Thank you for sharing your tips with us IGN: lapar4duel
The first time I reached DLv Max with Meklord. Okay, so the main goal is to swarm the field with all your monster the best line-up probably Triskelion, Synchro Absorption & Meklord Army Wisel then you got big boss that can steal your opponent extra deck monster with piercing and attack multiple times on monster + destruction negation.
Meklord Army Deployer Obbligato | LIGHT Machine ★4 ATK 1200 / DEF 1800 |
Force of Infinity [SR] | |
During your Main Phase: You can activate this effect; destroy this card, and if you do, Special Summon 2 "Meklord Army" monsters from your Deck in Defense Position, except "Meklord Army Deployer Obbligato", also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Machine monsters. If this card is sent to the GY: You can activate this effect; during the End Phase of this turn, you can inflict 50 damage to your opponent for each "Meklord" monster you control. You can only use each effect of "Meklord Army Deployer Obbligato" once per turn. |
The main core of this deck is Obbligato and assembly to thin out your deck asap. Obbligato will destroy itself to special summon 2 Meklord Army straight from your deck while assembly is simple search your monster just like Fire Formation - Tenki.
Boon of the Meklord Emperor | Normal Spell |
The King of Vermillion [N] Force of Infinity [N]
If the only face-up monsters on the field are 2 "Meklord" monsters: Draw 2 cards. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card. |
Boon is your Pot of Greed, can be searched by skill and best used on first turn because you must skip your battle the turn you activate this card.
The ideal way on first turn is special summon the Army by Obbligato effect, either combination of Granel and Skiel or Wisel and Skiel. So any of those two with Skiel because Skiel has floating effect where it special summon another the Army from deck if it's destroyed by battle.
Sometimes you summon emperor wisel on the first turn after Obbligato self-destruct if you are sure your opponent play lot of spell and Wisel can negate any spell once per turn also if it's still survived until your next main phase, it can equip opponent synchro monster per turn and you ended up swarming 3 monsters on the first turn act as tough wall.
Meklord Emperor Wisel | DARK Machine ★1 ATK 2500 / DEF 2500 |
The King of Vermillion [SR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When a face-up monster you control is destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card from your hand. Other monsters you control cannot declare an attack. Once per turn: You can target 1 Synchro Monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when your opponent activates a Spell Card: You can negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. |
Meklord Army of Wisel | DARK Machine ★4 ATK 1800 / DEF 0 |
The King of Vermillion [R] Force of Infinity [R]
This card gains 100 ATK for each "Meklord" monster on the field, except this card. Once per turn, when another "Meklord" monster you control declares an attack on a Defense Position monster your opponent controls: You can activate this effect; during that battle, if it attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. |
Meklord Army of Granel | EARTH Machine ★4 ATK 1600 / DEF 1200 |
The King of Vermillion [R] Force of Infinity [R] [R]
This card gains 100 ATK for each "Meklord" monster on the field, except this card. When this card is Normal Summoned: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; halve that target's ATK, until the end of this turn. |
Meklord Army of Skiel | WIND Machine ★4 ATK 1200 / DEF 1000 |
The King of Vermillion [R] Force of Infinity [R]
This card gains 200 ATK for each "Meklord" monster on the field, except this card. When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Meklord Army" monster from your Deck. |
You can also Xyz Summon Gear Gigant X by using the army on first turn to search Synchro Absorption, in case your Meklord Emperor Wisel is targeted by your opponent and you just tribute it.
It can stop 1 opponent monster to attack for 1 turn after special summoned and has Stardust Dragon like effect, tribute itself to negate destruction effect. Tributing Emperor Wisel also makes you free to attack with all your monsters since it has drawback to stop your other monster from attack except itself.
Gear Gigant X | EARTH Machine ★4 ATK 2300 / DEF 1500 |
Voltage of the Metal [UR]
2 Level 4 Machine-Type monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add 1 Level 4 or lower Machine-Type monster from your Deck or Graveyard to your hand. When this card leaves the field: You can target 1 Level 3 or lower "Geargia" monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. |
Meklord Emperor Wisel - Synchro Absorption | DARK Machine ★1 ATK 2500 / DEF 2500 |
Force of Infinity [SR] | |
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect. During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can send 1 face-up "Meklord" monster you control to the GY; Special Summon this card from your hand. You can only use this effect of "Meklord Emperor Wisel - Synchro Absorption" once per turn. If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; it cannot attack for the rest of this turn. When a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card. |
Btw, as you can see, I put Mekanikle in this deck because I only have 1 Triskelion as Boss Monster but you don't really need to run it if you have multiple copies of Triskelion because mekanikle is not as good as Triskelion. It can win me the game if your opponent has no backrow and monster with quick effect and if you have Triskelion in your hand, you got 2 Big Boss but it's rare occasion.
