Here are some cards which players use frequently in PvP matches, and their effects target a monster. So Chaos Command Magician can counter them.
Dream Clown, Crass Clown, and Guardian Statue in a clown control deck all target monsters, which will make it ineffective against Chaos Command Magician. Though summoning it can be difficult if they ever get proper board control.
Hane-Hane and Gale Lizard are useful cards that can return monsters from the field, but since their effects targets 1 monster on the field, targeting Chaos Command Magician will negate their effects.
Commonly used in many decks, Relinquished can choose a monster to equip and gain their attack. Targeting Chaos Command Magician will get their effects negated, leaving them with no equipped monster and 0 attack.
Cards like Barrel Dragon, Twin-Barrel Dragon, and Dark Voltanis all targets a monster, which will be ineffective against Chaos Command Magician. This can be useful if used against Bandit Keith to farm him.
