Probably becuz it came with TONS of support for many different archtypes as GENEX, XX Saber, and the awesome BEWD. Black Brutdrago, Hallucigenia, OTTD are really useful cards as well since they are very versatile and can be played in many decks.

How good are Genex now? I really like machines, so Warriors, fiends or dragons don't make an appeal to me.

Eh.... so, so. You'll need to get other Genex from the other packs to make this deck work properly.
The archetype itself doesn't have much synergy, not many advantages against other decks but not many disadvantages either.

scrap iron statue is severely underrated! I have stopped Yubel, Amazoness, Deep Sea, Vampire, and U.A. decks with that card. the fact it's recyclable means you can also use treacherous trap hole as well

The only one it can't seem to stop is the trap where the player that pays 300 LP's whenever they discard a card to the graveyard for each card

It's B because of the potential with the Blue-Eyes stuff and X-Saber stuff. Trust me, they'll get even better in the future once we get more of their cards.

Except we probably won't.
Much like with any other archetype released before this box, it will get abandoned and won't receive any future support, forcing you to constantly build new decks instead of upgrading existing ones.
It's the perfect money-making strategy.

It is also in japanese on crunchyroll. Idk know if they have all of 5Ds, though. And they have commercials if you don't subscribe to them or get their free trial.

I guess I'll never regret buying this box for it has come with such amazing cards as Hallucigenia / Offerings to the Doomed (and also I love the Blue-Eyes archtype a lot ) :)!

I have been trying to build the blue-eyes deck from this since I also love them and still remember the decks. I've had pretty good luck getting the cards I want from this box.

Agree with OP, XX Saber Hyunlei is probably one of the best investments since it can completely remove backrow, yep, all traps and all spells ! crazy !
