How to Use

Aleister the Invoker & Invocation

Aleister the Invoker
Aleister the Invoker
DARK Spellcaster ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1800
Dark Dimension [UR]
(Quick Effect): You can send this card from your hand to the GY, then target 1 Fusion Monster you control; it gains 1000 ATK/DEF until the end of this turn. If this card is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up: You can add 1 "Invocation" from your Deck to your hand.

When Aleister the Invoker is Normal Summoned or flipped face-up, you can add 1 “Invocation” from your Deck to your hand. Invocation is a Spell Card that allows you to Fusion Summon a Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck using monsters from your hand as Fusion Material. Yes, you can even use Invocation to Summon an Elemental HERO Brave Neos.

Invocation
Invocation
Normal Spell
Dark Dimension [UR]
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand as Fusion Material. If Summoning an "Invoked" Fusion Monster this way, you can also banish monsters from your field and/or either player's GY as Fusion Material. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 of your banished "Aleister the Invoker"; shuffle this card into the Deck, and if you do, add that card to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Invocation" once per turn.

If you use Invocation to Summon an “Invoked” Fusion Monster, you can banish monsters from your field and/or either player’s Graveyard as fusion material. Use the Aleister you Normal Summoned as fusion material to get him in your banish zone. Then recover the banished Aleister by returning Invocation in your graveyard to the deck.

You are primarily going to use Invocation to Summon Invoked Purgatrio, to deal a ton of battle damage. For this, you can use Volcanic Shell or Crimson Fox as fusion material alongside Aleister.

Caliga is also very useful if you need to banish a DARK monster from your opponent's graveyard, or if you go against a combo-heavy opponent that relies on a lot of effects. You can potentially shut them down very hard simply by having Caliga on the field despite its low ATK and DEF.

Keeper of Dragon Magic

Keeper of Dragon Magic
Keeper of Dragon Magic
DARK Dragon ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 1300
Master of Chaos [SR]
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can discard 1 card; add 1 "Polymerization" Normal Spell Card or "Fusion" Normal Spell Card from your Deck to your hand. You can reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck; Special Summon 1 of the Fusion Materials whose name is specifically listed on that monster from your GY, in face-down Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Keeper of Dragon Magic" once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Fusion Monsters, the turn you activate either of this card's effects.

Keeper of Dragon Magic is a very good card in an Invoked Neos deck on Duel Links. Its first effect allows you to search for Polymerization or other Fusion Normal Spell Cards to help you bring out your Fusion monsters more easily. Its second effect allows you to Special Summon one of the Fusion Materials needed for a Fusion Monster you have in your Extra Deck, helping you to quickly set up a Fusion Summon.

Additionally, Keeper of Dragon Magic is a Level 4 Dragon monster, which can be used as material for the Invoked Fusion Monsters. This means that it can help you to quickly summon Fusion monsters like Invoked Caliga.

Fire Reload

Volcanic Shell
Volcanic Shell
FIRE Pyro ★1
ATK 100 / DEF 0
Primal Burst [R]
Once per turn: You can pay 500 Life Points; add 1 "Volcanic Shell" from your Deck to your hand. This card must be in the Graveyard to activate and to resolve this effect.

Get Volcanic Shell in the graveyard by milling it with Neos Fusion or discarding it for cost. You can then use its graveyard effect to fetch more Volcanic Shell, while the Shell in your graveyard is for summoning Purgatrio. This gives you a steady supply of resources for discard cost.

[Skill] descriptionUser
Fire Reload
Can be used if you only have FIRE Pyro-Type monsters in your hand. Return all cards in your hand to your Deck and shuffle it. Then draw the same number of cards that you returned to your Deck. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.
Axel Brodie
Axel Brodie

Use up or set every other card you have onhand until only Volcanic Shell is left. Your skill will then let you cycle Shell back into the deck to draw a new card. After that you can fetch Volcanic Shell again if you have a copy in your graveyard.

Neos Fusion

Elemental HERO Neos
Elemental HERO Neos
LIGHT Warrior ★7
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Jaden Yuki [UR]
Special Pack Vol. 02 [UR]
KC Grand Tournament Celebration Campaign [UR Glossy]
A new Elemental HERO has arrived from Neo-Space! When he initiates a Contact Fusion with a Neo-Spacian, his unknown powers are unleashed.
Neos Fusion
Neos Fusion
Normal Spell
Neos Fusion [SR]
Special Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that lists exactly 2 monsters as material, including “Elemental HERO Neos”, by sending those monsters from your hand, Deck, or field, ignoring its Summoning conditions. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters. If a Fusion Monster(s) you control that lists “Elemental HERO Neos” as material would be destroyed by battle or card effect, or shuffled into the Extra Deck by its own effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead.

