Why does the effect not activate when this card is drawn with last gamble/switcheroo

please fix the bug of this, effect not fire

its weird since hane hane activates if flipped even if it is destroyed but even the anime shows in duel monsters when joey fought against mako tsunami and left parasite paracide in his deck he was confused why the effect didnt activate and mako tsunami explained it only activates if it survives.
I agree that the card is bugged. As someone said, other flip cards, like Hane-Hane, always have their effect applied before been destroyed. The order is always this: attack, flip, effect activation, destruction. This order is applied to all the other flip effect monsters, except for Parasite Paracide. For me, the description make it clear that, if the card is flipped, it is sent to the oponent's hand. The destruction should resolve after the effect activation, exactly like other cards. In older Yugioh games, the effect of this card always applied even if the card should be destroyed.

Your statement is simply incorrect. You are not factoring in a 2 things. 1- The age of the card. 2- The resolution of the chains. 1) Parasite Paracide is an older card which was created during a time when many cards didn't have novel size text effects. Older cards generally did't need specific detail on the activation of the card. Simply because of the lack of effect monsters during the time.

As time continued to go forward, Competition became stronger. Players started to be more precise on the activation of the cards. In response, Konami began making better detail activation. They even said things such as: (Before Damage Step) (Apply Damage Step Normally) They did this in order to add more strategy to the game. I.E Cards missing activation timing!

2) (Chains Links) Resolve Backwards Attack > Flip > Flip Effect Activation Put in opponents Deck > Damage Step ^^ The above is how it actives. However, It isn't how it resolves. CL 1: Damage Step CL 2: Put in opponents deck CL 1 has it going to grave. However, the chain isn't over yet. CL 2 has it going to your opponents deck. Thus, You see how it works!

3) The way Charmers works: Attack > Flip > Flip Effect Activation > Damage Step CL 1: Damage Step CL 2: take monster while on the field CL 1 has it going to grave. The chain isn't over yet. CL 2 has it taking a monster. Your monster is taken. A new chain is than made as the Charmer leaves the field! CL 1: Gives back control of monster. Charmer says "While on field". Thus, the flip-flop!
This card is Bugged (No pun intended), if it is drawn using Bandit Keith's "Switcharoo" the effect doesn't trigger.

Yeah you are right, I have also noticed that. Thnx for sharing

Here is something worth mentioning: if your opponents side of the field is full and he/she/apache helicopter draws the card, its effect does not trigger! So the cards effect only triggers whenever there is a free monster spot on their side of the field.
So how do we get a hold of more than one parasite? or we can't anymore

Leveling weevil
i battled someone with 4 parasite paracides. 3 of them sent to my deck and 1 on the field. wtf????

3 are from the Weevil's skill "Parasite Infestation" and one is from leveling him up

You dumbass Anon he's talking about how you can't have more than 3 copies of the same card in a deck
<< Anonymous
Anoymous Reply
Are you for real? Anon is totally right. He only has one active copy on his deck. The other three are just added through a skill. It's like the Exodia skill that could potentially make you have over 30 cards in your deck.
Well, according to this site there is only 1 copy of "Parasite Paracide" in the whole game. But, the other day I battled against someone who had 2 copies of the card. How to get more copies?

Your opponent only has one copy on his deck. The others are part of his skill. He randomly adds from 1 to 3 of those to your deck, but they aren't really his cards. They just show up out of nowhere
I agree. Something is "bugged" with the flip effect as compared to other flip effect cards.

Card Sensei Reply
The card is not bugged. You need to flip summon yourself for the effect to resolve. If it get killed by opponent the card effect WILL not activate

RS Reply
Sensei, the official Konami ruling on this card says otherwise
