  • Protects your monsters from opponent’s card effects.
  • Prevents your opponent from targeting their own monsters if those monsters have the same attribute as this card.
  • Generic fusion materials.

  • Cannot protect monsters that have already been targeted.
  • Cannot protect against non-targeting effects.
  • Relatively weak stats.

  • Your opponent can still chain targeting effects while Mudragon of the Swamp is changing attributes which hinders his effectiveness.
  • Best for supporting WATER decks so it does not need to change attributes.

Permanent Attribute Change

Mudragon of the Swamp constantly changing his attribute can give your opponent openings to use targeting effects. DNA Transplant changes all monsters on the field to a selected attribute so Mudragon’s effect will cover every monster without constantly needing to change attributes. Scroll of Bewitchment can permanently change Mudragon’s attribute.

In what deck is this card useful in.

Not useful in any deck, just one of those dead SR cards that are usually added to all packs. The idea to protect a certain type from targeting effects would've been nice, sadly if you chain after it (or other cards on field) were targeted it does nothing, and similarly targeting traps can be chained to its activation.

It's not dead at all... it fuses something when you need a search from Fusion Reserve and don't want the second effect to go to waste...
super-poly =D
