Activate this card by targeting 1 Set Spell/Trap Card your opponent controls. Your opponent cannot activate the targeted card in response to this card's activation. While this card is face-up on the field, that Set card cannot be activated. All Beast-Warrior-Type monsters you control gain 100 ATK.
Locks down a designated Spell/Card from your opponent’s backrow.
Grants your Beast-Warrior Type monsters ATK bonus.
Potentially clogs your own backrow as well since it is a 1 card for 1 card lockdown basis.
Due to the current zone format, we are yet to see the full potential of Fire Fist monsters because their Spell/Traps potentially clogs your backrow while the trade-off benefit is not really worth it.
Overall, this card does not provide significant improvement to Fire Fist monsters, and even less flexibility in other decks. Current meta is still too fast paced for Fire Fist monsters, should they remain without any breakthrough.
As an individual Spell card, it may be comparable to cards such as Nobleman of Extermination to disrupt your opponent’s face-down Spell/Traps, there are better alternatives such as Cosmic Cyclone, which is a Quick-play Spell to banish opponent’s Spell/Trap cards thus being more versatile and does not clog your backrow.
Fire Fist monsters
These are the Fire Fist monsters that can synergize well with Fire Formation – Gyokkou.
I think this card is wildly under-rated.
Yes, it uses 1 slot but at the same time it blocks 1 opponent slot, AND the card it blocks can't be activated in response.
if used in a deck that doesn't relay heavily on the back row so you don't care much about clogging this card can be really strong.
Am i wrong?
Even with no beast warrior support this card is pretty strong. Not allowing you to chain is just powerful like anti magic arrows is. Might need to build a good beast warrior deck with this even without it its strong
