How to use this deck

The combination of "Parasite Infestation" skill and Jade Insect Whistle plays the role of the following three. By using this combo and Mask of the Accursed, reduce your opponent's stamina.

Note: Some players have 4-Starred Ladybug of Doom in their deck. In that case, they can place the monster to the top of their deck for the effect of Jade Insect Whistle.

Parasite combo!

  • "Skips" your opponent's card draw during their Draw Phase.
  • Inflicting 1000 points of effect damage to your opponent's LP.
  • Fills up your opponent's board with Parasite Paracides.

Attack Parasite with Gyaku-Gire Panda

Gyaku-Gire Panda can increase its ATK easily since your opponent will have multiple monsters on his side of the field due to special summoned Parasite Paracide. Pierce battle damage to your opponent's Life Points by beating Parasite Paracide.

Mystic Box
Mystic Box		You destroy one monster your opponent controls, and give card such as Cocoon of Evolution to be easily killed by your beatdown monsters or can be masked out by Mask of the Accursed.
Enemy Controller
Enemy Controller		You can use this card if you do not have enough copies of Sphere Kuriboh. Both cards help to prevent an opponent's monster from attacking.
Blast Held by a Tribute
Blast Held by a Tribute		Use this card if your opponent try to perform a tribute summon by tributing special summoned Parasite Paracide or a monster equips Mask of the Accursed.

These kinda of deck is just make the game less enjoyable for everyone. Sure you can use it and get an easy win, but then dueling won't be fun anymore. Parasyte needs to be nerfed in a game that only gives you 4000LP instead of 8000LP.

more than 30 parasite kog's decks and you rating by 6.5.... really? i don't ask you 9.5... but, 6.5? maybe an 8.0 or 8.5 should be the right rating

What are some good counters to this deck? I'd like to consider my own deck to be well rounded, however I cannot seem to get past this particular deck. I don't want to use tribute summoning because (obviously) Blast is a counter to that entire play. So, what can I use to really get past this deck?

Blast held is not a staple in all decks, so tributing is at least better than doibg nothing, but it is a risk. The other best counter to mask is twister/de-spell or other spell removal.

paying 500 to twister it isn't really an option honestly unless it wins you the game immediately.

I legit believe this deck should be ranked higher. Out of all the decks out there, this one gets me to kog pretty easy.

This game is starting to suck. Everyone uses this deck because they have no type of imagination, skill, or a life. This is all I face and somehow I've barely made it to Gold now when I used to at least make it to Plat and then almost king of games. But this deck is literally the only thing I face, along with Tea Burn deck. This game was awesome and now I'm just starting to hate it because of this unoriginality.

I run Weevil deck myself, I am not a fan of pumpinks. You're gonna need that space for mask-burning land(2)

I used to run 3 Pumpkins. They are good in lower leves because they don't run de-spells. But like you said, you can't pass gold. I switched them out for Burning lands because they are essential against HHG which is most of the meta.

Who said lower levels don't run de-spell? Usually most deck on avg run 1 despell alike. They cant stop fast enough. Running 3 is already exploiting.

I got to plat 2 in 2 hours in the world championships qualifiers playing nothing else but Parasite Infestation. In my opinion this deck should be rated higher.

I see. Well then I would consider using 2 peeking goblin if you have any from beating yami bukura in the recent event that just passed. If you collected peeking goblins it'll allow you to see 3 face up cards in your opponents deck and move 1 to the bottom and 2 at the top in the order you choose. So if you find your parasite in the deck it should allow you to move it on top of the deck. If your running 3 of these in your deck it'll be destructive. Also on top of that it should favor the odds of the battle at the same time knowing what the opponent has and is gonna draw each turn

Running 3 of those cards would not be a good idea. Jade Whistle already brings them directly to the top so why bother with other cards that do so? Plus if you don't find the parasite in those 3 cards which is very possible/likely you've essentially wasted a card in your hand and deck. Decks with 20 cards/all competitive decks, can't afford to add 3 "ok" cards.

Jade the whistle doesn't always bring your parasite on top due to the over use of 4 star lady bug. Higher end decks run multiple 4 star lady bugs due to its effect. So I'm my personal opinion I think peeking goblin would be more of a positive attribute to add in the deck. Even if you don't get the parasite when you activate it. You get to Reveal opp deck and strategize from their.

Knowing your opponents next 3 cards isn't a huge advantage, if so everyone would use Mind Scan. And yes I'll agree on ladybug, but not a lot of decks run with ladybug let alone more than one. Peek Goblin would take too long to ensure parasite gets out quickly and if they have 3 monsters already you're screwed
