With Rising Air Current's attack boost coupled with Ultimate Insect LV7 stat decreasing effect, your opponent will have a hard time to surpass your monster's attack.

You can special summon Ultimate Insect LV7 from your hand when Pinch Hopper from the field is sent to the graveyard but its stats reducing effect would not activate.

Not really a "hard" counter, you still need monster with attack over 1900 to 🔥 him in def mode.
