Cyber Angel: deck recipe [July 6]

Duel Links Cyber Angel deck, how to use Cyber Angel, Cyber Angel in the Duel Links meta.
update 06/07/2022

Overview

Cyber Angel deck is a very strong f2p deck since most of the cards can be obtained without spending gems unless you want to add the XYZ monsters. It's a ritual deck with a strong boss monster, reliable search effects, and the ability to recycle resources.

The recent release of Dakini from the limited/forbidden list and more XYZ cards added since Cyber Angel's release make Cyber Angel decks a strong contender in the current meta.

How to Use

Cyber Angel Ritual Monsters

Cyber Angel Vrash
Cyber Angel Vrash
LIGHT Fairy ★10
ATK 3000 / DEF 2000
Shining Sunrise [UR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card is Ritual Summoned: You can destroy as many face-up monsters your opponent controls as possible that were Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, and if you do, inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each, and if you do that, this card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card on the field: You can shuffle 1 Ritual Monster from your Graveyard into the Deck; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

Cyber Angel Boss Monster, mainly used to get rid of your opponent's Extra Deck monsters and dealing min 500 Damage. With Idaten ATK Boost effect will make Vrash becomes 4000 ATK stat which can get rid monsters easily or even OTK your opponent.

Cyber Angel Izana
Cyber Angel Izana
LIGHT Fairy ★8
ATK 2500 / DEF 2600
Alluring Alexis Roaming Event [UR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card is Ritual Summoned: You can make your opponent send 1 Spell/Trap they control to the GY. When this attacking card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the GY: You can activate this effect; this card can make a second attack on an opponent's monster in a row. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster(s) you control (Quick Effect): You can shuffle 1 Ritual Monster from your GY into the Deck, and if you do, destroy 1 card your opponent controls.

Izana is essentially the only card in the deck to deal with an opponent's backrow, but it's not a big issue since she can be easily searched when you need it through Petit Angel, Benten, Senju / Gishki Chain, or return to the hand from grave through Dakini.

Her backrow removal effect is pretty good since it simply sends a spell/trap to the grave regardless if they're face up or down, bypassing certain spell/trap effects that activate when they're destroyed. She also has a partial counter to opponent's targeted effects, allowing her to destroy another card as a quick effect. This makes it good to use if your opponent has at least 2 spells/traps, or 1 spell/trap and another monster. If your opponent ends up activating their backrow and it happens to be something like Forbidden Lance, Izana can activate her effect to destroy any other card your opponent controls.

If your opponent activates a Fiendish Chain when they have 2 backrow cards in response to Izana's first effect, you can activate Izana's quick effect to destroy the chain instead. Once the whole thing resolves, your opponent will end up having to discard the other spell/trap, and your Izana is left unchained. If your opponent doesn't have any other spell/trap other than the chain, you can use Izana's quick effect to destroy your opponent's monster instead.

On top of all the effects, she can also attack multiple times if they destroy monsters. This can really help close out games, especially when her attack is boosted by Idaten.

Cyber Angel Dakini
Cyber Angel Dakini
LIGHT Fairy ★8
ATK 2700 / DEF 2400
Alexis Rhodes Lvl 35 [SR]
Alexis Rhodes [SR]
Alluring Alexis Roaming Event [SR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card is Ritual Summoned: You can make your opponent send 1 monster they control to the Graveyard (their choice). If a Ritual Monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn, during your End Phase: You can target 1 Ritual Monster or 1 "Machine Angel Ritual" in your Graveyard; add it to your hand.

Dakini is pretty much the deck's main boss monster. Its effect to send your opponent's monster to the grave is non-targeting, essentially bypassing non-targetable monsters, and avoiding certain monster effects that activate when they are destroyed. This effect is especially powerful if your opponent only has their boss monster on the field.

In terms of offensive capabilities, Cyber Angel Dakini has decent ATK and gives all of your Ritual Monsters the ability to deal piercing damage. And for extra resource gain, she also allows you to recover a Ritual Monster or a “Machine Angel Ritual” at the end of every turn.

Sacrificing many of your resources to only have 1 Dakini on the field may seem risky, but if you use Master of Rites II skill, then she is protected from your opponent's monster effects that target. And if you summoned her using Machine Angel Ritual, then she is protected from destruction as well. Just be sure not to take the Machine Angel Ritual from the grave to your hand during your end phase if you only have 1 of it in the grave.

If you use Level Duplication, you can Ritual Summon Dakini by Tributing Cyber Angel Benten or Idaten and then add them back to your hand during your End Phase.

