If you control an "Archfiend" card, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand), but it cannot attack this turn. You can only Special Summon "Archfiend Commander" once per turn this way. When Special Summoned this way: Target 1 "Archfiend" card you control; destroy that target. When this card is Tribute Summoned: You can target 1 Level 6 "Archfiend" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target in face-up Defense Position.

Tips

Archfiend Spell/Trap

Archfiend Commander only requires you to destroy an Archfiend card not specifically an Archfiend monster so destroying Spell/Trap cards might be better for maintaining board presence.

Destruction Targets

Destroy these Archfiend monsters when you special summon Archfiend Commander to trigger their effects. Archfiend Cavalry and Archfiend Empress lets you revive monsters when they are destroyed. Trance Archfiend lets you recover a banished DARK monster.

Archfiends have a bunch of powerful high-leveled monsters you can revive with Archfiend Commander. Here are some examples.

We still need archfiend heiress

I feel like this can make some cool plays, but there aren't any other lvl 6 archfiend cards in-game yet that are worth comboing yet. I feel this will be awesome when more archfiend cards are released, but right now its just pretty to look at.
Oh well, better get it while its here.

I tried it with Archfiend Giant as you can see in my post below this one
If you get 1 Archfiend Giant fast and you special Summon Archfiend Commander, use the "destroy 1 Archfiend" on the Giant and use the Giant's ability to negate said destruction (500lp cost, one time only) and you have 2 nice creatures
That's one nice combo, nothing to write home about but still!

You can tribute Commander using Giant or itself and revive the tributed monster the same turn but since it's defense position, it can't attack and it's vulnerable tho' but that's that

But honestly, using Ancient Rules or Cosmo Brain works way better / faster if you ask me so :(
PS = Too bad they removed Magician Robe... now i can't get it T_T

Red eyes Archfiend of lightning is very much worth getting it to combo

I was able to get to stage 2 with this deck

So you summon an Archfiend Giant (lvl6) then this guy and you pay 500lp to keep the giant to have both monsters on the field? Cool!
(then they both disappear thanks to Dual Wield)

Archfiend commander is a really terrible card, it has no good uses with the current game right now

So anyone made an archfiend deck with this? Is there a new wombo combo with this card that makes archfiend "better" or a little bit more competitive lije tgey used to be?
