Cosmic Enlightenment Can be used each time your Life Points decrease by 1000. In the Draw Phase, instead of conducting your normal draw, draw a random Psychic-Type or "Jinzo" monster. | Espa Roba |
Silent Swordsman | LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 1000 / DEF 1000 |
Swordbound Silence [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Warrior-Type monster, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: This card gains 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can negate the activation. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Silent Swordsman", ignoring its Summoning conditions. |
The inherent ATK gain is pretty slow but it helps. You will want to use Silent Sword Slash, to quickly make Silent Swordsman a more formidable beater on the field.
The Spell card negation will mostly be used to negate Invocation, Neos Fusion, Mask Change, and other fusion spells so your opponent can't get their boss monsters out. It can also negate Enemy Controller, Dark Magical Circle and other Spells that disrupt your board.
Watch out for Samurai Destroyer, Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, and other cards that can negate Silent Swordsman's floating effect.
Silent Swordsman LV7 | LIGHT Warrior ★7 ATK 2800 / DEF 1000 |
Crusaders Battleground [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Silent Swordsman LV5", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Negate all Spell effects on the field. |
The non-LV Silent Swordsman can float into Silent Swordsman LV7 when it is destroyed. This is useful in cases where you don't have Silent Sword Slash, so you can crash Silent Swordsman into an opponent's monster to get a powerful beater onboard. Silent Swordsman LV7 has a more oppressive version of Silent Swordman's effect, entirely negating all Spell cards put on the field. This is why we use minimal Spells in this deck, excluding Silent Sword Slash which is immune to negation.
Destiny HERO - Doom Lord | DARK Warrior ★3 ATK 600 / DEF 800 |
Aster Phoenix Lvl 7 [R] Aster Phoenix [R]
Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish that target. You cannot declare an attack the turn you activate this effect. You must control this face-up Attack Position card to activate and to resolve this effect. The banished monster returns to the opponent's side of the field, in the same battle position, during your 2nd Standby Phase after activation. |
D - Mind | Normal Spell |
Professional Aster Roaming Event [UR]
Activate only if you control no "Destiny HERO" monsters. Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Destiny HERO" monster from your Deck. |
D-Mind Special Summoning Doom Lord will be your main tribute engine. D-Mind can be activated anytime as long as you don't control a Destiny HERO. You can then use Doom Lord as tribute for Special Summoning Silent swordsman or Tribute Summoning Jinzo.
When trying to stall util you get Silent Swordsman, Doom Lord's effect can be used to temporarily get rid of problem monsters like Masked HERO Koga, Archfiend Zombie-Skull, and high-level WATER monsters in an SSA deck. The next turn after you banish an opponent's monster with Doom Lord, the banished monster still won't be back and you'll already be able to attack. Take advantage of this opening by getting rid of an indestructible monster like Shiranui Sunsaga and OTK your opponent the next turn.
Silent Sword Slash | Quick Spell |
Crusaders Battleground [R] Swordbound Silence [R]
Target 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster you control; that target gains 1500 ATK and DEF, and if it does, it is unaffected by your opponent's card effects until the end of this turn. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your Deck to your hand. |
This is the “Silent Swordsman” version of Silent Burning, it’s much easier to activate compared to its counterpart and has an arguably better effect. This Quick-Play Spell permanently increases the ATK and DEF of a “Silent Swordsman” monster you control by 1500, and the best part is it makes that monster immune to all your opponent's effects until the end of the turn. Sphere Kuriboh, Drowning Mirror Force and other battle traps won’t be able to stop your monster, and you can even activate this card in response to them for protection. The immunity to negation is there so that Silent Swordsman LV7 does not shutdown his own support, but also prevents your opponent from negating this card.
Lastly, you can banish this card from the graveyard to search Silent Swordsman. You can send Silent Sword Slash to the graveyard as cost for something like Karma Cut, then banish it to get your base Silent Swordsman.
Jinzo | DARK Machine ★6 ATK 2400 / DEF 1500 |
Espa Roba [UR] Espa Roba Unlock Event [UR]
Trap Cards, and their effects on the field, cannot be activated. Negate all Trap Card effects on the field. |
Silent Swordsman LV7, and to an extent Silent Swordsman, locks your opponent out of using their Spell cards. Add Jinzo to your field and your opponent will also not be able to use Traps, locking out all backrow.
You can search Jinzo with your skill after receiving 1000 or more damage. And summoning Jinzo is fairly easy with D-Mind giving you free tribute fodder. D-Mind can Special Summon Doom Lord from your deck for free then use him to Tribute Summon Jinzo.
Sphere Kuriboh | DARK Fiend ★1 ATK 300 / DEF 200 |
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon. |
Keep Sphere Kuriboh on hand to disrupt your opponent's attacks. For this deck Sphere Kuriboh is more effective than using any backrow, because Silent Swordsman LV7 and Jinzo locks out your Spells and Traps.
Karma Cut | Normal Trap |
Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish that target, then banish all cards with the same name as that monster from your opponent's Graveyard. |
Karma Cut is a good removal card while also providing some graveyard disruption. Discounting Shiranui, not many decks can interact with their banish zone so a boss monster banished by Karma Cut would be devastating to the opponent. The discard cost can be used to put Silent Sword Slash in your graveyard and use it to search Silent Swordsman.
Banishing a monster prevents them from using effects that trigger "when destroyed" or "when sent to the graveyard" stopping effects like Pyramid Turtle and the Gouki archetypal effect. This also prevents monsters with graveyard effects from actually getting into the graveyard, like Dakki, the Graceful Mayakashi and Aleister the Invoker (if he was Normal Summoned to search Invocation).
