Evaluation

RatingB+

Pros

  • Great stats.
  • Wipes your opponent’s board upon summoning.
  • Good protection.

Cons

  • Very costly to summon.

Tips

Summoning

Future Fusion uses materials from your deck, making the cost much lighter. Additionally it can be used to pitch Spellcasters to your graveyard. Magicalized Fusion Lets you use Spellcasters in your graveyard as material for summoning Quintet Magician.

Chocolate Magician Girl

Good at supporting Spellcaster decks because of her draw effect and generic Magician Girl effect. The draw effect also loads your graveyard with Spellcaster monsters to use for Magicalized Fusion.

Gravekeeper

Gravekeepers are quite good at loading the graveyard with Gravekeeper’s Spy, Gravekeeper’s Nobleman, and Gravekeeper’s Recruiter. They are an archetype of all Spellcaster monsters so both Future Fusion and Magicalized Fusion can be good. However Necrovalley can interfere with activating Magicalized Fusion.

So it says it can't be destroyed by card effects... Apparently that doesn't extend to banishment by card effects. I'm sick of duel links

Pay to win a card that is just a super rare and you actually need just one? not ot even mention that it only needs magicians mirror which is just a rare card. And with just 1 box roll of dark dimension box you have already a deck. You have missunderstood the term p2w.

Pretty much any deck that uses it requires pretty big spending

correct me if I'm wrong, but it may be possible to cause your opponent's Quitet to miss the activation timing for the field wiping.

When your opponent fusion summons Quintet, if you chain a card effect in response to it being summoned instead of it activating his effect then Quintet won't activate the wiping.

Correct or wrong? Because I did something like that against an opponent in my previous game.

Anonymous Reply
no, maybe your opponent didn't use 5 materials with different names
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Actually he did use 5 different spellcasters from the graveyard. But right after Quintet was special summoned I activated 2 quick play spells in response to Quintet's S.Summon. First was Majesty with Eyes of Blue, second was Legacy Clash.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Oups, mistake, he did use 2 similar cards.

I guess there is abosolutely no way for it to miss the timing.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
A card only misses the timing if the effect says "when." If it says "if", it can't miss the timing. If it says "when", then if a card is activated right after the card effect is triggered, then it will miss the timing.
Anonymous
That's funny reading that; very costly to summon, lol
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Yeah... not costly at all, since we can use monsters on the graveyard as materials. Also a lot of spellcaster archetypes can fill graveyard very quickly.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Worst point is, using 5 monsters as materials isn't even a cost but an advantage for gy preparation.

Many other decks have a hard time sending those monsters to the gy from hand or for banishing them.

Now this is the ultimate wizard in terms of attack and defense.

DM will always be the ultimate wizzard thanks to the huge support it has.
TripfromBK
This card is pretty rad, and very easy to summon with a gravekeepers deck. Spiritualist or/and Priestess being S.summoned by spy/nobleman gets you a 🔥 in 3 turns, a lot of the time I only need 1 turn.

Thats why people play trap card and such. Even a single canadia can delay a turn for a comeback, if you still had something on hand.

This is the reason LP skills exist

From what DKayed recently said in his video on x-saber you can negate a monster's summon.
If you do they are considered 'has never actually been face up on the field. For Champion Vigilance on Quintet this means the latter won't field wipe and he is not indestructible as he must be 'face up' for this effect.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
While you are correct, that is rarely going to be useful to know for Quintet Magician, given the only Summon of his you can negate is his Flip Summon.
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Isn't quintet special summoned by card effect ? Pretty sure negate summon only works on monster that special summon itself. You had to negate the effect that summon it ( in this case polymerization )
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Hmm. I so basically all Synchro and Contact fusion summons are 'negateable summons' because they summon themselves?
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
It should be.
Saber hole intended to counter synchro in the first place, btw.

However please note that if your OP use spectral sword effect ( or somethin like that ), you can't negate it via Saber hole and such. Several cards can special summon synchro monster without Synchro summoning them.

What counter when you don't even have your next turn?
<< Anonymous

it takes a lot of time to summon quintet. if everyone keeps preventing you from summoning him after it took you 15 min each time for graveyard preparation then you won't be getting a lot of cumulated score. You may as well play a weaker deck that goes faster to get more score per minute
<< Anonymous
Anonymous Reply
Are you sure it takes 15min?
Lightsworn engine can summon this in turn 2.

All you need is Advanced Ritual Art + Keeper of Dragon Magic to summon quintet in turn 2. Nothing wrong with quintet. Magicalized Fusion is the one that should not exist.
