Gains ATK/DEF equal to the number of different Attributes in the GYs x 500. When your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s) (Quick Effect): You can banish 3 monsters from your GY; negate the Summon, and if you do, destroy that monster(s).

Yes, the summoning condition and the atk/def boost work with both graveyards

The special summon negation effect only involves yours

I just played this card earlier and im really disappointed because it did not work on mask change. It should work because mask change is a special summon. They should fix this.

It's not a bug, that's the game's ruling. When a monster would be summoned with Mask Change's effect, Mask Change is still in the middle of resolving, and you cannot interrupt a card in the middle of resolving.

Due to that, you also cannot activate this card's effect against Fusion Summons that uses Polymerization or any other fusion summoning spell/trap.

You see, in that situation, Mask Change or Polymerization would be in Chain Link 1.

If the Special Summon does not start a chain, then you can activate this card's effect, putting this card at Chain Link 1.

If the Special Summon starts a chain (such as due to the effect of a card), you cannot activate this card's effect. Effects that negate summons cannot be activated as Chain Link 2 or higher, as that would means they are interrupting a Chain in the middle of resolving.

Grace Doriado only negates special summon.

When Mask change is activated, it is still consider as spell activation. If the effect resolves, then a special summon will be conducted.

Synchro, contact fusion & monster like Vice Dragon that SS itself also can be negated by this card.

For future; Xyz, Pendulum & Link summon also can be negated by this card.

That's the inherent risk of any decks that uses Grass, anyway.

You're bound to accidentally mill the important card at one point.

Same with Pot of Desires, there will be a time where out of the 10 cards you banished, most of them are the cards you need, while the 2 cards you draw are bad.

Most of the time the risk is worth it, though. Hence why Grass and Desires are often seen in TCG/OCG.
