  • Great ATK stats.
  • Continues to gain more ATK per plant-type monster that was sent from the field to the graveyard.

  • Attack gain is slow and too small.

  • You can also use cards like Metalmorph and Super Rush Recklessly, to further amplify this monster’s ATK during Battle Phase.
  • Since most of the Plant-type monsters have EARTH attribute, the Field Spell Gaia Power can also be used to further augment all your Plant-type monsters ATK.

Chnage Opponent's Type

You can change your opponent’s monsters into Plant-types so that Gigantic Cephalotus will gain attack no matter what you destroy. You can do this with DNA Surgery or Ivy Shackles. You can also change your opponent’s to Plant-types if you can give them Naturia Pineapple.

The World Tree

Use this card alongside Gigantic Cephalotus to gain additional benefits when a Plant-type monster is destroy in either player’s field.

Plant Synergy

Marina, Princess of Sunflowers effect will destroy 1 opponent’s card each time a plant-type monster from your Field is sent to the Graveyard, this also increases Gigantic Cephalotus’ ATK power during the process.Botanical Girl’s effect can add 1 level 4 or below Plant-type monster from your Deck to your Hand, when it is sent from your Field to the Graveyard. Horseytail can be a good choice of synergy because, when it is destroyed and sent from your Field to the Graveyard, it can also Special Summon up to 2 plant-tokens to your opponent’s side of the Field to potentially clog their monster Field. Lord Poison can Special Summon 1 Plant-type monster from your Graveyard to the Field, when it was destroyed by Battle and sent to the Graveyard.

Since this monster potentially a good fit in beatdown decks, these are the support cards recommended to help you perform attacks more smoothly without hindrance from your opponent’s face-down counter-plays.

Cards like "DNA surgery" or "Ivy Shackles" can't work... no ATK gain happens
... Monsters must be a plant-type both on the field and in GY.