Use Neos Fusion to Special Summon Elemental HERO Brave Neos from your Extra Deck by sending Elemental HERO Neos and a Level 4 or lower Effect Monster from your hand, field or Deck to the Graveyard. This is such an important play that a number of low-leveled monsters are in this deck only because they synergize with Neos Fusion. (i.e. Crimson Fox, Bacon Saver, Volcanic Shell)

After this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of the turn, so make sure you activate Invocation before using Neos Fusion.

You can banish Neos Fusion from your Graveyard to prevent Elemental HERO Brave Neos from being destroyed by battle or card effect.

Techs

Super Polymerization
Super Polymerization
Quick Spell
Starter/Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
Discard 1 card; Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from either field as Fusion Material. Neither player can activate cards or effects in response to this card's activation.

Super Polymerization is a powerful card in any Fusion-based deck. Its effect allows the player to Fusion Summon a monster using materials from either player's field, bypassing any restriction on the type or attribute of the materials. This can be especially useful against decks that rely heavily on a specific type or attribute. Additionally, its effect prevents the opponent from responding with any card or effect, giving the player a clear advantage. Super Polymerization can be a game-changer when used correctly.

Ice Dragons Prison
Ice Dragons Prison
Normal Trap
Selection Box Vol.06 [UR]
Target 1 monster in your opponent's GY; Special Summon it to your field, but its effects are negated, then, you can banish 1 monster from both players' fields that have the same Type as each other. You can only activate 1 "Ice Dragon's Prison" per turn.

Ice Dragon's Prison allows you to potentially take control of a powerful monster from your opponent's graveyard while also banishing a monster from both players' fields that have the same Type. This can be particularly useful if your opponent is relying on monsters with the same Type for their strategy. However, it does require a monster in your opponent's graveyard to be effective, and it doesn't remove the targeted monster from play, so your opponent could potentially retrieve it later.

Divine Wrath
Divine Wrath
Counter Trap
Valkyrie's Rage [UR]
When a monster effect is activated: Discard 1 card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that monster.

You can use the advantage of having more cards due to Stratos or Volcanic Shell's effect to be used as ammo to negate your opponent's monster. You can discard a second copy of Neos Fusion if you can't make a second Brave Neos to get a second protection effect from the grave.

Alternatively, you can use Ultimate Providence as a cheaper option. The main difference is that Divine Wrath lets you discard any card, while Ultimate Providence requires same card type as the cost.

Karma Cut
Karma Cut
Normal Trap
Arena of Sanctuary [SR]
Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish that target, then banish all cards with the same name as that monster from your opponent's Graveyard.

A strong monster removal card since it banishes them, preventing certain effects that can happen when destroyed or being in the grave. Also comes with an added benefit that it can banish the other copies too, which is situationally useful when it works.

Ultimate Providence
Ultimate Providence
Counter Trap
Crimson Kingdom [R]
When a Spell/Trap Card, or monster effect, is activated: Discard the same type of card (Monster, Spell, or Trap); negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.

It's a cheaper or budget version card compared to Divine Wrath. The main difference is that this requires the same card type to discard. But this can potentially negate other dangerous cards from your opponent, while Divine Wrath lets you discard anything but only stops monster effects.

Extra Deck

Invoked Purgatrio
Invoked Purgatrio
FIRE Fiend ★8
ATK 2300 / DEF 2000
Aerial Assault [UR]
"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 FIRE monster
This card gains 200 ATK for each card your opponent controls. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.

Inherent ATK boost, multi-attack, and piercing effects combined in one monster makes for a very potent damage dealer. Attack aggressively after summoning Purgatrio.

Elemental HERO Brave Neos
Elemental HERO Brave Neos
LIGHT Warrior ★7
ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Neos Fusion [UR]
"Elemental HERO Neos" + 1 Level 4 or lower Effect Monster Must be Fusion Summoned. Gains 100 ATK for each “Neo-Spacian” and “HERO” monster in your GY. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand that specifically lists the card “Elemental HERO Neos” in its text.

Brave Neos is used as a beater, his base 2500 ATK and slight ATK boost make him quite good at this. And the ease of summoning him gives you good field presence without any effort.

The search effect lets you fetch another copy of Neos Fusion to make another beater. If you only have 1 copy of Brave Neos in the deck, the second copy can be discarded with something like Karma Cut or Divine Wrath so that you get a second protection effect for Brave Neos.

