You can discard Glife the Phantom Bird to add a copy of Golden Castle of Stromberg from your Deck to your hand. When Normal or Special Summoned, Glife the Phantom Bird allows you to target and destroy a card in your opponent’s Spell & Trap Zone.
Unfortunately, since Golden Castle of Stromberg prevents you from Normal Summoning the turn you Special Summon a monster from your Deck, you are rarely going to activate this effect.
Once per turn, this Field Spell allows you to Special Summon a monster that specifically lists “Golden Castle of Stromberg it in its card text from your Deck. You can use this effect to Special Summon Prinzessin, which is the reason why, despite the fact that it’s supposedly the main monster of the deck, we are only running two copies of it.
As I mentioned, if you do use Golden Castle’s effect to Special Summon a monster from your Deck, you can’t Normal Summon during that turn and you can’t activate another Golden Castle of Stromberg to Special Summon another monster either.
If an opponent's monster declares an attack while there’s a Golden Castle of Stromberg face-up on your side of the field, that monster is destroyed and your opponent takes damage equal to half its ATK. Since this is a Continuous Effect, Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon is not able to prevent it, but the it’s also true that the Field Spell does not negate the attack, which means that, if your opponent has an Ancient Gear Fortress and Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon was Summoned during that turn, then the monster will not be destroyed and the attack will go through. However, Armades, Keeper of Boundaries is able to prevent the destructive effect of Golden Castle since it can prevent the activation of Monster, Spell or Trap's effect until the end of the damage step.
During your Standby Phase, Golden Castle of Stromberg will banish the top ten cards of your Deck face-down, which is definitely a lot when you consider that the maximum amount of cards you can have in your Deck is 30 (35 with Grandpa’s Cards). If you can’t pay the cost, Golden Castle of Stromberg is automatically destroyed and no card is banished.
You could run more than 20 cards just to be able to keep Golden Castle of Stromberg on the field for more turns, but, since we have three copies of it and three cards that can search it, there’s no need for that: if you pay the maintenance cost of your Field Spell, you are likely going to banish important cards like Prinzessin and Pumpkin Carriage from your Deck.
If Prinzessin is Normal or Special Summoned, it allows you to Special Summon a Pumpkin Carriage from your hand or Deck and then, if Golden Castle of Stromberg is on the field, you can equip a “Glass Slippers” to Prinzessin from your Deck.
A few things to note here:
Prinzessin’s effect triggers when it’s Normal Summoned, which means that, even if you end up drawing both copies of it, you can still Special Summon Pumpkin Carriage and then equip Glass Slippers;
Pumpkin Carriage can be Special Summoned from the hand, so, once again, it doesn’t really matter if you draw it;
Prinzessin will allow you to equip Glass Slippers from the Deck even if your opponent is the only one with a Golden Castle of Stromberg in the Field Zone.
Pumpkin Carriage allows Prinzessin to attack directly and it prevents your opponent from targeting or destroying Golden Castle of Stromberg with card effects.
Sealed Tombs Until the end of the opponent's next turn, neither player can banish cards from the Graveyard or Special Summon monsters from the Graveyard. This skill can only be used once per Duel.
The deck is already pretty consistent thanks to Glife the Phantom Bird, but being able to reset a bad opening hand is always nice. Skipping your first Draw Phase is unfortunately pretty heavy on this deck.
Ancient Gear Reactor Dragon bypasses Golden Castle of Stromberg’s effect with Ancient Gear Fortress on the field. Diamond Core of Koa'ki Meiru will also protect “Koa'ki Meiru” from Golden Castle of Stromberg.
Pumpkin Carriage protects Golden Castle of Stromberg, but nothing prevents your opponent from flipping your Prinzessin face-down with Paleozoic Canadia or Floodgate Trap Hole. Without a Hey, Trunade! available, there are a lot of things that could prevent you from OTKing your opponent.
If Prinzessin’s Type is changed (DNA Surgery), Glass Slippers will lower its ATK instead of increasing it.
