During your next Standby Phase after this card was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. When you do: Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards on the field.
The most common way to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is by using Hand of Nephthys. By using this card combination, you can immediately summon it and you can destroy 1 of your opponent's monster.
Another way to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys is by using Fire King Avatar Yaksha or Fire King Island's effect. Both of them has the capability to destroy Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your hand. By doing this, Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys will be special summoned on your next Standby Phase and it will destroy all Spell and Traps on the field. You can use cards such as Murmur of the Forest, Gravelstorm or Magic Reflector to prevent Fire King Island's destruction due to Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys' effect, so monsters in your field will not get destroyed. You can also use the second effect of Fire King Island, which can be used to Special Summon Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys from your hand if you don't have a monster in the field.
These are very old comments. When phoenix was meta.
i see why people play phoenix. konami has made backrow insufferable in this game. matter of fact its not even the backrow itself. its the allowance of COPIES of certain cards. i dont have a problem with mirror walls, impenetrable attack, econ, floodgate, tribute to the doomed etc. my problem is that you can have 2 more copies of these cards. being bamboozled by a 1 of is fine, because i know it will never happen again. that card is in the graveyard. unless they pull some wild shit to get it back. but when i know for a fact ppl run 1 or 2 copies more copies of cards like this and that they only pulled it EARLY or opened up with it it makes me frustrated as fuck. this game has no penalty for playing cards. its like every card in this game is just expendable because you know you got multiple copies left in the deck. nobody thinks twice about how important a backrow is to use on lets say a monster that isnt really worth saving. people will pop a wall of d just to save dumb shit that is only problematic because of its attack stat. like seargent electro has a good effect but when all is said and done its a 1600 beater thats ONLY good with backrow. without backrow all it does it force your opponent to use their card when its targeted by electro THAT turn. otherwise it just gets beaten next turn by some 1800 random 4 star next turn. but ppl make that shit good cause of Econ and mirror wall etc
I was sick of seeing this card after it came out since everyone was running it. But now, I can see why it has gained some popularity back. So many duelists in ranked duels rely on their back row. And since it's a mini pack, it's easier to get. Newer duelists commonly run this deck.
IM IN LEGEND BUT I WATCHED A STREEET REPLAY FOR GEMS TWICE AND BOTH GAMES THEIR WAS A PHEONIX PLAYER BOTH GAMES WHY DO PPL RUN IT ITS BAD AND THEY NEVER GET OUT OF PLAT, HELL NAUTRIA GETS OUT BEFORE PHEONIX THIS SHIT GETS CUCKED BY FLOODGATE HAZY GBS AND CA...IT ONLY BEATS NINJAS
BC THESE PHEONIX PLAYERS ARE AFRAID OF BACKROW,THEY CAN'T TOLERATE OPPONENT HAVING BACKROW BC THEY ARE AFRAID TO DO ANYTHING,YOU CAN'T BLAME THESE INSECURE PEOPLE,THEY HAVE THEIR OWN TRAIT & THEY WOULD RATHER PLAY PHEONIX & STAY IN PLAT THAN TO GO UP THE LADDER BUT HAVE TO HAVE AN UNCOMFORTABLE FEELING EVERY DUEL COURTESY OF BACKROW PANAPHOBIA,GIVE THEM PROPS AT LEAST THEY DON'T PLAY CA
Yes, I'm a phoenix player and the reason is indeed because I don't want to deal with backrow BS. Also, back then, it was an easier deck to build than red-eyes zombie.
Also farming dawn of destiny gets you naturias, super rush headlong, tribute to the doomed. So it's all worthwhile to get all those from one pack and build a decent deck with it.
Wait until konami release Fire King High Avatar Garunix. Perfect Combo!!!
