“Madolche” is an archetype of EARTH monsters with various Types that was originally introduced via the D.D. Tower WIND and EARTH Dimension Event. Although “Madolche” did receive some pretty good support from Burning Nova, it just wasn’t enough for it to compete with Fur Hire, Masked HERO and Amazoness decks.
The “Madolche” archetype focuses on recycling their cards for repeated use, with all of the "Madolche" monsters being sent back to the Deck or the hand when they are destroyed by the opponent’s card. This unique trait is this archetype’s biggest strength and it gives this deck the ability to quickly recover while the opponent’s resources are slowly depleted.

What Grows in the Graveyard Begin the Duel with 1 "Dark Verger" in your Graveyard. | ![]() Akiza Izinski |
![]() Madolche Magileine | EARTH Spellcaster ★4 ATK 1400 / DEF 1200 |
Dimension of the Wizards [SR]
When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck. When this card is Normal or Flip Summoned: You can add 1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck to your hand. |
Normal Summon Magileine and search Mewfeuille or Hootcake, depending on whether Messengelato is in your hand or deck respectively. Summon Mewfeuille or Hootcake then use their effect to Special Summon Messengelato. Messengelato searches your Field Spell which gives you non-stop monster recycling. This combo is a good demonstration of the Madolche playstyle and strategy, good resource gain but low power output.
Magileine can search another copy of herself to cycle through your deck. But you will need to wait till your next turn to use the searched Magileine's effect.
![]() Madolche Hootcake | EARTH Beast ★3 ATK 1500 / DEF 1100 |
Dimension of the Wizards [SR]
When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. You can target 1 monster in your Graveyard; banish it, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Madolche" monster from your Deck, except "Madolche Hootcake". You can only use this effect of "Madolche Hootcake" once per turn. |
By banishing a monster from your Graveyard, Madolche Hootcake allows you to Special Summon another “Madolche” monster from your Deck. Normal Summon Madolche Hootcake, banish Dark Verger (placed there by your Skill) from your Graveyard then Special Summon Messengelato to search your Field Spell. Or, if you already have your Field Spell, Special Summon Puddingcess for a beater with a slightly slow removal effect.
![]() Madolche Mewfeuille | EARTH Beast ★3 ATK 500 / DEF 300 |
Burning Nova [R] | |
When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into your Deck. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Madolche" monster from your hand. |
Similar to Hootcake, Mewfeuille is used to swarm your field with Madolche monsters. But while Hootcake Special Summons from the deck, Mewfeuille Special Summons from the hand. Since Madolche Mewfeuille is a Beast-Type monster, if you use its effect to Special Summon Madolche Messengelato you will also get to search your Field Spell.
For both monsters you don't want to Special Summon Magileine because her effect won't activate.
![]() Madolche Chateau | Field Spell |
Burning Nova [R] | |
When this card is activated: Shuffle all "Madolche" monsters in your Graveyard into the Deck. All "Madolche" monsters on the field gain 500 ATK and DEF. If a monster(s) in your Graveyard would be returned to the Deck by the effect of a "Madolche" monster, you can add it to your hand instead. |
This Field Spell will increase the ATK and DEF of all “Madolche” monsters on the field, including the ones your opponent controls in a mirror match, by 500. Additionally, if any monster in your Graveyard would be returned to the Deck by the effect of a “Madolche” monster while you control Madolche Chateau, you can add it to your hand instead. This second effect is the most amazing part of Chateau, letting you endlessly recycle your monsters to keep up resources.
Since adding the monster back to the hand is not mandatory, you can still just shuffle the destroyed monster(s) back into the Deck to prevent yourself from running out of cards before your opponent.
![]() Madolche Messengelato | EARTH Warrior ★4 ATK 1600 / DEF 1000 |
Burning Nova [R] | |
When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. When this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Madolche" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You must control a face-up Beast-Type "Madolche" monster to activate and to resolve this effect. |
If Madolche Messengelato is Special Summoned and you control a Beast-Type “Madolche” monster (Hootcake or Mewfeuille), it allows you to add a “Madolche” Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. Use Messengelato’s effect to add the Field Spell to your hand.
![]() Psychic Wheeleder | EARTH Psychic ★3 ATK 600 / DEF 0 |
Dimension of the Wizards [UR]
If you control a Level 3 monster other than "Psychic Wheeleder", you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) in Defense Position. You can only Special Summon "Psychic Wheeleder" once per turn this way. If this card is sent to the GY as Synchro Material: You can target 1 monster on the field with less ATK than the Synchro Monster that used this card as material; destroy it. You can only use this effect of "Psychic Wheeleder" once per turn. |
You can Special Summon Psychic Wheeleder when you control Mewfeuille or Hootcake. Since Mewfeuille and Hootcake usually Special Summon Messengelato, you have the option of making level-6 or level-7 Synchros. Keep in mind this puts monsters in your graveyard which interferes with Puddincess' stat boost. However, the synchro materials in your graveyard can be used as cost for Hootcake's effect.
