How To Play

Batteryman Monsters

Batteryman Industrial Strength
Batteryman Industrial Strength
LIGHT Thunder ★8
ATK 2600 / DEF 0
Burning Nova [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 02 [UR]
This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by removing from play 2 "Batteryman" monsters from your Graveyard. Once per turn, you can remove from play 1 Thunder-Type monster from your Graveyard to destroy 1 monster and 1 Spell or Trap Card on the field.

Industrial Strength can be Special Summoned for little cost. Micro-Cell can help load your graveyard while also gainin resources. Set Micro-Cell, have your opponent attack into it so you get to Special Summon a Batteryman plus draw a card. Micro-Cell can then be banished along with another Batteryman to summon Industrial Strength.

Industrial Strength has a decent backrow removal effect that's useful for getting rid of enemy battle traps. However, Traps such as Floodgate Trap Hole, Paleozoic Canadia, and Fiendish Chain can still be a problem. So playing backrow disruption like Hey, Trunade! before summoning Industrial Strength is a good choice.

Batteryman Charger
Batteryman Charger
LIGHT Thunder ★5
ATK 1800 / DEF 1200
Burning Nova [R]
When this card is Normal Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Batteryman" monster, except "Batteryman Charger", from your hand or Deck. This card gains 300 ATK and DEF for each Thunder-Type monster you control.

Charger is actually at the center of this Deck's main combo. Activate your Skill then tribute Labyrinth Wall to summon Charger. Charger Special Summons 9-Volts, and with two Batteryman monsters on the field you can Special Summon Fuel Cell. With a full field of monsters, Charger reaches 2700 ATK. Fuel Cell can then bounce an enemy monster by tributing 9-Volt, and hopefully you get to direct attack with Charger and Fuel Cell.

Batteryman 9-Volt
Batteryman 9-Volt
LIGHT Thunder ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1000
Aerial Assault [SR]
When this card is Summoned: You can add 1 "Batteryman" monster from your Deck to your hand, and if you do, this card's ATK and DEF become double its original ATK and DEF. You can only use this effect of "Batteryman 9-Volt" once per turn. During your End Phase: Destroy this card.

Upon Summoning 9-Volt you get to search a Batteryman. This search effect is still activated when you Special Summon 9-Volt with Charger's effect, which you will then use to search Fuel Cell.

Batteryman Fuel Cell
Batteryman Fuel Cell
LIGHT Thunder ★6
ATK 2100 / DEF 0
Aerial Assault [R]
If you control 2 or more face-up "Batteryman" monsters, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 "Batteryman" monster, except this card, to select 1 card your opponent controls and return it to its owner's hand.

Fuel Cell is easy to Special Summon especially if you already started the combo with Charger. The removal effect does not destroy and is particularly good at getting rid of Extra Deck monsters. For the cost, tribute 9-Volt because it'll destroy itself during the End Phase anyway.

Attack Protection

Sphere Kuriboh
Sphere Kuriboh
DARK Fiend ★1
ATK 300 / DEF 200
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon.

Batteryman Decks are excellent at offense, putting monsters on board, activating removal effects, then performing OTKs. But they lack any defensive options during the opponent's turn, which makes them susceptible to OTKs. For this reason we tech Sphere Kuriboh as an on hand defense card.

Battlin Boxer Veil
Battlin Boxer Veil
FIRE Warrior ★4
ATK 0 / DEF 1800
Rage of Volcano [R]
When you take battle damage: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, gain Life Points equal to the damage you took.

Extra Decks

Constellar Ptolemy M7
Constellar Ptolemy M7
LIGHT Machine ★6
ATK 2700 / DEF 2000
Infinite Ray [UR]
2 Level 6 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, other than "Constellar Ptolemy M7". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If Summoned this way, the following effect cannot be activated this turn. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster on the field or in either player's Graveyard; return that target to the hand.
Abyss Dweller
Abyss Dweller
WATER Sea Serpent ★4
ATK 1700 / DEF 1400
Photons of Galaxy [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
While this card has an Xyz Material attached that was originally WATER, all WATER monsters you control gain 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; any card effects that activate in your opponent's Graveyard cannot be activated this turn.
Photon Strike Bounzer
Photon Strike Bounzer
LIGHT Warrior ★6
ATK 2700 / DEF 2000
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 6 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a monster effect is activated on your opponent's side of the field: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effect, and if you do, inflict 1000 damage to your opponent.
Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon
Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon
DARK Fiend ★5
ATK 2600 / DEF 1700
Shark Fang [SR]
2 Level 5 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; destroy it.
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.
Steelswarm Roach
Steelswarm Roach
DARK Fiend ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 0
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
During either player's turn, when a Level 5 or higher monster would be Special Summoned: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the Special Summon, and if you do, destroy it.
Sword Breaker
Sword Breaker
EARTH Warrior ★6
ATK 2700 / DEF 1000
Shining Hope [R]
2 Level 6 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to declare 1 Monster Type; this card gains the following effect. At the start of the Damage Step, if this card battles a monster of a Type that has been declared: Destroy that monster.

