We'll probably get news once the tag duel event starts

There's a (supposed) leaked image with the content of the new box; generic dragon support (paving the way for galaxy eyes?) and some cards I can't recognize, especially a fusion monster that looks like a black and white dragon

    Not a surprise, really.

So, is this box a flop? Besides noble knights, that were already meta, did this box changed the meta in any way?

Are all decks supported here just fun and nothing else?
    << Anonymous(Kurama)
    Anonymous Reply
Ofc it changed the meta. It actually defined the meta by making noble knights from tier 2 almost tier 0 deck. In additio, it dethroned invoker after more than a year from tier 1. The bad news is that if upcoming book of moon fail to stop nk we will experience a new "nk era" just like it was "shiranui era" for many months.
    << Anonymous
    Anonymous Reply
Not really, people just exaggerated neos invoked, the deck di ed with the banlist not because NK, it just won 1 or 2 tournaments because took everyone by surprise.

It is true that pushed NK to tier 1, it was tier 2 but you still saw the deck frequently on the ladder anyways. Beyond that all other decks supported in this box flunked
    << Anonymous

Technically, Digital Bug did not flunk, it performs just about as mediocre as anyone expected it to be.

I've just come back to the game after a year off, and other than Karma Cut being in everything's deck, the meta is still all the same cards I recognise from 12 months ago. Did they just not release anything worth playing for an entire year?
    << Anonymous
    Anonymous Reply
People abuse the same card again and again, invoked neos is still alive. Lunalight, Blue eyes, Cyber Dragon, Blackwing, Ritual Beast are everywhere. We just need a bigger banlist.

The fact that hardly any Duel Links players see the potential in Rescue Rabbit, based both on how powerful it was in the TCG, and how its ability to establish rapid consistent board control even on turn one is... a real testament to how konami has trained duel link players to react to cards in a vacuum.

It's a free +1 that thins your deck by 2 cards. Only in duel links could people question if that's good, because it didn't come prepackaged with a rabbit themed boss monster.

Yeah, but by the time we get Links this box would be too outdated to even care about.

They probably would reprint UR cards already, including Rescue Rabbit, in newer and better box.

It has always been a popular line even before DL's existence, because Konami is wack, even for OCG/TCG.