Invoked Magellanica
Invoked Magellanica
EARTH Rock ★8
ATK 3000 / DEF 3300
Dark Dimension [SR]
"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 EARTH monster

As High Stat Invoked Fusion Beater with 3000 ATK and 3300 DEF. It will become 4000 ATK with Aleister the Invoker's effect.

Invoked Caliga
Invoked Caliga
DARK Beast ★4
ATK 1000 / DEF 1800
Dark Dimension [R]
"Aleister the Invoker" + 1 DARK monster
If a player's monster effect attempts to activate, none of that player's monsters can activate their effects for the rest of this turn while this card is face-up on the field. Each player can attack with only 1 monster during each Battle Phase.

Caliga is a very effective floodgate against decks with a ton of monster effects. Specifically, you can make Caliga when facing a Blackwing deck using their graveyard setup as material. Blackwings heavily rely on their monster effects to spam the field, so Caliga can greatly slow them down.

Knightmare Mermaid
Knightmare Mermaid
WATER Fiend
ATK 1000 / DEF 1
Card Trader [UR]
1 "Knightmare" monster, except "Knightmare Mermaid"
If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card; Special Summon 1 "Knightmare" monster from your Deck, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Mermaid" once per turn. Monsters on the field lose 1000 ATK/DEF, unless they are co-linked.

Used as LINK Summon Tech by using Knightmare Corruptor Iblee that is special summoned by the opponent to your field due to her own effect. Additionally, its ATK/DEF reduction effect can also be useful in disrupting the opponent's plays.

Knightmare Phoenix
Knightmare Phoenix
FIRE Fiend
ATK 1900 / DEF 2
Future Circuit [SR]
2 monsters with different names
If this card is Link Summoned: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it, then, if this card was co-linked when this effect was activated, you can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Knightmare Phoenix" once per turn. Co-linked monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle.

A Link 2 Knightmare Monster owns Backrow Removal Effect by discarding 1 card (this effect can combo with Dotscaper). Phoenix's co-linked effect will allows you to have 1 Card Draw and Battle Destruction Protection.

Other Cards Option

Ritual Beast Engine

Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda
Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda
WIND Psychic ★4
ATK 1600 / DEF 1800
Spirit of the Beast [UR]
If this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect): You can Special Summon 1 "Ritual Beast" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. You can only Special Summon "Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda(s)" once per turn.

Crash Winda into an enemy monster or have your opponent destroy her to get a free Fusion monster onboard.

Ritual Beast Ulti-Apelio
Ritual Beast Ulti-Apelio
WIND Pyro ★6
ATK 2600 / DEF 400
Spirit of the Beast [UR]
1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster + 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster
Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (You do not use "Polymerization".) If this card attacks, it is unaffected by other cards' effects until the end of the Damage Step. During either player's turn: You can return this card you control to the Extra Deck, then target 2 of your banished monsters (1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster and 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster); Special Summon them in Defense Position.

Used for offense similar to Purgatrio. While Purgatrio excels at dealing massive damage, Ulti-Apelio is more of safe offensive option if your opponent has backrow.

Ritual Beast Ulti-Pettlephin
Ritual Beast Ulti-Pettlephin
WIND Aqua ★6
ATK 200 / DEF 2800
Spirit of the Beast [R]
1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster + 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster
Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Cannot be destroyed by card effects. During either player's turn: You can return this card you control to the Extra Deck, then target 2 of your banished monsters (1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster and 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster); Special Summon them in Defense Position.

Ulti-Pettlphin is a good defensive option due to its high DEF and destruction immunity. Summon it during the opponent's turn to stop their OTK.

Elemental HERO Stratos

Elemental HERO Stratos
Elemental HERO Stratos
WIND Warrior ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 300
Shark Fang [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 03 [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects.
● You can destroy Spell/Trap Cards on the field, up to the number of "HERO" monsters you control, except this card.
● Add 1 "HERO" monster from your Deck to your hand.

You can use this to search for another copy of itself when you can't really make a play so that you don't lose card advantage. Don't search for Neos since it works better if it's used from the deck with Neos Fusion.

If you already have Brave Neos on your field, this can be a handy spell/trap removal too. And since it's a level 4, you can use it to make a rank 4 Xyz with Aleister, or Caliga since it's not a normal summon.

Sangan & Sanwitch

When using Keeper of Dragon Magic's effect, reveal Sanwitch to revive Sangan. With this, you get a continuous free source of searching as long as Keeper of Dragon Magic is alive. However, realistically you'll only get to use this once before Keeper of Dragon Magic is run over. Prioritize searching Aleister to get your Invoke Engine going, then your next priority is to fetch Volcanic Shell for discard cost.