A full combo with Hootcake and Wheeleder on hand would go something like this:
![]() Madolche Puddingcess | EARTH Fairy ★5 ATK 1000 / DEF 1000 |
Burning Nova [SR] | |
If this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: Shuffle this card into the Deck. While you have no monsters in your Graveyard, this card gains 800 ATK and DEF. After damage calculation, when this card battles an opponent's monster: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy that target. |
Madolche Puddingcess is a Level 5 monster with pretty low base stats. Even with no monsters in your graveyard, her ATK boost only pushes her up to 1800 ATK. You use Hootcake to Special Summon Puddingcess from your Deck by banishing Dark Verger (What Grows in the Graveyard), it will have 1800 ATK and DEF, which goes up to 2300 ATK and DEF with Madolche Chateau. You can also Special Summon Madolche Puddingcess from your hand using Mewfeuille.
The best part about Puddingcess is her free removal effect, but even this is quite slow. Only being activated after you battle leaves Puddingcess vulnerable to all forms of disruption like Fiendish Chain and Paleozoic Canadia. If you do manage to pull it off, use this effect to get rid of your opponent’s back row or of any threat on the field.
![]() Ancient Pixie Dragon | DARK Dragon ★7 ATK 2100 / DEF 3000 |
Truth Universe [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters After resolving a Field Spell Card that was activated during your turn: Draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Ancient Pixie Dragon" once per turn. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Attack Position monster on the field; destroy that target. There must be a face-up Field Spell Card on the field to activate and to resolve this effect. |
Ancient Pixie Dragon works well in most Field Spell reliant decks. The activation of the Field Spell lets you draw a card, recouping the resources spent on making Ancient Pixie Dragon. And since decks like Madolche want their Field Spell out earlier, you can immediately make use of Ancient Pixie Dragon's free removal effect.
![]() Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier | WATER Sea Serpent ★6 ATK 2300 / DEF 1400 |
Aerial Assault [UR] | |
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters You can discard any number of cards to the GY, then target the same number of cards your opponent controls; return those cards to the hand. You can only use this effect of "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" once per turn. |
With Chateau active, Madolche decks will practically always have their hand full with monsters. You can make use of this large amount of resources by discarding them as cost for Brionac and clearing your opponent's field. This makes Brionac the best Synchro to make when you are ready to OTK your opponent.
![]() HTS Psyhemuth | EARTH Psychic ★6 ATK 2400 / DEF 1800 |
Valhalla Calling [SR] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters After damage calculation, when this card battles an opponent's monster: You can banish that monster, also banish this card. |
Psyhemuth removes monsters that Brionac and Zeta cannot, which are monsters who are immune to targeting. This also bypassing floating effects that require the monster to be destroyed or "sent to the graveyard". However, this removal is quite costly because you essentially use up two monsters and an Extra Deck slot.
![]() Naturia Barkion | EARTH Dragon ★6 ATK 2500 / DEF 1800 |
Selection Box Vol. 03 [UR]
1 EARTH Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner EARTH monsters During either player's turn, when a Trap Card is activated: You can banish 2 cards from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. This card must be face-up on the field to activate and to resolve this effect. |
Barkion helps with this deck's lack of protection by negating disruptive Trap cards. Barkion's effect cost also keeps your graveyard free of monsters, maintaining Puddingcess' ATK boost.
![]() PSY-Framelord Zeta | LIGHT Psychic ★7 ATK 2500 / DEF 1800 |
Future Horizon [R] | |
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls in face-up Attack Position; banish both that monster and this card from the field, but return them in your next Standby Phase. If this card is in your Graveyard: You can target 1 other "PSY-Frame" card in your Graveyard; return this card to the Extra Deck, and if you do, add that target to your hand. |
Zeta is a good way to get rid of an opponent's boss monster until you have some way of dealing with it. Banish Zeta and your opponent's boss monster until your next turn, and keep doing this whenever they come back. Then when you have another removal effect ready, use it to get rid of the boss monster. Remember to leave an empty monster zone for Zeta to come back to.
![]() Samurai Destroyer | EARTH Machine ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 1400 |
Dark Dimension [R] | |
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card battles an opponent's monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step, also that opponent's monster has its effects negated during the Battle Phase only. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can target 1 Machine monster in your GY; Special Summon it. |
Samurai Destroyer is a good beater with protection while it battles. Additionally he negates the effects of the monster he battles, stopping the monster's self stat boosts and floating effects.
Starting the Duel with a copy of Dark Verger in your Graveyard allows you to activate Madolche Hootcake’s effect without any prior setup.

Necrovalley on its own can shut down your entire strategy. Preventing your Madolches from recycling themselves and preventing you from using Hootcake's effect.
This deck lacks any form of protection. Because of this it relies on generic backrow to stop your opponent from using their own disruption.
A lot of your recycling potential comes from your Field Spell. If Chateau gets outed you lose your fast recycling engine and also the boost that turns your monsters into decent beaters.
![]() Sphere Kuriboh | DARK Fiend ★1 ATK 300 / DEF 200 |
The Ultimate Rising [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon. |
![]() Karma Cut | Normal Trap |
Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish that target, then banish all cards with the same name as that monster from your opponent's Graveyard. |
![]() Raigeki Break | Normal Trap |
Soul of Resurrection [UR]
Discard 1 card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. |
