Soul Exchange Phoenix: deck recipe

This deck efficiently summons from Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys, while taking advantage of his effect to destroy all spell traps by destroying him. Duel, standby! is used to give you enough cards for the many combos of this deck.

Use Soul Exchange on an opponent's monster to be able to use it as tribute this turn. Summon Hand of Nephthys then activate her effect, using herself and your opponents monster as tribute you can special summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from hand or deck. You can also use Soul Exchange to tribute summon Goka, the Pyre of Malice if you don't have Hand of Nephthys on hand and you need to remove your opponent's monster from the field. Tokens summoned by Goka, the Pyre of Malice can also be used for Hand of Nephthys' effect.

Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is practically immune to destruction by card effects, as he revives himself during your next standby phase when destroyed this way. In addition he wipes all spell/trap cards on the field when revived with his own effect, allowing you to safely attack your opponent. It also doesn't matter who destroys him, so you can take advantage of his effect by destroying him with your own effects.

• Special summon Goka, the Pyre of Malice while Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is on the field. Goka, the Pyre of Malice will require you to destroy one of your fire monsters, so select Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys.
• When fire king avatar yaksha is destroyed and sent to the graveyard, he allows you to destroy a monster in your hand on field. Destroy Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys in your hand to special summon him your next standby phase.

Getting Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys destroyed by card effects is fine, and most of the time will even be to your advantage. But you gain nothing from having Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys destroyed by battle, so protect him from stringer monster's attack.

• Sphere Kuriboh can be activated from the hand therefore it would be a better choice for this deck than to add protection spell and traps which would most likely be destroyed by your Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys.
• Super Rush Headlong protects your monster from attacks by monsters of an attribute you declare. Helpful since most archtypes revolve around a single attribute, forcing your opponent to end the battle phase.
