I agree that the card is bugged. As someone said, other flip cards, like Hane-Hane, always have their effect applied before been destroyed. The order is always this: attack, flip, effect activation, destruction. This order is applied to all the other flip effect monsters, except for Parasite Paracide. For me, the description make it clear that, if the card is flipped, it is sent to the oponent's hand. The destruction should resolve after the effect activation, exactly like other cards. In older Yugioh games, the effect of this card always applied even if the card should be destroyed.
Well ur statement isn't 100% correct. The order actually goes flip, attack, destruction (or survive), effect activation. For instance when u attack hane, ladybug, or even skelengel, the card is destroyed and as its being sent to the GY the effect activates. If the effect was supposed to take place first then ladybug would 🔥 a lvl 4 attacking her before dying.
You may be right about the ladybug, but look at the charmers, they always have their effect applied before going to the graveyard. There is even an animation about them. It is clear that the destruction happens after the activation.
Yeah, the charmers are a bit tricky compared to these cards. I think it is attack -> damage calculation -> flip effect activates -> flip effect continues to active and resolves by checking if the damage calculation would have sent it to the graveyard or if it's still alive.
It's easy bro.. This card must survive to go to the opponent's deck.. If this card is destroyed in battle, although the effect of the card has been activated, a few moment later the card is destroyed, so automatically is sent to your graveyard, and the effect has been canceled.. It's so easy..
The issue here is that Parasite Paracide is in fact activating, but gets destroyed by the end of the resolve, which ends up sending it to the graveyard.
Not sure if it's officially a glitch, but it sure is bugging me (pun totally intended) because I really want to run a Paracide deck.
It is a glitch. Look at the official ruling page from Konami on the you gi oh wiki. This is the same reason cards switch sides for a second when charmers get flipped before immediately returning when the charmer has lower DEF than the attacking monster. The official ruling states that it is activated and goes to the opponent deck even if it would be destroyed by battle.
If indicate under "flip:" it shld be activate once flip no matter when and how unless negated. If not is be like some card that say "when this card is flip summoned"