Cyber Angel Benten
Cyber Angel Benten
LIGHT Fairy ★6
ATK 1800 / DEF 1500
Alexis Rhodes Lvl 16 [R]
Alexis Rhodes [R]
Alluring Alexis Roaming Event [R]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's original DEF in the Graveyard. If this card is Tributed: You can add 1 LIGHT Fairy-Type monster from your Deck to your hand.

Benten has a decent effect that lets you poke some damage at the opponent. And because her Level matches up with Idaten, she's quite easy to summon with good stats if you need instant field presence. But Benten's best use is to be a ritual tribute, so that you can activate her search effect.

If you have yet to normal summon, the best card to search for is Cyber Petit Angel. This is so that you can search for Dakini, or Machine Angel Absolute Ritual to be able to summon Dakini. This can also help mill out your deck to get to your other pieces easier, but can be risky if you think your opponent has traps to negate Petit Angel's effect.

Cyber Angel Idaten
Cyber Angel Idaten
LIGHT Fairy ★6
ATK 1600 / DEF 2000
Alexis Rhodes [SR]
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Machine Angel Ritual". If this card is Ritual Summoned: You can add 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. If this card is Tributed: You can make all Ritual Monsters you control gain 1000 ATK and DEF.

To maximize your search effects, Ritual Summon Idaten by Tributing Benten. Benten fetches Dakini, while Idaten fetches the Ritual Spell.

If Idaten is Tributed, you can increase the ATK and DEF of all Ritual Monsters you currently control by 1000. This is a huge boost so you should prioritize using Idaten as material especially if you control multiple Ritual monsters. This can be a good way to deal with an opponent's monster if they are unaffected by your cards.

You can recycle Idaten again by using Dakini's end phase effect to take it from the grave. Then keep ritual summoning other monsters by using Idaten to boost your ritual monsters again and again.

Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands

Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands
LIGHT Fairy ★4
ATK 1400 / DEF 1000
Maximum Gustav [SR]
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 Ritual Monster or 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

To help get a ritual spell or monster from the deck. It's also a level 4, which can be used to ritual summon Idaten or Benten with Petit Angel, Dakini or Izana with another monster in hand, but it's usually just used as a beater or rank 4 Xyz instead.

Djinn Demolisher of Rituals

Djinn Demolisher of Rituals
Djinn Demolisher of Rituals
DARK Fiend ★3
ATK 1500 / DEF 600
PvP Duel: Turbo Duel Grand Prix [SR]
Duelist Chronicles GX: Society of Light [SR]
Tabletop RPG: Monster World Event [SR]
New Week Campaign! [SR]
When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon. If a player Ritual Summons using this card, that Ritual Summoned monster cannot be targeted by the card effects of the other player.

Ritual Cage from the skill only makes your ritual monsters untargetable from monster effects. There are plenty of dangerous spells/traps like Karma Cut or Book of Moon which will be pretty devastating if you get hit with.

Making your monsters untargetable gives them a high level of protection, allowing you to keep buffing them up with Idaten knowing that they will be much harder to take down. Being a level 3 + usable in the grave is definitely an added bonus.

Cyber Petit Angel

Cyber Petit Angel
Cyber Petit Angel
LIGHT Fairy ★2
ATK 300 / DEF
Alexis Rhodes Lvl 23 & 38 [R]
If this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Cyber Angel" monster or "Machine Angel Ritual" from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Cyber Petit Angel" once per turn.

Cyber Petit Angel is the standard searcher for the Cyber Angel archetype, so running it is naturally a good consistency boost.

If you want to ritual summon Dakini or Izana by using Machine Angel Absolute Ritual, then keep in mind that you need monsters as sacrifice that totals to lvl 8. This means that you need Petit Angel and another lvl 6 ritual monster like Idaten or Benten.

Machine Angel Ritual and Machine Angel Absolute Ritual

Machine Angel Absolute Ritual
Machine Angel Absolute Ritual
Ritual Spell
Alexis Rhodes at Lvl 33 [SR]
Alexis Rhodes [SR]
Alluring Alexis Roaming Event [SR]
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field and/or shuffle Fairy or Warrior-Type monsters from your Graveyard into the Deck, whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon.
Machine Angel Ritual
Machine Angel Ritual
Ritual Spell
Alexis Rhodes at Lvl 3 [R]
Alexis Rhodes [R]
Alluring Alexis Roaming Event [R] [R]
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels equal or exceed the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon. If a LIGHT monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect while this card is in your Graveyard, you can banish this card instead.

