Pros

  • Can equip any Dragon-type monster from your Graveyard to itself and gain that equipped monster’s ATK.
  • Equipped monster will be destroyed instead, if Cyberdark Dragon would be destroyed by battle.

Cons

  • Weak base ATK and DEF.
  • Cannot be Special Summoned except Fusion summon.
  • Challenging to Fusion Summon, you need 3 Fusion materials.

Tips

  • Alternatively you can also use Cybernetic Fusion Support, to banish monsters from either your Hand, Graveyard, or Field, as Fusion Materials. Bear in mind you will still need to use Polymerization to perform Fusion Summoning.

Synergy

Cyberdark Impact! is a powerful card that allows you to return 1 of each: Cyberdark Horn, Cyberdark Edge, Cyberdark Keel, from your Hand, Field or Graveyard, back to your Deck, in order to Fusion Summon Cyberdark Dragon. This goes along very well with That Grass Looks Greener which can greatly fill your Graveyard with Cyberdark monsters. Red-Eyes B. Dragon is the best selection because of how easily you can get it to the Graveyard by using Red-Eyes Insight, besides equipping it to your Cyberdark Dragon, since it will be destroyed and sent to the Graveyard(as Equip monster to Cyberdark Dragon) when Cyberdark Dragon would be destroyed by battle, it can also be Special Summoned from the Graveyard by using Red-Eyes Spirit, good flexibility.

Cyberdark Archetype

These are the Cyberdark monsters that are required as the Fusion Materials for Cyberdark Dragon.

Fusion Support

You can opt to use Polymerization to Fusion Summon, therefore you can use these cards to support your Fusion actions. Fusion Recycling Plant can recycle 1 fusion material monster to your hand, and also search for Polymerization from your deck. King of the Swamp can be treated as 1 fusion material required for Fusion Summon, and at the same time it also can be used to search 1 Polymerization from your Deck. Fusion Sage can search 1 Polymerization from your deck. De-Fusion is a powerful follow-up card when you attack with your Fusion monster, as it can dissolve the Fusion monster to resummon the Fusion materials from your Graveyard, enabling you more attack options. Fusion Reserve allows you to add 1 of the Fusion materials listed on the Fusion monster to your hand, and add 1 Polymerization from your Graveyard to your Hand.

Machine Support

All Cyberdark monsters are Machine-type, therefore they can benefit from the listed Machine-type Support cards.

Its weak cards. The retrain is better.

There's no retrain. Cannon and Claw are just additional members, and Cyberdarkness is a real upgrade, not just a retrain.

That picture for the event showed him. And last night, I heard Zane say, "Yugioh Duel Links!" in a different way than before (I think). I just hope that this event doesn't revisit his loss to Aster.

I dont mind cyberdark as long as they bring cyber dragon support too in lvl up reward or duel reward

I'm sure they will. It just might not be as much as we want. As long as they don't turn this into another Alexis situation, it should be ok.

Kind of a weak card to be adding this late into the game with all of the other archetypes floating around ie banishing and removal with effects

This card not even competitive when it first release irl dude.. So don't expect it to be great at all in DL even before current meta

yep, Cyberdark Impact was regarded as the worst booster pack set in Yugioh history.

We'll gonna need Cyberdark Cannon, Cyberdark Claw, Cyberdarkness Dragon, and Cyberdark Inferno for them to be more relevant in DL.

iirc at one point a Konami rep even admitted CDIP was really bad.

That's the thing, though. Cyberdark Impact was a pretty good set. But its holos were UNUSABLY terrible. The Cyberdarks I guess weren't terrible (and they're actually pretty solid now with the newer support), but the only holo in the entire set that EVER saw competitive play was Cyber Ogre 2, due to Metamorphosis. But it has a huge number of relevant commons/rares.
