If you control an "Archfiend" card, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand), but it cannot attack this turn. You can only Special Summon "Archfiend Commander" once per turn this way. When Special Summoned this way: Target 1 "Archfiend" card you control; destroy that target. When this card is Tribute Summoned: You can target 1 Level 6 "Archfiend" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position.

Tips

Archfiend Spell/Trap

Archfiend Commander only requires you to destroy an Archfiend card not specifically an Archfiend monster so destroying Spell/Trap cards might be better for maintaining board presence.

Destruction Targets

Destroy these Archfiend monsters when you special summon Archfiend Commander to trigger their effects. Archfiend Cavalry and Archfiend Empress lets you revive monsters when they are destroyed. Trance Archfiend lets you recover a banished DARK monster.

This is going to be so much fun with archfiend emperor and empress. Emperor for its quick double summon: summon emperor, summon commander, summon emperor in defense mode or empress for its free commander summon (or emperor summon): summon commander while empress is on the field to either negate commander's own effect or switch empress for a emperor.

Mill with Grass/Needlebug Nest, Normal summon Cavalry, SS this, destroy Cavalry, Cavalry effect, SS Emperor/Empress. Voila

Probably the kind that always only auto duels the standard duelists and never do anything else in the game

Multiple scenarios in which this becomes even better when Archfiend Heiress and Red Eyes Archfiend of lightning comes out.

Currently this would be very beneficial in these 2 scenarios that can happen quite often in Archfiend decks:
1) Archfiend Emperor in the grave- personally like to use dark world dealings, or its a turn after he was summoned and then died from his normal summon effect. Summon Cavalry, special summon Commander, destroy Cavalry, special summon Emperor, powerful board setup where Emperor can pop a card using cavalry and wait for next turn as you can’t attack.
2) If you have something banished, can special summon while already having trance, destroy trance and get a card back, helpful for recycling.

3-Future) Summon Heiress, special Commander, destroy Heiress, search any Archfiend card.
•Sidenote, when Red Eyes Archfiend of Lightning comes, he will be extremely effective as you can special summon him with either CotA, or Roar, then normal summon and activate his effect, destroying an entire field of monsters with defence lower than 2500. Use beat down and this becomes 2800 to 3400 best scenario, and Archfiend Palabrynth to increase the cards attack in another way to have it get maximum effect. Hope it comes out soon.