Most of the time you’ll want to use Machine Angel Ritual as soon as possible because it adds an extra layer of protection to your monsters while it’s in your graveyard. However depending on your hand, there will be times when it’s better to search for a Machine Angel Absolute Ritual if it allows you to ritual summon more monsters that turn. MAAR is also more cost efficient because it allows you to use materials from the graveyard.

If you want to summon 2 big boss monsters, ritual summon with MAR using monsters from your field/hand before you ritual summon again with MAAR using monsters from your grave.

Merciful Machine Angel

Merciful Machine Angel
Merciful Machine Angel
Normal Spell
Alluring Alexis Roaming Event [SR]
Tribute 1 "Cyber Angel" Ritual Monster from your hand or field; draw 2 cards, then place 1 card from your hand on the bottom of the Deck. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters, except Ritual Monsters. You can only activate 1 "Merciful Machine Angel" per turn.

Merciful Machine Angel is great for cycling through your Deck so that you can get to the combo pieces you need. Ideally, you tribute Benten for cost so that you simultaneously get to use her search effect. You can also tribute Idaten to give all your face-up Ritual monsters a huge ATK boost.

Extra Decks

Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon
Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon
LIGHT Dragon ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; monsters you control cannot attack your opponent directly for the rest of this turn, except this card, also take control of the targeted monster until the End Phase, but while this effect is applied, it has its effects negated, its ATK becomes 3000, also its name becomes "Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon".

3000 ATK beater with an effect that lets you temporarily control your opponent's monster. Increasing the ATK to 3000 just means that you can choose a low ATK monster your opponent controls to help as a beater.

Its effect works best if your opponent has at least 2 monsters on the field. If your opponent has another 3000 ATK monster on the field, you can crash it with the one you took control of. If your opponent has another low ATK monster then you can potentially still OTK since the monster you took control of isn't attacking directly.

Constellar Ptolemy M7
Constellar Ptolemy M7
LIGHT Machine ★6
ATK 2700 / DEF 2000
Infinite Ray [UR]
2 Level 6 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, other than "Constellar Ptolemy M7". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If Summoned this way, the following effect cannot be activated this turn. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster on the field or in either player's Graveyard; return that target to the hand.

Ptolemy can be used as single-target non-destruction removal. Alternatively, you can use it to recover a card from your graveyard. Both effects make Ptolemy a versatile addition to your Extra Deck.

Usually, the way to summon this is by summoning Idaten or Benten with Machine Angel Ritual, then another Idaten/Benten with Absolute Ritual using monsters from your grave as the cost.

Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Blade Dragon
Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Blade Dragon
LIGHT Dragon ★9
ATK 3200 / DEF 2800
Heart of Xyz [SR]
3 Level 9 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 8 "Galaxy-Eyes" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) Cannot be used as an Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this Xyz Summoned card is destroyed by your opponent's attack or card effect and sent to your Graveyard: You can target 1 "Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon" in your Graveyard; Special Summon it.

Can be Xyz Summon using Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon. Unlike Galaxy-Eyes Full Armor Photon Dragon with Face-Up Card Removal limitation, Cipher Blade can remove any 1 card on the field which is good for getting rid of some backrow that will disrupt your combo or Big Boss monsters with bigger ATK stats than any of your monsters.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon
DARK Dragon ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Phantom of Rebellion [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its ATK becomes half its current ATK, and if it does, this card gains that lost ATK.
Photon Strike Bounzer
Photon Strike Bounzer
LIGHT Warrior ★6
ATK 2700 / DEF 2000
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 6 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effect, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.

Summon Strike Bounzer early game if you want to stop your opponent from making their opening combos. Negate combo starters like The Phantom Knights Deck and Odd-Eyes Deck. This can throw them off pace for the rest of the Duel if they don't have any good comeback options.

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Malevolent Sin is an anti-Xyz tech. Summon Malevolent Sin and use its effect to temporarily banish an enemy Xyz monster. The Xyz monster will return with no materials attached to it.

Similar to Dakini, Malevolent Sin is pretty good when your opponent only has 1 main boss monster on their field. This effect can help close out games, or temporarily banish a dangerous monster.

Mostly an optional card since this deck and playstyle rarely has 2 level 4 monsters on the field to Xyz.

Ritual Cage prevents your Ritual Monsters from being targeted or destroyed by monster effects, protecting them from stuff like Desperado Barrel Dragon.

Other Cards Option

Gishki Chain

Gishki Chain
Gishki Chain
WATER Sea Serpent ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 1000
Abyss Encounters [UR]
If this card is Normal Summoned: Look at the top 3 cards of your Deck, you can reveal 1 Ritual Monster or 1 Ritual Spell Card among them and add it to your hand, also after that, place any remaining cards on the top of your Deck in any order.

