Ultimate Fusion! Can be used each time your Life Points descreases by 1500. Instead of conducting your normal draw, "Super Polymerization" is added to your hand from the outside of your deck. This Skill can only be used once per duel. | Jaden/Yubel |
Running both Gozuki and Samurai Skull may seem redundant, but it’s necessary: it’s the easiest and most consistent way of getting Vampire Retainer and Vampire Familiar into the Graveyard.
You can use Retainer’s effect to search the Vampire Kingdom, Vampire’s Desire, Vampire’s Domain or Vampire Takeover. If you want to Summon Vampire Vamp or Vampire Grace, you are likely going to need the additional Normal Summon/Set from Vampire’s Domain, whereas, if you already have the Continuous Spell available, you might want to go for Vampire Takeover (Turn 1) or directly for the Vampire Kingdom.
You can use Familiar’s effect to search Vampire Grace, which, in combination with the Vampire Kingdom, used to be this Deck’s primary way of removing threats from the field, or Vampire Vamp, a Level 7 “Vampire” monster that can get rid of high ATK monsters like Elemental HERO Brave Neos and Blue-Eyes White Dragon by equipping them to itself.
Unfortunately, if they were Special Summoned by their own effect, both Retainer and Familiar are banished when they leave the field, which means you will not be able to Special Summon them again on your next turn or even to use them for Gozuki’s effect.
Super Polymerization lets you Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from either side of the field as Fusion Materials. This Quick-Play Spell essentially allows you to take advantage of the fact that a lot of the problematic monsters you are going to encounter (Desperado Barrel Dragon, Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En and all “Darklord” monsters) share the same Attribute as your Vampires: they are all DARK and, aside from Vendreads, they are not Zombies.
You are admittedly going to have to put a lot of resources into this card, starting from losing a lot of Life Points, but the payoff is there.
All monsters you control that have the same Attribute as Mudragon, including Mudragon itself, cannot be targeted by your opponent’s card effects. Additionally, you can change Mudragon’s Attribute once per turn, turning it into a DARK monster and giving protection to all of your “Vampire” monsters.

Getting yourself to 1500 Life Points is risky and it’s arguably not something worth doing to get a single Quick-Play Spell, but Vampires can and will get themselves to this point regularly just to search and to establish their board. I’m sure we all thought of Vampires when this Skill was revealed.
