“Krawler” is an archetype of mostly Level 2 EARTH Insect-Type monsters that has recently been introduced in Duel Links. The “Krawler” archetype primarily consists of Flip monsters that all share the ability to Special Summon more monsters of their own archetype when they leave the field because of an opponent’s card effect while they are face-up.
The strategy of this deck revolves around swarming the field with various Flip monsters, slowly depleting your opponent’s resources and then finishing them off with Deus-X-Krawler before they have a chance to recover.

Draw Sense: Low Level Can be used each time your Life Points decrease by 1000. In the Draw Phase, instead of conducting a normal draw, draw a random monster of Level 4 or lower. | Common |
Deus-X-Krawler | EARTH Insect ★9 ATK 2000 / DEF 3000 |
Blazing Rose [UR] | |
When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets this face-down monster (Quick Effect): You can change this card to face-up Defense Position; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. After this card was flipped face-up, while it is in the Monster Zone, negate all monster effects activated on your opponent's field. If this card on the field is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can add, from your Deck to your hand, 1 Level 9 monster with a different original Type and Attribute than this card. You can only use this effect of "Deus X-Krawler" once per turn. |
When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets your face-down Deus X-Krawler, by changing it to face-up Defense Position, you can negate the activation of that card or effect and then destroy it.
You can use this effect to prevent Snipe Hunter, Koa'ki Meiru Maximus, and Koa'ki Meiru Ice from destroying your main monster. After Deus X-Krawler is flipped face-up, all monster effects on your opponent’s side of the field are negated, so, even if Maximus or Ice were not destroyed because of Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru, you will not have to worry about them anymore. With this effect and 3000 DEF, Deus X-Krawler is definitely able to stick around for a few turns and, even if your opponent manages to destroy it, you can still bring it back via Kraler Glial’s effect.
Krawler Spine | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 300 / DEF 2100 |
Blazing Rose [UR] | |
FLIP: You can target 1 monster on the field; destroy that monster. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Spine". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Spine" once per turn.If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Spine". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Spine" once per turn. |
Krawler Axon | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 500 / DEF 1800 |
Blazing Rose [SR] | |
FLIP: You can target 1 Spell/Trap on the field; destroy it. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Axon". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Axon" once per turn. |
If a “Krawler” monster leaves the field because of an opponent’s card effect, you can Special Summon two “Krawler” monsters with different names from your Deck. While it’s true that you can use this effect to Special Summon Deus X-Krawler directly from your Deck, which definitely sounds more appealing than using Krawler Glial’s effect, it’s unlikely that your opponent will ever make one of your face-up “Krawler” monsters leave the field, unless they are forced to. Krawler Spine does have 2100 DEF, so it’s slightly more difficult to get rid of, but all of your other monsters are really not that hard to get over.
Krawler Ranvier | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 1100 / DEF 900 |
Blazing Rose [N] | |
FLIP: You can target up to 2 "Krawler" monsters in your GY; add them to your hand. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Ranvier". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Ranvier" once per turn. |
Krawler Receptor | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 900 / DEF 1200 |
Blazing Rose [R] | |
FLIP: You can add 1 "Krawler" monster from your Deck to your hand. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Receptor". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Receptor" once per turn. |
Use Krawler Receptor’s effect to add Deus X-Krawler (or any other “Krawler” monster) from your Deck to your hand.
Krawler Glial | EARTH Insect ★2 ATK 700 / DEF 1500 |
Blazing Rose [R] | |
FLIP: You can Special Summon 1 "Krawler" monster from your hand or GY, in face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Glial". If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 2 "Krawler" monsters with different names from your Deck in face-down Defense Position, except "Krawler Glial". You can only use each effect of "Krawler Glial" once per turn. |
Use Krawler Glial’s effect to Special Summon Deus X-Krawler from your hand or Graveyard in face-up Attack or face-down Defense Position.