Upon summon, Gishki Chain fetches a card you need to make your Ritual play. And if there was another important card you excavated but could not fetch, you can arrange it to be your next draw. This makes Gishki Chain a pretty good consistency booster.

Searchers

Senju of the Thousand Hands
Senju of the Thousand Hands
LIGHT Fairy ★4
ATK 1400 / DEF 1000
Neo-Impact [UR]
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand.
Sonic Bird
Sonic Bird
WIND Winged Beast ★4
ATK 1400 / DEF 1000
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned, you can add 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
  • When Senju of the Thousand Hands is Normal or Flip Summoned, it allows you to add a Ritual Monster from your Deck to your hand. Normal Summon Senju and search Cyber Angel Izana, Dakini, Benten or Idaten.
  • When Sonic Bird is Normal or Flip Summoned, it allows you to add a Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. Normal Summon Sonic Bird and search Machine Angel Absolute Ritual or Machine Angel Ritual.

Sprites Blessing

Sprites Blessing
Sprites Blessing
Ritual Spell
Neo-Impact [R]
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any LIGHT Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of the Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon.

If you find that the deck needs more ritual spells, you can put more in the deck by using Sprites Blessing. The main downside to this is that the levels of total materials will need to be EXACTLY what the ritual monster you want to summon.

This has more value if you have different ritual monsters that use different ritual spells, which isn't really an issue in this deck.

Extra Decks

Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis
Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis
LIGHT Dragon ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 2500
Infinite Ray [UR]
2 Level 8 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; Tribute any number of monsters from your hand and/or your side of the field (minimum 1), then destroy an equal number of cards on the field.

Heliopolis can be summoned by using any combination of Izana and Dakini as material, or you can cheese him out with the help of Level Duplication. Its mass destruction effect is really powerful and can easily result in OTKs if you have enough resources. Additionally, the Deck has pretty good resource gain ability, with some monsters that want to be tributed such as Benten and Idaten so the cost isn't much of a problem.

It's definitely an optional card, but can be situationally useful when you want to destroy multiple cards your opponent controls.

Number C39: Utopia Ray
Number C39: Utopia Ray
LIGHT Warrior ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Infinite Ray [UR]
3 Level 4 LIGHT monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 39: Utopia" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it gains 500 ATK and 1 monster your opponent controls loses 1000 ATK, until the End Phase. You must have 1000 Life Points or less to activate and to resolve this effect.

Since you can only use Utopia Ray's effect when down to your last 1000 LP, he is best used to clutch the game. The ATK manipulation can help you get rid of a powerful enemy monster and deal massive damage. Keep in mind this effect can be activated multiple times per turn as long as you have the materials.

Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger
Gaia Dragon, the Thunder Charger
WIND Dragon ★7
ATK 2600 / DEF 2100
Infinite Ray [SR]
2 Level 7 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 5 or 6 Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

Like most Decks that run Rank-5s and 6s, Gaia Dragon is a good Extra Deck addition. Put it on top of any eligible Xyz monster that has spent all its materials. (except Sword Breaker)

Number 25: Force Focus
Number 25: Force Focus
LIGHT Machine ★6
ATK 2800 / DEF 2400
Shining Hope [SR]
2 Level 6 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Level 5 or higher Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate the effects of that opponent's face-up monster, until the end of the turn.

Either this or Photon Strike Bounzer to have some form of control. Negating monster effects will often times be able to stop further combos from your opponent, so it can be worth it to consider bringing.

Daigusto Emeral
Daigusto Emeral
WIND Rock ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 800
Sign of Harpies [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle all 3 into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
● Target 1 non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

Merciful Machine Angel is a good draw card, but you're usually taking a loss each time you activate it. Emeral is arguable a more efficient draw engine, that also lets you recycle your single copy of Dakini.

Ghostrick Alucard
Ghostrick Alucard
DARK Zombie ★3
ATK 1800 / DEF 1600
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 3 monsters
Monsters your opponent controls cannot target face-up "Ghostrick" monsters, or any face-down Defense Position monsters, for attacks, except this one. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Set card your opponent controls; destroy that target. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Alucard" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 other "Ghostrick" card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.

To destroy your opponent's backrow so you can more safely attack your opponent.

CA is gonna get some new support in the upcoming Legendary Duelist pack in the OCG. Hope DL does the same or at least removes cards from the banlist.

Are CAs still usable?? I'm just back at the game and back at my days, CA was tier 0 (yeah, I'm old).
I have 3 senjus and 2 saffira. I obviously do not want to just abandon them after using up so much gems. And I could exchange sonic bird or gishki chain with the recent dream ur ticket.
This CA archtype still worth investing on??
