forget Anki, I just like Aster's cards.

i agree! Judai's theme deck never get improvement since GX world open.

The irony is that when GX first got released in Duel Links, Aster/Edo was the one who was stuck with basically nothing for his deck theme, and it was basically just Plasma decks. Judai/Jaden actually had more to start with in the beginning. But now it is more the other way around, but I think that they are starting to get better with the E-Heroes now. For more irony, my Aster uses E-Hero Woodsman.

Surprised to see the lack of love for Plasma, much easier to summon/protect with the structure deck, plus the blanket effect monster negation absolutely kneecaps a lot of popular decks.

I admit that my love for Big Red (Trinity), Dangerous, and Slashy (Red-Eyes) has been winning out these days, and I don't combine fusions with Plasma. But I plan to make a second D-Hero deck with Plasma, some different 4-stars, and possibly Witch Raider with Powerful Rebirth. If Aster is really getting D-Shield, that would rock. D-Hero decks and Aster are my fangirl love, and I'll keep using them!

Plasma is one of my favorite cards, it's just so damn hard to summon and so easy to counter (Floodgate, SRH, etc). But as soon as I finish building this deck I'll throw in a copy of Plasma. Very cool card.

Yeah, Plasma is more better in original game which has 5 monsters and 5 spell/traps slot. In DL is quite risky since if u already had normal summon 1 monster to tribute for Plasma then ur Plasma has no protection or monster support since his DEF is weak

One of my very first deck is plasma turbo with reinfocement as the skill.

I use cosmic compass for the tribute fodder since it can summon 2 tokens if your opponent control at least 2 monsters. The deck is pretty good and can get me to plat in the early days (back when the meta is still backrow reliance)

Just lost to a guy on platinum with 3 celestial and 2 dangerous... Stuck on platinum 1 cause of hackers...

Yeah, I thought you could only get one box set myself but you can only get one through gems. You can however buy as many as you want with real money.

I'm curious as to how these decks have a third Celestial when the deck set only came with two. Does anyone know how the get that elusive third copy and where it comes from?

By getting another copy of the structure deck, although the second time you need to spend actual money for it.
