When a Spell/Trap Card that is already face-up on your opponent's side of the field activates its effect: Destroy that card, also, after that, Set this card face-down instead of sending it to the Graveyard. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Junk" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon it in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Scrap-Iron Statue" once per turn.

I'd like it but yeah as that other comment says I'd rather have it at multiple copies.

Idk why Konami hasn't released the card properly battle traps have been obsolete for a long time and stall decks are almost d e a d (even if they weren't there are by far better stall options out there)

.....this card isn't even in the anime.

The statue yes, but not the card. And the statue doesn't even exist until like, season 3 of 5Ds? Don't remember the exact episode but it's for sure way far from early.

Wow, what the hell is this... this piece of crap simply permanently stops me from activating any field spells at all. Jesus Christ... why the hell did they make it available for players.

It hits a few Field Spells, like Mausoleum of the Emperor, Fusion Gate and Fusion Recycling Plant, but it isn't going to do crap to a card like Toon Kingdom, Luminous Spark or Zombie World. I think Fire King Island is the only meta-relevant Field Spell it even hits at the moment. Maybe Aroma Garden, not sure how common Aromages are ATM.

I confused the effect when I made this comment. I thought it freely destroyed any face up s/t forever, but it’s just the ones that activate an effect when already face up. Still annoying but not as much.

Doesn't work because the banishing happens in the damage step, so a normal trap cannot be activated
