Tier List [Mar 15]

Mekk-Knight and Salamangreat Code Talker are demoted as a Tier 3 Decklist.
Burning Abyss, Madolche, and Rose Dragon are removed from the Tier List.
Crusadia and Rokket/Borrel are removed from the High-Potential List.

NOTES

The GameA Tier List is primarily based on King of Games decks submitted by users and performance in Tournament.

Tier list

Decks in Tier 1 and 2 are ones that are known to have achieved good success against other decks/players.

Meta decks

Meta decks are decks that are often commonly used by players in PvP. Meta decks will often change depending on newer cards or strategies, so we will keep updating this page often to keep everyone informed of newer decks.

Tier 0

Tier 0 decks are decks that completely dominate a meta and you either play the same deck or a deck that completely counters it (but loses to almost any other deck).

There are currently no Tier 0 decks

Tier 1

These decks are very well rounded. They have ways to deal with almost every deck and have very few weaknesses themselves.

What should i build koakis or vampires because many people talk about koakis getting nerfed soon and my gems expire in 9 days or so??

Koa'kis only have a Monty Since release And is one of the why people spend on the last Main box, i don't think gonna get a nerf in about 3 Month.

wtf koa' ki meiru is the mvp, even without canadias or floodgates it kick 🔥 with their own normal traps. Very f2p imho

Disagree. U.A.s have all their important cards in one box, while Koa'kis have one of their most important cards in another box with no other Koa'ki cards in it. Wtf konami

Reveal 1 card in your hand, destroy all of your opponents Spells/Traps.
Pretty OP for a very affordable deck.

I feel so bad using this deck at PLAT rank and at this time of the month too. I have now 20+ win streaks, not counting my intentional lose so that I won't reach legend and up.

Can I still go to heaven? The sad fact is that MOST (if not all) of my battles are prolonged ones, either a player has 5 or less cards remaining, or my opponent obviously decks out. I wasted their time, I guess my opponents didn't enjoy my playstyle either.

Thank God, UA is rare in PLAT.

I want to believe I can still go to heaven despite me ruining out other's experiences.

Yeah, so pay to win that you can get Koa'ki Meiru for free and totally destroy this build. (Which is actually a very bad deck...)

Yesterday they had amazoness banish control in tier 1. Now it is 3. What happened? What causes spellbook to keep switching between 1 and 2? And why isn't koaki higher? I kept seeing people on here and other yugioh sites talk about it like it is some ultimate thing. Between that and the quick KOG decks, I thought it would be higher. Is it because it is still new that they decided not to rate it tier 1 or 2 yet, or is it just hype? I haven't dueled it yet, so I am curious.

Good? They were broken. 2018 era archetype has no reason to be in a GX era DL.

The era the archetype was released is irrelevant.

What is probably currently the best deck in format is a 5D's era archetype (with a single Zexal-era card). The rest of the top is mostly a mix of Zexal, Arc-V and Vrains-era stuff, but once you get to the other stuff capable of getting to KOG, you've got stuff from pretty much every era bar DM.

the optimal versions of both decks are expensive especially balance koa'ki meiru.

They are budget if you are fine with an inconsistent build that wouldn't make it past platinum.

Koaki is the first tier 0 deck
far more dangerous than fure hire or sylvans before their nerf
staples like fth canadia dmf wod wr cc do nothing against koakis
you have to play spellbooks to negate diamond core but even so you will lose most of the games

Cyber Angels were introduced way too early and as a result were completely OP for their time, but not so much anymore since they are so vulnerable to backrow. At this point Koa'kis are better. They are probably some of the most annoying decks to face, right next to Anki OTK and Silvans. Fur hires were never as bad as this, and amazoness was pretty much f2p. Shouldn't have been nerfed imo.

The only deck worse than Koa'ki to face are annoying wevil parasyte garbage and, god forbid, bamboo OTK back in the day.

I'm hesitating to buy packs to make a Koa'ki deck because I know it'll be inevitable that Konami will nerf that deck to 🔥 next month. That's how it always happens. Happened to me with CA, Silvans, fur hire and SSA, and will happen to Koakis too, you just know it. What even is the point in trying to build a meta deck as f2p when it'll be nerfed next month :/

Real talk tho I reckon Konami just intros cards like bamboo to bait people into paying for them, only to ban them a month later so they'll pay for the next thing. Ever notic how most of the time when they target one particular archetype for bans that archetype becomes borderline unusable?

Some useful tips:
-Koa'ki Meiru maintenance cost always start from the monster in the far left zone and ends with the one in the right zone regardless of the summoning order, maximus is an exception here, its maintenance cost effect always activate last regardless of the monster zone it's in.
-if rooklord destroys yuel terror incarnate and fire king island the mandatory effect of the island will activate first then it can be chained by the optional effect of yubel terror incarnate, ultimate nightmare will be summoned first then immediately get destroyed by fire king effect, this goes for every card that destroys the field spell and yubel at the same time.
-if you chain any card that can destroy yubel terror incarnate to its turn end destruction effect terror incarnate will miss timing.
-necrovalley doesn't prohibit or negate Canadia special summoning from the graveyard, it's a bug that will be fixed soon.
-In order to prevent the Cosmo brain from tributing a newly set Psychic ace you have to set your toggle botton to ON or else you won't be asked to activate anything.
-a card that need 2 or 3 steps in order to fully resolve like vamipres kingdom and ties of the brethren can easily be disrupted, if you destroys the kingdom after targeting and before your opponent can send a monster to graveyard the destruction effect of kingdom will not be activated, if you flip the monster facedown ties will not summon any monster.
