Pros

  • Can be Special Summoned by removing 2 “Batteryman” monsters from your Graveyard.
  • Can banish 1 Thunder-type monster from your Graveyard to destroy 1 monster and 1 Spell/Trap on the Field.
  • Powerful ATK stats.

Cons

  • Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set.
  • Cannot be Special Summoned by other ways.
  • Has no DEF value.

Tips

  • You can also include Powerful Rebirth to Special Summon your low level “Batteryman” monsters, since the archetype benefits most from Special Summoning.
  • You can consider using cards like That Grass Looks Greener and Needlebug Nest to quickly fill your Graveyard with “Batteryman” or Thunder-type monsters.

Archetype Monsters

Batteryman Micro-Cell has a Flip effect that Special Summons 1 level 4 or lower Batteryman monster from your Deck to your Field (except Batteryman Micro-Cell). It also allows you to draw 1 card if it was destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard. Batteryman D has good DEF stats and make your opponent unable to attack other Thunder-type monsters except Batteryman D. Batteryman AA gains 1000 ATK per “Batteryman AA” monster that is in ATK position, or 1000 DEF per “Batteryman AA” that is in DEF position. Batteryman Charger allows you to Special Summon another “Batteryman” monster from your Deck or Hand (except itself), when it was Normal Summoned. It also gains 300 ATK and DEF for every Thunder-type monster in your Graveyard. Batteryman Solar allows you to send 1 Thunder-type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard, when it was Normal or Special Summoned. It can also Special Summon 1 Batteryman token, when another Thunder monster was Special Summoned to the Field while this monster is on the Field. It can also change its name to any Batteryman monster’s name in your Graveyard. Batteryman C can increase the ATK and DEF all Machine-type monsters you control, depending on the “Batteryman C” monsters that are in ATK or DEF position on your Field. Batteryman AAA can Special Summon another “Batteryman” monster from your Hand or Graveyard when it was Normal or Flip Summoned.

Archetype support

Battery Charger allows you to pay 500 LP to Special Summon any “Batteryman” monster from your Graveyard. Quick Charger is a Quick-play spell that adds 2 “Batteryman” monsters from your Graveyard to your Hand. Recycling Batteries returns 2 Thunder-type monsters with 1500 or less ATK from your Graveyard to your Hand. Super-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon can be Tribute Summoned using 1 of either Batteryman D, Batteryman C, Batteryman AA, and receive corresponding effects.

Thunder Support

Rai-Mei is able to search for the archetype’s key monster cards after it was destroyed by battle and sent to the graveyard. Thunder Nyan Nyan is a Thunder monster with high ATK, which serves as a beater as well as banish material. Thunder Sea Horse can be discarded to get 2 Level 4 Thunder type monsters with the same name, with 1600 or less ATK, from your Deck to your Hand, but you cannot Special Summon during that turn. Judgement of Thunder is a follow-up trap to destroy 1 card on the Field when a Thunder monster was Special Summoned to your Field.

Why on earth is this a targetted effect? Errata when konami.

I think Bahaa said it right. It's A+ due to some many people are running back row. I ran into more duels with back row then none. That to me it's A+. And I lockdown there back row, to make sure when he comes out there something to destroy.
Bahaa
This card rate is B+ he must be A+ because it destroy 1 monster and 1 spell/trap card

Agree & disagree Reply
The fact that he destroy both monster & S/T is definitely good, but it can also be a downside since that it is MANDATORY to have 2 targets (1 for monster, 1 for S/T).

If the opponent doesn't have monster but have loads of S/T, you can use this cards effect, but you will be forced to destroy 1 of your own monster also.
Same vice versa for S/T

B+ is fair I think, or A- could have been better

*shrug* If they don't have Recon, Micro-Cell into Solar sets it up.

Decent removal effect but garbage summoning condition and archetype.

Batteryman can be really powerful when used right.

The summoning condition isn't exactly hard to fulfil either.