Sangan
Sangan
DARK Fiend ★3
ATK 1000 / DEF 600
Gaia Genesis [UR]
Selection Box Vol. 01 Mini [UR]
If this card is sent from the field to the GY: Add 1 monster with 1500 or less ATK from your Deck to your hand, but you cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with that name for the rest of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Sangan" once per turn.
Sanwitch
Sanwitch
DARK Spellcaster ★6
ATK 2100 / DEF 1800
Antinomic Theory [N]
"Sangan" + "Witch of the Black Forest"

Techs

Mystical Space Typhoon
Mystical Space Typhoon
Quick Spell
Antinomic Theory [UR]
Selection Box Vol.03 Mini [UR]
Target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field; destroy that target.

Generally useful so you can more safely make your plays, especially if you need them to go off, like Aleister's effect.

Book of Moon
Book of Moon
Quick Spell
Chaotic Soldiers [UR]
Selection Box Vol.04 [UR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position.

Very versatile card since it can be used to disrupt your opponent or use it on your own monsters to prevent certain cards like Drowning Mirror Force, Karma Cut, etc.

Daigusto Emeral

Number 70: Malevolent Sin
Number 70: Malevolent Sin
DARK Insect ★4
ATK 2400 / DEF 1200
Photons of Galaxy [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; banish it until your opponent's next Standby Phase. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card attacked: You can make this card gain 300 ATK, and if you do, increase its Rank by 3.

Summon Malevolent Sin if you need a non-destruction form of removal. Malevolent Sin temporarily banishes a monster, possibly opening your opponent up for direct attacks. Another thing to note is that banishing an Xyz monster gets rid of all their Xyz materials.

Diamond Dire Wolf
Diamond Dire Wolf
EARTH Beast ★4
ATK 2000 / DEF 1200
Voltage of the Metal [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Beast, Beast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster you control and 1 other card on the field; destroy them.

Destroys itself along with an enemy card. Basically lets you sacrifice two level-4 monster for on-demand destruction of an enemy card.

Daigusto Emeral
Daigusto Emeral
WIND Rock ★4
ATK 1800 / DEF 800
Sign of Harpies [SR]
2 Level 4 monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then activate 1 of these effects.
● Target 3 monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle all 3 into the Deck, then draw 1 card.
● Target 1 non-Effect Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.

Daigusto Emeral can be used as a draw engine which also helps recycle the Volcanic Shells you dumped into the graveyard. The second effect can be used to revive Neos for a free beater.

Goodbye Keeper of Dragon Magic!
Gael
Yeah, I've been using this build but with no canadia and instead 2 Neos and 3 Providence. The problems I'm facing are DM decks and Aromages, those decks rely a lot on backrows and they can disrupt my plays by removing monsters or having 1 destruction per turn in the case of aromages. Maybe I'm having bad matchups but in these conditions the only way I can win against them is having cosmic cyclone ready. And deck with high attack mosters are a problem too, I'm not using the neo space version and my Brave Neos has usually 2600/2700 attack, the only comeback is Alistar.

This deck has a chance to brick, I have lost 4 times in a row too. Yes 3x CC is needed and I think Switcheroo suits this deck better as you will be paying LPs for Shells anyway, which gives card advantage and serves as discard costs. In my opinion your best beater is Purgatrio, Neos is just a by-product by milling shell into GY. Knowing when to use your counter trap and karma cut is vital though.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
If DM goes first and has circle + navigation ready, it can shut down many decks. There is nothing much you can do if you don't start with a CC, the same applies to other decks too. You might just have bad luck.
<< Anonymous
Gael Reply
yeah maybe I need to add another cc and leave only 1 invocation, this deck discards a lot and has LP cost for cc and Shells. Instead I will try the 20 card version without canadia and chain. I think aromages matchup is almost impossible to win if they manage to pull out the 3 continuous spell/trap card + the field spell. It's an infinite loop of LP gain, special summoning and destruction effect
Gael
Honestly I've been using this deck since KC started and I have barely a 50/50 win rate. It's not tier 1 at all, it's maybe tier 3, I've lost with it to Shiranui, Blackwings, DMs and even some Desperado decks I've been facing. I even lost a couple of times to Aromages (2 lost in 2 duels). Also you can't win against Witchcrafters but that deck is op and I've never won even using the decks mentioned against them. We must face reality, this deck has weak protection, not so good stats and no comeback. Also it has only one optimal play and requires you to discard a lot of cards. Like I said, tier 3 at best, switch it with DM.
