Axe Dragonute's effect could be bad for him because his defense is much weaker than his attack stats. You can negate his effect with Forbidden Chalice so that he does not switch to defense position after battle. He also gains a 400 attack boost because of Forbidden Chalice.
Use Gamushara when your opponent tries to attack your defense position Axe Dragonute. This would change Axe Dragonute to attack position and deal extra damage to your opponent if his monster was destroyed as a result of the battle.
When your opponent attacks your defense position Axe Dragonute, activate Spikeshield with Chain to turn Axe Dragonute into a 3700 defense monster, dealing damage to your opponent and allowing him to survive the attack.
Axe Dragonute is a 2000 attack monster that you can summon without tribute so he would be a good monster to use as tribute for Great Maju Garzett, tribute summoning into a 4000 attack monster with minimal cost.
