This pack is the first time Duel Links has introduced support to the very unique "Lvl" archtype. Along with this we also get Silent Magician Lvl8 one of the most powerful monster in Yugi's deck during the original series. This pack also provides excellent draw and search cards probably to support the new Exodia skill.

Who should buy this pack

Buy this pack if you want to make a deck around Lvl monsters. This pack also provides support to spell counter decks and WATER decks. In terms of versatility this pack does have has some cards that can be splashed on to any deck, Unified Front can act as sort of an attack boost and/or defense card similar to Rising Energy, Emergency Provisions provides quick heals and can be chained with your spell/trap cards. Draw and search power is also very prominent in this pack, which might be useful in farming decks and Exodia decks.

During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. If this card attacks, it is changed to Defense Position at the end of the Damage Step.

★8/LIGHT/Spellcaster/
ATK 3500/DEF 1000
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Silent Magician LV4" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card is unaffected by your opponent's Spell effects.

★3/WATER/Warrior/
ATK 650/DEF 900
FLIP: Target 2 Set Spell/Trap Cards on the field; destroy those targets.

[SR] Emergency Provisions

Quick-Play Spell Card
Send any number of other Spell and Trap Cards you control to the Graveyard. Gain 1000 Life Points for each card sent.

[SR] Limit Reverse

Continuous Trap Card
Target 1 monster with 1000 or less ATK in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in Attack Position. If the target is changed to Defense Position, destroy it and this card. When this card leaves the field, destroy the target. When the target is destroyed, destroy this card.

  • Since you cannot attack directly when you use Unified Front, using a monster with pierce effect is recommended.
  • Use Unified Front on Submarine Frog and discard a powerful monster. (e.g. Spiral Serpent)
  • Attack any monster your opponent controls to inflict a large amount of damage.

Silent Magician & Ultimate Insect over Armed & Horus when LV support is released? This has to tie into Yugi Moto's release somehow, and Silent Swordsman are likely in his Rewards (as half broken as they are & if Konami gave a damn).

What is (Zombie) Red-Eyes doing to Silent Magician LV8. INB4 somebody says Champion's Vigilance. Level Modulation can bring it back. But what if it hits the field before you have it up?

Undead-Eyes doest'n run Vigilance, only normal REBD. Anyway, their only outs will be Mirror Wall or some tech like Windstorm, Anubis, Ebola, etc. Best method though, is to prevent its summoning in the 1st place since sending it to graveyard is hard due to no tutor

Well there is no Metamorphosis, Graceful Charity etc.


Right now, in this game - especially with his nerfs - he is not that useful. So i can understand that he's a rare. However, if i look at some other cards beeing SR...

I get the game gets stale and needs new cards. I get Konami needs money and there are not forcing anyone to buy packs. However, I do feel with these box sets it's all about quantity over quality. Just dump cards already existing. There isn't even some sort of hype, only a message, a video and that's it. Land of the Titans for example was released 3 months ago and not a single card from that set is relevant anymore.

To be fair, the only cards ever relevant from Land of the Titans from the start were Security Orb, and to a lesser extent Gearfried just because it was a beater. Even Security Orb was just a cheap alternative to get a Kuriboh-like effect and never saw much play at higher levels. I think Naturia Pineapple is the only card that sees any play from that set

...but I do agree and have said before that these Pack Sets aren't that well thought out thoroughly.

Ok so I'm a P2P player and even to me this box doesnt seem really worth spending on, at least when it comes to UR/SR.

I might just clear the box once to get a playset of R/N cards but tbh if I wanna run a Silent magician I just need 1 of the UR (and the Dragon UR is pretty trash).

The only thing I'm 🔥 about is Spell Power grasp being a SR, cause you need 3 to run them properly in a deck and it would be a really good card to run in spell counter decks.

Save until the next pack because that's when the money grab is, they will include OP cards that will defy the meta. Trust me. We have 2 not so great boxes (EO and this new one) so im willing to bet you next one will be OP.

Eeh, but Ice Barrier is expensive being having its component in a main box(2 SR in it) that barely contains anything good in it. It also inconsistent, requires drop from roaming LD and being an archetype will quickly powercreeped. You better of spending it on Dawn of Destiny pack to get 2 top tier deck: Pheonix and Naturia, while also get some generic good cards such as SRH, TttD, and Heavy Knight

And here I am still strunggling to get my second copy of Magical Exemplar. The good news is the only thing I want from this box is Umiiruka and Rising Air Current.