Meklord Astro Mekanikle | LIGHT Machine ★12 ATK 4000 / DEF 4000 |
Force of Infinity [UR] | |
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by sending 3 "Meklord" monsters from your hand to the Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can target 1 Synchro Monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of the monsters equipped to it by this effect. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase: You can send 1 of these equipped monsters you control to the Graveyard; inflict damage to your opponent equal to half that monster's original ATK. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this effect. |
Meklord Astro Dragon Triskelion | DARK Machine ★10 ATK 3000 / DEF 0 |
Selection Box Vol.04 Mini [SR]
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 3 "Meklord" monsters with different names from your GY. Once per turn, when this card declares an attack: You can look at your opponent's Extra Deck and equip 1 monster from it to this card. This card gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of those equipped monsters. While equipped with a Synchro Monster, this card can make up to 3 attacks on monsters during each Battle Phase. |
For the spell/trap, I put 2 Assembly because so far I only have 2, putting 3 is recommended for better consistency. Assembly can get rid of opponent face-up spell/trap like Field Spell, Continuous Spell or Equip Spell say decks like Gaia, Dark Magician and Blackwing often have face-up spell/trap.
In my version, I don't bring lot of trap like Compulsory Evacuation Device, I instead put only 1 Treacherous Trap Hole and Quick-Play Spells like Book of Moon and E-Con. Also I bring Soundproofed and Intercept Wave since Rose Dragon is the current tier 1 and feel the true playstyle of Meklord, Anti-Synchro deck.
Book of Moon | Quick Spell |
Chaotic Soldiers [UR] Selection Box Vol.04 [UR]
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; change that target to face-down Defense Position. |
Enemy Controller | Quick Spell |
Seto Kaiba [SR] Seto Kaiba (DSOD) [SR] Ranked Rewards [SR]
Activate 1 of these effects.● Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change that target's battle position.● Tribute 1 monster, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; take control of that target until the End Phase. |
Soundproofed | Normal Spell |
Duel Links Mission Research [SR]
This card can only be activated at the start of Main Phase 1, and only if you control no face-up Synchro Monsters. Neither player can Special Summon a Synchro Monster until your opponent's next End Phase. |
Intercept Wave | Quick Spell |
Card Flipper Campaign [SR]
All Synchro Monsters on the field are changed to Defense Position. And then, return all face-up Synchro Monsters to the Extra Deck during the End Phase. |
For Extra Deck, Gear Gigant X is important act as additional search. Run 2-3 is recommended.
Ironwolf can also act as passive search after it's destroyed by your opponent card and can make 1 your machine monster attack directly bypassing any annoying monster like Samurai Destroyer or the one that has 3k + ATK if you hesitate unable to OTK if you attack them.
The rest is any rank 4 machine monster but if you don't activate Obbligato effect, then you can summon any non-machine extra deck monster in case you need in that situation.
Heavy Armored Train Ironwolf | EARTH Machine ★4 ATK 2200 / DEF 2200 |
The Unstoppable Love Train: Anna Unlock Event [UR]
2 Level 4 Machine-Type monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Machine-Type monster you control; this turn, it can attack your opponent directly, also other monsters cannot attack. If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: You can add 1 Level 4 Machine-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. |
Samurai Destroyer | EARTH Machine ★7 ATK 2600 / DEF 1400 |
Dark Dimension [R] Fantastic Arc [R]
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card battles an opponent's monster, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step, also that opponent's monster has its effects negated during the Battle Phase only. If this face-up card in its owner's control leaves the field because of an opponent's card effect: You can target 1 Machine monster in your GY; Special Summon it. |
Indeed, this deck is strong due to its skill overall but at least it restricts you from running any staple handtrap like Kiteroid, Sphere Kuriboh, D.D. Crow because you can only run Meklord monsters in your main deck so it's quite balance skill but addition of Meklord Astro Dragon Triskelion is also the reason why this deck can compete the meta.
D.D. Crow | DARK Winged Beast ★1 ATK 100 / DEF 100 |
Shining Hope [UR] Selection Box Vol.05 [UR]
During either player's turn: You can discard this card to the Graveyard to target 1 card in your opponent's Graveyard; banish that target. |
Sphere Kuriboh | DARK Fiend ★1 ATK 300 / DEF 200 |
The Ultimate Rising [UR] Selection Box Vol. 01 [UR] Special Set Bundle Sale [UR]
When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; change the attacking monster to Defense Position. When you Ritual Summon a monster, you can banish this card from your Graveyard as 1 of the monsters required for the Ritual Summon. |
Kiteroid | WIND Machine ★1 ATK 200 / DEF 400 |
Card Trader [SR] | |
