How to Use

Scrap Recycler & Crystron Sulfefnir

When it’s Normal Summoned, Scrap Recycler allows you to send a Machine-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. Normal Summon Scrap Recycler and “Foolish Burial” Crystron Sulfefnir. You can then Special Summon Crystron Sulfefnir from your Graveyard (or your hand, if you open directly with it) in Defense Position by discarding another “Crystron” card. Target Crystron Sulfefnir with its own effect and Special Summon Crystron Smiger from your Deck.

Crystron Smiger & Crystron Citree

Crystron Smiger allows you target a face-up card you control, destroy it and then Special Summon a “Crystron” Tuner monster directly from your Deck. You can target Crystron Sminger with its own effect and then Special Summon Crystron Citree. During your opponent’s Main Phase or Battle Phase, Crystron Citree will allow you to Special Summon a non-Tuner monster from your Graveyard and then Synchro Summon a Machine-Type monster using only the monster you have Special Summoned and Crystron Citree as Synchro Materials. If you Synchro Summon using Crystron Citree’s effect, the Synchro Materials are banished instead of being sent to the Graveyard.

You can use Crystron Citree’s effect to Special Summon Crystron Smiger, Synchro Summon Crystron Ametrix (Level 5) and change all face-up Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls to Defense Position, preventing them from attacking you.

Alternatively, you can use Smiger’s effect to Special Summon Crystron Rion. During your opponent’s Main Phase or Battle Phase, Crystron Rion will allow you to target one of your banished non-Tuner monsters, Special Summon it and then Synchro Summon a Machine-Type monster using only the monster you have Special Summoned and Crystron Rion as Synchro Materials.

You can target a Crystron Smiger you have previously used as Synchro Material and Synchro Summon Powered Inzektron during your opponent’s turn. During the turn it has been Synchro Summoned, Powered Inzektron can’t be destroyed by battle or card effect and it also prevents you from taking any damage for the rest of the turn, making it particularly annoying to deal with for a deck like Koa'ki Meiru, even before Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru is actually Semi-Limited.

Psychic Wheeleder

Instead of leaving Scrap Recycler on the field after you’ve used it to send Sulfefnir to the Graveyard, you can utilize it as Synchro Material. Special Summon Psychic Wheeleder from your hand in Defense Position and Synchro Summon Powered Inzektron or Stardust Charge Warrior. Alternatively, you can use Psychic Wheeleder, Crystron Rion and Scrap Recycler to Synchro Summon Crystron Quariongandrax or Vermillion Dragon Mech. You can also use Level Duplication in order to facilitate Summoning Quariongandrax.

If Psychic Wheeleder is sent to the Graveyard as Synchro Material, it allows you to target a monster on the field with less ATK than the Synchro Monster you have Summoned and destroyed it.

Now, you could run Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth in order to be able to destroy Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En and Dragon Spirit of White, but Gaia is not a Machine-Type monster, which means you wouldn’t be able to Summon it via Crystron Citree’s or Rion’s effect, and your opponent could easily prevent Shi En, which is arguably the most problematic one of the two monsters I’ve mentioned, from being destroyed by banishing Secret Six Samurai - Fuma from their Graveyard or by destroying another “Six Samurai” monster they control.

Crystron Quariongandrax

Quariongandrax is definitely not as easy to bring out as Ametrix, but it’s also the type of card that can completely turn a Duel around. If Quariongandrax is Synchro Summoned, you can target monsters your opponent controls and/or in their Graveyard up to the number of Synchro Materials used for its Synchro Summon and straight out banish them.

Yes, you can get rid of all monsters on your opponent’s side of the field with a single card and then attack them directly for 3000 damage. If that wasn’t fair and balanced enough already if this Synchro Monster is destroyed, you can target a banished monster and Special Summon it to your side of the field. Enjoy taking down your opponent with their own monsters.

Additional Notes

Skills

[Skill] descriptionUser
Beatdown!
This turn, the Atk of all Level 5 or higher face-up monsters on your field increases by the number of monsters of Level 5 or higher on your field times 300.
Jack Atlas
Jack Atlas

With a single other Level 5 or higher monster on your side of the field, Crystron Ametrix would reach 3100 ATK, which is enough to beat Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon (without Ancient Gear Castle). Since Crystron Sulfefnir is Level 5 and it’s so easy to bring back every turn, you will not struggle to get over most high ATK monsters.

Level Duplication will facilitate Summoning Crystron Quariongandrax and Black Rose Dragon. You can Normal Summon Scrap Recycler, send Sulfefnir to the GY, Special Summon Psychic Wheeleder from your hand, change the Level of one of your monsters to 4 using Rosenix, wipe the board with Black Rose Dragon or simply force your opponent to activate Treacherous Trap Hole and then Special Summon Sulfefnir from your Graveyard by discarding Rosenix, destroy it, Special Summon Smiger, destroy it, Special Summon Citree and then wait for your opponent’s turn to Synchro Summon Ametrix.

Weaknesses

  • Synchro Summoning is quite easy to prevent if you’re on the play. I’ve already mentioned Treacherous Trap Hole, but that’s certainly not the only card your opponent could use in order to stop you.
  • You can’t Special Summon Crystron Sulfefnir by discarding another copy of it, you need another “Crystron” card in your hand. Although it’s not going to happen that often, there is a chance that you are not going to have anything to discard for Sulfefnir.
  • Being able to Special Summon Ametrix during your opponent’s turn can prevent your opponent from OTKing you, but, if they force the activation of Citree’s effect with a card like Snipe Hunter before Special Summoning any monster, there is nothing you can really do.

This deck is as annoying to duel as Spellbooks

Much versatality and consistence, like the way this archetype's acting

Aura dolphin is the real MVP here.

How to play this deck? I quit the TCG during Arc-v era so i'm unfamiliar with this archetype

Basically, you want to synchro summon on your opponent’s turn to disrupt them

Big Brain deck 30days ago Reply
It's quite a big brain deck. I'm playing it and I love it.
:)
Very competitive and you don't really need 3 UR fulfefnir, I think 1 or 2 are pretty much OK

I tried it with 1 its working but 2 is definitly better and more consistant

this deck is bugged, the effects of the tuners to special summon in your oponenent's turn can't be used.
<< Anonymous(ValleCula)

That’s the sad part of not having synchro tuners yet and they’re other trap.

This is an inaccurate statement
You have to manipulate your gy hand and field to ensure you can summon it
Their trap card allows to lvl 9 synchro easily

It's not.
"Essentially you can't Summon Quariongandrax via their effect because it requires at least 3 Synchro Materials."
You can only Summon a Synchro that requires 2 materials using their effects.

yeah I realized(read the effect again) it after I posted, it said it had to be using the monster summoned by their own effect and only that 1. So it couldn't make their own lv 9 on opponents turn to disrupt (no synergy) so I thought they were bugged.
Frost
Just put Quariongandrax in a 3 star psychic deck and you've got yourself a badass removal

Subterrors have been beatable since they were released.

I couldn't care less if they modify the requirements to activate such skill; it's nothing relevant for me, I don't see anything broken there, but more importantly, the deck will remain playable without Umbra & Lumis.

You think the skill is abused because you are terrible at this game. Period, that's the bottom line.
