in the 2nd stage anki's effect to search for a new mask change after destroying a monster is not working!!

If your Anki attacks Canadia or Vampire Familiar/Retainer that is summoned by its own effect, your Anki won't search for another Mask Change

Is the monster also sent to the grave? Because that is part of the cost. As ano above mentions, when you destroy a monster that doesn't go to the grave (like Paleo's), the effect will not trigger. Also, if the monster is destroyed by card effect instead of battle (e.g. Super Rush Headlong), it also will not trigger.
