“Vylon” is an archetype of LIGHT Attribute monsters whose effects revolve around the use of Equip Cards. This deck focuses on Summoning Vylon Sigma, a Level 7 Synchro that we can now Summon without the use of Photon Lead or Powerful Rebirth thanks to Trident Warrior.
When Normal Summoned, Trident Warrior allows you to Special Summon a Level 3 monster from your hand. Use Trident Warrior to Special Summon Vylon Cube and then send them both to the Graveyard to Special Summon Vylon Sigma or Ancient Fairy Dragon from your Extra Deck.
Since both Vylon Sigma and Ancient Fairy Dragon are LIGHT Attribute monsters, Vylon Cube’s effect will activate, allowing you to add an Equip Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. Add Mage Power to your hand and equip it to your Vylon Sigma and attack your opponent.
When Vylon Sigma declares an attack, if it’s the only monster you control, it allows you to equip an Equip Spell Card to it directly from your Deck. If you use Vylon Sigma’s effect to equip Twin Swords of Flashing Light - Tryce, you will not have to pay its activation cost and, since there is no restriction on how many times you can use the effect of this Level 7 Synchro, you will be able to declare a second attack and equip another Equip Spell Card from your Deck to it.
Once per Chain, when a Trap Card is activated while Paleozoic Canadia is in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon it as a Level 2 Normal Monster. Canadia, in combination with Vylon Cube, gives you access to Armades, Keeper of Boundaries.
Since Armades is a LIGHT Attribute monster, just like Vylon Sigma, Vylon Cube will allow you to add an Equip Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
Armades usually has trouble dealing with any monster that is above 2300 ATK, but, with the help of Mage Power, you can easily solve this problem. Keep in mind that your Set Spell & Trap Cards will also increase the ATK boost that Armades receives, so you only need another one on the field to get over Vampire Grace (under Vampire Kingdom), Masked HERO Anki and even Cosmo Brain.
Canadia can not only be used to disrupt your opponent’s plays but also offensively: by flipping monsters such as Masked HERO Anki and Vampire Grace face-down, you are allowing Vylon Sigma and Armades, Keeper of Boundaries to get over them. Paleozoic Canadia works particularly well in combination with Armades because your opponent is able to activate cards or effects when it declares an attack.
Radiating LIGHT Can be used after your Life Points are at 2000 or below. Play the Field Spell "Luminous Spark." If there already is Field Spell on your side of the Field, return it to your hand. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
Another Skill that you can run Cosmic Cyclone with. Having a Field Spell will further increase the ATK of your monsters, making it easier to OTK your opponent and Mage Power will also give you an additional 500 ATK.
The deck relies a lot on Trident Warrior, which you are not always going to have in your starting hand. Junk Synchron and What Grows in the Graveyard can give you an alternative Boss Monster to Summon consistently when Vylon Sigma is not available.
Spellbook of Fate and Treacherous Trap Hole can be used to either prevent you from Synchro Summoning or to get rid of Vylon Sigma/Armades. In a similar way Paleozoic Canadia and Floodgate Trap Hole are very effective against this deck. Backrow removal is pretty important, so you might want to run more than just the two copies of Hey, Trunade! displayed in the Example Deck.
Vampire Vamp can deal with Armades and Vylon Sigma, assuming you already equipped it with Mage Power.
Yubel Fire King is probably the deck against which you are going to struggle the most.
I've never gotten why people want to add more cards of an archetype just for the sake of it. If it makes you sleep better at night, you could probably add a Vylon Filament or something without hurting the deck a whole lot, but really... This is clearly a Vylon deck. The star of the show and only real win condition is Sigma.
That's basically the meta right now: "Screw Archetypes, just take these card that are good, substitute any other cards from some random archetype into the deck, and call it a deck of whatever archetype those sub cards are part of"
If it makes the deck better, do it. There is zero reason to run a bad card like Vylon Charger when you could use a much better card like Trident Warrior. It actively makes the deck much worse for no benefit.
What about labyrinthine builder as it allows for a easy lv 8 syncron
(This isn’t my idea it’s just something I see on a lot of vylon decks)
a real vylon deck? well, i got one
MAIN DECK MONSTERS
-3 vylon cubes (you can switch one cube for one stella)
-1 the tricky (for a good epsilon summon)
-1 prime material dragon (can be useful for alpha)
-2 trident warriors (should i say why? XD)
-1 genex neutron (a cube searcher)
-2 vylon soldier (a useful anti-4* monsters due his position-change effect)
-2 vylon segment (a trap/monster effect barrier, re-searchable for epsilon destruction effect)
-2 vylon filament (attack protection/ "untouchable" combo with segment)
-2 mage power (searchable, atk bonus combo with other equips/ 2 copies optional, but i do not recommend equip the 2 at the time unless you're sure that the enemy has no dangerous traps or spells, or if youre going to deal the fatal blow)
1-vylon material (atk boost for soldier if required or any synchro, also useful for epsilon destruction/ re-searchable effect/ can be 2 but should be replaced for de-synchro)
1- de-synchro (optional)
1-half counter (defensive options for a secure summon)
1-floodgate trap hole (anti-summon to ensure a secure summon)
(one extra copy of any of them allowed)
there should be 3x tricky and 3x ninja earth, and then 2 sets of the lv 3 tuners, 5-6x vylon equips and the one spell that returns 3 equip from the grave to the deck that allows either a draw or destroy card, better deck idea and that was just off the top of my head