World Legacy Pawn | Continuous Trap |
Judgement Force [SR] | |
You can target 1 face-down monster you control; change it to face-up Attack or Defense Position. You can shuffle 1 "Krawler" monster from your GY into the Main Deck, then target 1 face-up monster you control; change it to face-down Defense Position. You can only use 1 "World Legacy Pawns" effect per turn, and only once that turn. |
Number 9: Dyson Sphere | LIGHT Machine ★9 ATK 2800 / DEF 3000 |
Darkness Gimmick [UR] | |
2 Level 9 monsters Once per Battle Step, during your opponent's turn, if this card with Xyz Material is attacked: Negate the attack (this is a Quick Effect). When this card is targeted for an attack while it has no Xyz Materials: You can target 2 monsters in your Graveyard; attach those targets to this card as Xyz Materials. During your Main Phase 1: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card can attack your opponent directly this turn. Your opponent must control a monster with higher ATK than this card for you to activate and to resolve this effect. |
Gachi Gachi Gantetsu | EARTH Rock ★2 ATK 500 / DEF 1800 |
Antinomic Theory [SR] | |
2 Level 2 monsters If this face-up card would be destroyed, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead. Face-up monsters you control gain 200 ATK and DEF for each Xyz Material attached to this card. |
Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition | EARTH Zombie ★2 ATK 2200 / DEF 0 |
Shark Fang [R] | |
2 or more Level 2 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 other face-up card on the field; while this monster is face-up on the field, that target has its effects negated. While that target is on the field, cards with the same name as that target, and their effects, cannot be activated. |
Shining Elf | WIND Spellcaster ★2 ATK 1600 / DEF 1000 |
Shining Hope [R] | |
2 Level 2 monsters When your opponent Normal or Special Summons a monster(s) (except during the Damage Step): You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; that monster(s) loses 500 ATK. |
Retaliating C | EARTH Insect ★4 ATK 1400 / DEF 1400 |
Tetsu Trudge Unlock Event [SR] | |
During either player's turn, when your opponent activates a Spell Card that includes an effect that Special Summons a monster(s): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If Summoned this way, while this card is face-up on the field, any card sent to the Graveyard is banished instead. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can add 1 EARTH Insect-Type monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand, except "Retaliating "C"". |
When your opponent activates a Spell Card that would Special Summon a monster, you can Special Summon Retaliating “C” from your hand. If it was Special Summoned this way, while Retaliating “C” is face-up on the field, any card that would be sent to the Graveyard is banished instead.
If your opponent activates Neos Fusion, you can Special Summon Retaliating “C” from your hand and banish their Elemental HERO Neos, preventing them from using it for Miracle Contact or Miracle Fusion, Bacon Saver and even Neos Fusion itself. Retaliating “C” can also be Special Summoned in response to the activation of Red-Eyes Fusion, Destruction Swordsman Fusion, Silver's Cry, Ancient Rules and Asceticism of the Six Samurai, just to mention the most relevant ones.
If Retaliating “C” is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can add 1 EARTH Insect-Type monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand, except Retaliating “C”. With only 1400 ATK and DEF and such a disruptive effect, it’s unlikely that Retaliating “C” will stick around for long, but that doesn’t really matter: you can use its effect to search Krawler Spine, Krawler Axon, Krawler Receptor or Krawler Glial.

It’s Gurifu Early Kog July Kog with Krawlers! It works as anti meta and you pretty much sit there and wait for opponent to try to pop monsters so you can swarm the field and make everyone’s effects fizzle then beautiful dcs, Galil and spine were the MVPs allowing me to pop my opponents monsters and swarm the field And obviously Deus X carrying the duel, shuts down Thunder dragons and blue eyes like a bad habit and harpies and onomats just cry when you get your combo swarm popping off lmao. Gaia gave me the most trouble though popping my monsters as I set them and so fourth but other than that ggs and sorry to everyone who had to go up against me ;)