Sword Breaker is a good beater with a non-targeting removal effect. The effect is continuous, so Sword Breaker can be quite strong against decks that only use one or two types of monsters. Great against Blue-Eyes, Blackwing, Noble Knights, etc.

Number 25: Force Focus
Number 25: Force Focus
LIGHT Machine ★6
ATK 2800 / DEF 2400
Shining Hope [SR]
2 Level 6 monsters
Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Level 5 or higher Effect Monster your opponent controls; negate the effects of that opponent's face-up monster, until the end of the turn.

Force Focus is good for negating the effects of high-leveled monsters. You can hit Synchro monsters with this negation because they're often high leveled and are quite common to toolbox. Desperado Barrel Dragon is another possible target for Force Focus' effect, preventing it from destroying your cards during your Battle Phase.

Skill Suggestion

[Skill] descriptionUser
Labyrinth Builder
Shuffle 2 cards from your hand into the Deck to create "Labyrinth Wall" on your side of the field. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
Paradox Brothers
Paradox Brothers

This Skill is used to Tribute Summon Batteryman Charger, it significantly increases consistency of the deck, and it justifies running so many high-Level monsters. Shuffle 2 cards back into the Deck to activate the Skill, Tribute Labyrinth Wall to Summon Charger, Special Summon 9-Volt from the Deck, add Fuel Cell from your Deck to your hand.

Other useful cards

Batteryman Solar

Batteryman Solar
Batteryman Solar
LIGHT Thunder ★4
ATK 1500 / DEF 1500
Burning Nova [R]
Selection Box Vol. 02 [R]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can send 1 Thunder monster from your Deck to the GY. If a Thunder monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned while this monster is on the field: Special Summon 1 "Batteryman Token" (Thunder/LIGHT/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0). You can target 1 "Batteryman" Effect Monster you control or in your GY; this card's name becomes that monster's until the End Phase. You can only use each effect of "Solar Batteryman" once per turn.

Other Extra Decks

Number C39: Utopia Ray
Number C39: Utopia Ray
LIGHT Warrior ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Infinite Ray [UR]
3 Level 4 LIGHT monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Number 39: Utopia" you control as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; it gains 500 ATK and 1 monster your opponent controls loses 1000 ATK, until the End Phase. You must have 1000 Life Points or less to activate and to resolve this effect.

Since you can only use Utopia Ray's effect when down to your last 1000 LP, he is best used to clutch the game. The ATK manipulation can help you get rid of a powerful enemy monster and deal massive damage. Keep in mind this effect can be activated multiple times per turn as long as you have the materials.

Number 39: Utopia
Number 39: Utopia
LIGHT Warrior ★4
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Shining Hope [UR]
2 Level 4 monsters
When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the attack. When this card is targeted for an attack, while it has no Xyz Materials: Destroy this card.

Reserve Utopia in your Extra Deck until you plan to make Utopia Ray.

Gagaga Cowboy
Gagaga Cowboy
EARTH Warrior ★4
ATK 1500 / DEF 2400
Gagaga XYZ
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; apply this effect, depending on this card's current battle position.
● Attack Position: If this card attacks an opponent's monster this turn, it gains 1000 ATK, also the opponent's monster loses 500 ATK, during the Damage Step only.
● Defense Position: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent.

Gagaga Cowboy's defense position effect can occasionally steal you some wins by burning your opponent's last 400LP. The attack position effect is good for beating down bigger monsters, especially when given double attack by Gagaga Samurai.

Gagaga Samurai
Gagaga Samurai
EARTH Warrior ★4
ATK 1900 / DEF 1600
Shining Hope [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Gagaga" monster you control; it can make a second attack during each Battle Phase this turn. When another monster you control is targeted for an attack while this card is in Attack Position: You can change this card to Defense Position, and if you do, change the attack target to this card and perform damage calculation.

Samurai is a great monster for pushing damage. Give Samurai's double attack to Cowboy, making the double attack even more potent.
