Overview

Silent Swordsman is a powerful card that can easily fit in any deck that mostly runs Warrior-Type monsters like Gouki. The ability to negate a Spell every turn, floating into Silent Swordsman LV7, and support from Silent Sword Slash make Silent Swordsman quite a difficult monster to deal with.

If you use this Skill, you can only Special Summon 1 monster from your Extra Deck until the end of the turn.
This Skill can only be used/applied if you begin the Duel with a Deck (excluding Extra Deck) that contains at least 10 LIGHT Warrior-Type monsters.

How to Use

Silent Swordsman

Silent Swordsman	LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 1000 / DEF 1000
	Swordbound Silence [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 Warrior-Type monster, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during the Standby Phase: This card gains 500 ATK. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell Card is activated: You can negate the activation. If this card is destroyed by battle, or if this card in its owner's control is destroyed by an opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your hand or Deck, except "Silent Swordsman", ignoring its Summoning conditions.

You can Special Summon Silent Swordsman by tributing Gouki monsters, while also triggering the tributed Gouki's search effect. The inherent ATK gain is pretty slow but it helps. You will want to use Silent Sword Slash, to quickly make Silent Swordsman a more formidable beater on the field.

The Spell card negation will mostly be used to negate Invocation, Neos Fusion, Mask Change, and other fusion spells so your opponent can't get their boss monsters out. It can also negate Enemy Controller, Dark Magical Circle and other Spells that disrupt your board.

Watch out for Samurai Destroyer, Blue-Eyes Spirit Dragon, and other cards that can negate Silent Swordsman's floating effect.

Silent Swordsman LV7	LIGHT Warrior ★7 ATK 2800 / DEF 1000
	Crusaders Battleground [UR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by "Silent Swordsman LV5", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Negate all Spell effects on the field.

The non-LV Silent Swordsman can float into Silent Swordsman LV7 when it is destroyed. This is useful in cases where you don't have Silent Sword Slash, so you can crash Silent Swordsman into an opponent's monster to get a powerful beater onboard. Silent Swordsman LV7 has a more oppressive version of Silent Swordman's effect, entirely negating all Spell cards put on the field. This is why we use minimal Spells in this deck, excluding Silent Sword Slash which is immune to negation.

Silent Sword Slash

Silent Sword Slash	Quick Spell
	Crusaders Battleground [R] Swordbound Silence [R]
Target 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster you control; that target gains 1500 ATK and DEF, and if it does, it is unaffected by your opponent's card effects until the end of this turn. This card's activation and effect cannot be negated. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; add 1 "Silent Swordsman" monster from your Deck to your hand.

This is the “Silent Swordsman” version of Silent Burning, it’s much easier to activate compared to its counterpart and has an arguably better effect. This Quick-Play Spell permanently increases the ATK and DEF of a “Silent Swordsman” monster you control by 1500, and the best part is it makes that monster immune to all your opponent's effects until the end of the turn. Sphere Kuriboh, Drowning Mirror Force and other battle traps won’t be able to stop your monster, and you can even activate this card in response to them for protection. The immunity to negation is there so that Silent Swordsman LV7 does not shutdown his own support, but also prevents your opponent from negating this card.

Lastly, you can banish this card from the graveyard to search Silent Swordsman. You can send Silent Sword Slash to the graveyard as cost for something like Karma Cut, then banish it to get your base Silent Swordsman.

Arcana Knights Engine

Arcana Triumph Joker	LIGHT Warrior ★10 ATK ? / DEF 2500
	Imperial Joker [UR]
If this card is in your hand or GY: You can send 1 "Queen's Knight", "King's Knight", and "Jack's Knight" from your hand and/or face-up Monster Zone to the GY; Special Summon this card. This card gains 500 ATK x the combined number of cards in both players' hands. You can discard 1 card; destroy all face-up cards your opponent controls with the same type (Monster, Spell, or Trap) as the discarded card.

Imperial Bower	LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 1500 / DEF 1500
	Imperial Joker [SR]
If you control no other monsters: You can Tribute this card; take 2 different monsters from your Deck among "Queen's Knight", "King's Knight", and/or "Jack's Knight", and either add to your hand or Special Summon each monster. You can only use this effect of "Imperial Bower" once per turn.

Kings Knight	LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 1600 / DEF 1400
	Generation Next [R] Imperial Joker [R]
When this card is Normal Summoned while you control "Queen's Knight": You can Special Summon 1 "Jack's Knight" from your Deck.

Queens Knight	LIGHT Warrior ★4 ATK 1500 / DEF 1600
	Generation Next [N] Imperial Joker [N]
This knight catches her opponents off guard, dominating them with swift yet graceful attacks.

Jokers Straight	Normal Spell
	Imperial Joker [SR]
Discard 1 card, Special Summon 1 "Queen's Knight" from your Deck, add 1 "King's Knight" or "Jack's Knight" from your Deck to your hand, then, immediately after this effect resolves, you can Normal Summon 1 monster. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except LIGHT Warrior monsters. During the End Phase, if this card is in your GY: You can target 1 LIGHT Warrior monster in your GY; shuffle it into the Deck, and if you do, add this card to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Joker's Straight" once per turn.

Expendable Dai	Normal Trap
	Future Circuit [SR]
Tribute 1 Warrior monster, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it, and if you do, draw 1 card.

Karma Cut	Normal Trap
	Selection Box Vol. 02 Mini [SR]
Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; banish that target, then banish all cards with the same name as that monster from your opponent's Graveyard.

Karma Cut is a good removal card while also providing some graveyard disruption. Discounting Shiranui, not many decks can interact with their banish zone so a boss monster banished by Karma Cut would be devastating to the opponent. The discard cost can be used to put Silent Sword Slash in your graveyard and use it to search Silent Swordsman.

Additional Notes

The chance of drawing Silent Swordsman as your only monster without anything to Tribute for it is not that high, but it should still be pointed out that certain combinations of cards can leave you without any play and completely open.
The ATK boost from Silent Swordsman’s effect and from Silent Sword Slash can be nullified by flipping it face-down. This also turns off the mass negation of Silent Swordsman LV7. You can still chain Silent Sword Slash to a Floodgate Trap Hole, but you are not always going to have one available.

I pair this guy with Mystic swordsman to proof against "dies in battle" monsters, a Jinzo to negate all traps, and a Silent Swordsman LV7 in case someone decides to get too cheeky and attack the Silent Swordsman while its in its early stages.

Round out the whole thing with Noble Knights to feed the level 5 monsters and the Silent Swordsman, and a Canadia or two, and you have a deck that can run on almost any duelist.

really hate to see this site posts " silent swordsman " deck with half of it amazons cards. just call it hybrid .silent swordsman deck involves reg "silents swordsman +lv5 nd 7 lv up spell card ,ssl and good spells traps for support. meta thinking is getting out of hand

u need 2 get used to it, most of duel links decks are incomplete. It's a mobile game, decks cannot have the same support they have in the tcg, so hybrids are a good option

My apologies. I have only had to unlock a character through newer gate missions that got added on after events only once, so I am not exactly sure how it happens with Jesse. I just know that he is available at the gate. There is a photo on the Jesse Anderson page on this site that explains the missions. Try looking at that and searching absolutely everything on your GX stage menu. Hope it helps.

There's a single Silent Swordsman LV7, the chance of starting with it is around 20-25% not 50%.

I played more than 30 duels with just 1 lvl7 in my deck and in more than half of the duels lvl 7 was my opening hand -_-
